Emissions, effluents and waste
EN16 Total direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse
gases, by weight
EN17 Other relevant indirect emissions of greenhouse gases,
by weight
EN21 Total water disposal, by quality and destination
There is still no systematic study of direct and indirect GHG emissions derived from the operations
of the CCR Group.
The CCR Group does not monitor other types of significant indirect emissions of
greenhouse gases (GHG), but it has performed studies for the purpose of increasing
the use of ethanol as a fuel, and natural gas, in its fleet of vehicles, in order to reduce
the volume of GHG emissions.
The CCR Group does not quantify this indicator.
EN22 Total weight of waste, by type and method of
disposal
The CCR Group still has no consolidated information for responding to this indicator. One of
the challenges for its sustainability actions, in 2009 and 2010, will be specifically to attempt to
advance in solid waste management, which will be the focus of a wide-ranging study involving
all of the concessionaires, so that it will be possible to trace the complete cycle from collection
to final destination of the waste picked up on the highways being administrated. Once this
phase has been concluded, the objective is for the mapping to indicate which improvements
should be implemented.
EN23 Number and total volume of significant spills As in the previous year, there were no significant occurrences, in 2008.
Products and services
EN26 Initiatives for alleviating the environmental impacts of
products and services
EN27 Percentage of products and their respective
packaging recovered, in relation to the total products sold,
by product category
Compliance
EN28 Significant fines and the total number of nonmonetary
sanctions resulting from noncompliance with
environmental laws and regulations
Sustainability in practice / Environmental preservation
(Pages 87 - 92)
This indicator does not apply to the business of the CCR Group.
During the period covered by the report (2008), the CCR Group did not record any
significant fines or non-monetary sanctions in the environmental area.
Social performance – Labor practices and decent work
Approach to social management Vision of Sustainability (Page 34) /
Sustainability in practice / Respect for people (Pages 70 - 76)
Employment
LA1 Total workers by type of job, work contract, and region Sustainability in practice / Respect for people (Page 70)
LA3 Comparison of benefits granted to full-time and parttime
employees
Full-time or part-time employees, or those with a time-limited work contract, have
the right to all benefits, except CCRPrev (private pension plan), which also does not
cover trainees. In the case of temporary contracts that are currently few in number
in the CCR Group, mainly for covering eventual leaves of absence or vacations,
transportation and grocery or meal vouchers are offered and paid directly by the
temporary services agencies.
Relations between workers and the administrators
LA4 Percentage of employees covered by collective All employees of the CCR Group are covered by collective bargaining agreements.
bargaining agreements
LA5 Minimum notification period for operational and
information changes, if this is specified in collective
bargaining agreements
Within the scope of the collective bargaining agreements, there is no preestablished
period for notifying employees of significant operational changes.
When necessary, they are notified at least three weeks in advance.
