All’internodel sistema dei Porti Palermo - TerminiImerese, negli ultimi anni è stato pro-prio il porto di Termini Imerese a registrareun evidente trend di crescita nellamovimentazione di merci tradizionalie, soprattutto, nel traffico roll on – rolloff, con la presenza delle linee coperteda Strade Blu, Cartour e Grandi NaviVeloci. L’Autorità portuale di Palermoha creato le condizioni per lo sviluppodei traffici con interventi che hannomigliorato l’operatività del porto, dallapavimentazione delle banchine all’illuminazione,dalla recinzione dell’areaportuale alla rivisitazione delle aree edei terminal in concessione agli operatori,oltre al consolidamento strutturaledelle massicciate delle banchine.Nel dettaglio: sono stati completati ilavori di consolidamento dei cassonidelle banchine del porto commercialeper un importo lordo complessivo 18milioni 750, mentre sono di prossimaconsegna i lavori di ripristino staticodei piazzali del porto commerciale e ilrifacimento di impianti e arredi (importocomplessivo lordo 21 milioni 600 mila).Con il primo intervento si è provvedutoal consolidamento della struttura di sostegnodella banchina di riva (costituitadai cassoni), mentre con il secondo siopera il consolidamento dei retrostantipiazzali, la realizzazione di tutti gliimpianti (elettrico, idrico, fognario e diilluminazione) e degli arredi portuali(parabordi compresi).
