Nothing runs like the
new John Deere tractor series
You might be tempted to call
the John Deere 8R/8RT series the new refined series,
as the well-known tractor company took everything
customers love about the 8030 series tractors
– such as the best fuel economy and the best reliability
in their class – and added a cab with all-new
controls, displays, and comfort. The horsepower was
also bumped up, which offers John Deere clients
more choices.
The all-new 8RT series completely redefines
the track tractor with increased horsepower and increased
hydraulic, hitch-lift and fuel capacities. The
track tractor boasts an all-new, massive, suspended
undercarriage system and the available Infinitely
Variable Transmission – a first for any track tractor.
As producers take on more hectares and their
farm operations continue to grow, producers and
their employees are spending more of their working
time in the tractor cabs. New 8R series tractors help
operators work more comfortably and productively.

TRANSMISSION
For the first time ever, John Deere makes its
Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) available
on 8RT series track tractors. This optional
feature allows operators to use a single lever to
smoothly shift from 0 to 38 km/h or any speed
in between. With IVT, customers first dial in a
specific ground speed. Then, the engine and
transmission work together to keep the tractor
operating at that speed — instantly responding
to changes in load conditions.

its next-generation John Deere CommandViewII
