Francesco Renga è in viaggio per
l’Italia con il suo "Ferro e Cartone
tour 2008" che toccherà anche le
sponde del Lario il 23 aprile alle
21, con un'unica data al Teatro
Sociale di Como.
Dopo tredici anni con i Timoria,
che hanno permesso alla
voce potente ed espressiva di
Renga di perfezionarsi e maturare
e con all’attivo centinaia di
concerti in tutta Europa e sette
album, Renga comincia a sentirsi
a disagio costretto nel ruolo
piuttosto limitativo di cantante
di un gruppo rock, ed è sempre
più desideroso di sperimentare
nuove modalità vocali e di trovare
spazio per la propria vena
compositiva.
Il sodalizio di Francesco con la
band si interrompe alla fine del
1998: una separazione non priva
di traumi, ma che ha permesso
al cantautore di esprimersi in
canzoni come "Raccontami "e
"Impressioni di settembre" con

rinnovamento del suo linguaggio

Francesco Renga come protagonista
indiscusso del panorama
musicale italiano: vincerà infatti
il Festival di Sanremo con il brano

e di vendita per molto tempo.
Con la pubblicazione di "Ferro
e cartone", Francesco Renga
giunge al suo quarto album da
solista (oltre 200mila le copie
vendute).

and with a hundred European
in his expressiveness in the 80s. He

dissatisfied with the restrictions of
his rock band singing role and
feels more and more ready to
spread his wings vocally and also
try his hand at songwriting Francesco’s
involvement with his band
came to an end late in 1998: this
rather traumatic rift did enable
the singer-songwriter to express
his feelings in songs like "Raccontami"
and "Impressioni di settembre",
which gave him fantastic
exposure.
But 2005 was to be the year Francesco
Renga would unquestionably
dominate the Italian music
scene: he was to win the Sanremo
Song Contest with "Angelo" which
topped the radio and sales’ charts
for ages. Francesco’s release "Ferro
e Cartone" is his 4th solo album
(with sales of over 200,000 copies).

Lake Como. Sergio Fabian Lavia and
Dilene Ferraz – guitarist and composer
the former, percussionist, vocalist
and flautist the latter – having been
joined by loving destiny in Menaggio,
also tied the artistic knot.
Dilene has been singing since she
was 9, and came from Brasil in 1993
to Milan’s civic Jazz School. Sergio
first studied in his native city Buenos
Aires, and then went on to qualify
as a guitarist at Milan’s Giuseppe
Verdi Music School and take up a
career which has taken him all over
the world. He has recently composed
background music for RAI TV

lui, percussionista, voce e
flautista lei – dopo aver unito i loro
destini amorosi in quel di Menaggio,
sono diventati un duo anche
dal punto di vista artistico. Dilene
canta da quando aveva 9 anni, e nel
1993 dal Brasile è approdata alla
Scuola Civica Jazz di Milano. Sergio
studia nella sua città d’origine,
Buenos Aires, per poi diplomarsi in
chitarra al Conservatorio "Giuseppe
Verdi" di Milano e lanciarsi in una
carriera che lo ha portato in tutti i
Paesi del mondo. Sue musiche hanno
di recente accompagnato trasmissioni
tv alla Rai, mentre al Teatro
degli Arcimboldi di Milano ha
presentato con uno show di tango
il nuovo film di Gabriele Muccino.
Dilene canta e suona il flauto e le
percussioni. Istinto e temperamento
sono le doti della sua versatile
voce, che gioca mirabilmente con
timbri e intensità, reinventando anche
i classici sudamericani. Dopo
tanti album solisti i due musicisti
hanno deciso di condividere voci
e strumenti nel disco "Dall’Argentina
al Brasile". Il repertorio spazia
dal genere popolare (tango, bossa
nova, milonga e maracatù) a musiche
d’autore appartenenti alla
cosiddetta tradizione colta, come
Heitor Villa Lobos e Astor Piazzolla.
Da qualche tempo, poi, Sergio si
misura con nuove tecniche espressive
di "live electronics" in brani
originali confluiti nel suo recente
disco solista intitolato "Ailen".

Her versatile voice blessed with
instinct and temperament has a
masterly command of timbre and
intensity, which she has used among

classics. After many solo albums
the two musicians have decided
to combine voices and instruments
in a disc ‘From Argentina to Brasil’.
Material ranges from the populargenre
(tango, bossa nova, milonga
and maracatù) to composer pieces
belonging to the so-called cultured
tradition like Heitor Villa Lobos and
Astor Piazzolla. For some time too,
Sergio has been tackling new and
expressive ‘live electronics’ techniques
in original numbers included
in his latest solo disc entitled ‘Ailen’.
Meanwhile the duo are working on a
new, 4-handed CD containig some
Italian songs as well.
