Arbusto escandente, 1,2-3,00 m de altura. Ramos cilíndricos e vilosos. Folhas pecioladas;
pecíolo 3-5 mm de comprimento, levemente canaliculado, pubescente; lâmina 2-4,6 cm de comprimento,
1,4-3,2 cm de largura, de estreitamente a largamente elíptica ou suborbicular, base aguda
ou obtusa, ápice agudo ou obtuso, freqüentemente retuso a emarginado, raramente mucronulado,
subcoriácea, ambas as faces, quando jovens, densamente pubescentes, por fim, face superior, de levemente
pubescente a glabriuscula e, algumas vezes, subnítida, face inferior pubescente, margem
plana ou subrevoluta; padrão de nervação eucampto-broquidódromo. Panículas pequenas, 5-12 cm
de comprimento, densifloras; raque cilíndrica, ereta, tomentosa; pedicelo 1,8-2,0 mm de comprimento,
tomentoso; bractéolas ovadas, de ápice agudo, pubescentes no dorso e levemente pubérulas
