RESUMO<br />
“Fé na Terra” é um documentário sobre a Troca de Saberes 2011, evento que ocorre na<br />
Universi<strong>da</strong>de Federal de Viçosa e busca resgatar e valorizar o conhecimento popular<br />
dialogando com o conhecimento científico, de forma a quebrar a hierarquia que existe entre<br />
esses saberes. Contado por seus protagonistas, o documentário mostra como juntos os<br />
movimentos sociais, agricultores, sindicalistas, mulheres, jovens, pesquisadores e técnicos<br />
tentam gerar uma nova plataforma de conhecimento.<br />
Através de temas pertinentes aos seus cotidianos- como agricultura familiar, a luta pela<br />
permanência na terra, o cui<strong>da</strong>do com o meio ambiente, as questões de gênero, a construção<br />
de uma educação que aten<strong>da</strong> aos jovens do campo e a cultura popular – numa perspectiva<br />
agroecológica, esses 'personagens' <strong>da</strong> vi<strong>da</strong> real propõem um novo modelo de socie<strong>da</strong>de.<br />
Uma socie<strong>da</strong>de mais justa, mais igualitária, que respeite as diferenças, mas que<br />
principalmente respeite a natureza e o meio ambiente.<br />

ABSTRACT<br />
“Fé na Terra” is a documentary about the event “Troca de Saberes 2011” that happens<br />
annually in Viçosa Federal University. This event intends to rescue and value folk<br />
knowledge and its interaction with formal scientific knowledge seeking to break the<br />
hierarchic gap between them. Told by its protagonists, the documentary shows the<br />
interaction between social movements, farmers, union members, women, youth, researchers<br />
and technicians trying to engender a new platform of knowledge.<br />
Through subjects related to their <strong>da</strong>ily activities – like family agriculture, the struggle to<br />
keep their rural property, gender related matters, an education system that fits rural youth<br />
and folk culture – in an agro ecologic approach, these real life characters suggest a new<br />
society model. A society with more equal opportunities and fairness, respecting the<br />
differences and mostly respecting nature and environment.<br />
