Conclusão
Os estudos de transesterificação
enzimática ainda são muito recentes,
mas já demonstram o potencial desta
tecnologia na transesterificação de
óleos vegetais. As vantagens da reação
enzimática frente às tecnologias
químicas são evidentes, e justificam o
investimento em pesquisas e desenvolvimento
de tecnologia nacional para
implantação no Brasil.
Tomando como exemplo o
que ocorreu com a indústria de gorduras
e óleos na década de oitenta,
tendo sido substituído o processo de
hidrólise química pelo enzimático
com aumento de qualidade e de produtividade,
a indústria do biodiesel
deve conhecer e testar as tecnologias
enzimáticas para este processo.
