2.8.5 – Infra-Estrutura <strong>de</strong> Distribuição <strong>de</strong> Água e Coleta <strong>de</strong> Esgoto<br />
A re<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> distribuição <strong>de</strong> água abrange praticamente to<strong>da</strong> a área urbaniza<strong>da</strong> <strong>de</strong><br />
Embu. Segun<strong>do</strong> os <strong>da</strong><strong>do</strong>s <strong>da</strong> SABESP apresenta<strong>do</strong>s na Tabela 16 a seguir, praticamente<br />
100% <strong>do</strong>s <strong>do</strong>micílios estão liga<strong>do</strong>s à re<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> água. Em 2000 a SABESP registrou 53<br />
325 ligações <strong>do</strong>miciliares e o Censo 2000 i<strong>de</strong>ntificou 53 592 <strong>do</strong>micílios particulares<br />
ocupa<strong>do</strong>s no município. Nesse ano 8 315 <strong>do</strong>micílios particulares estavam <strong>de</strong>socupa<strong>do</strong>s<br />
em Embu (fecha<strong>do</strong>s ou com uso ocasional).<br />
O Mapa 30 mostra a existência <strong>de</strong>sse tipo <strong>de</strong> infra-estrutura em quase to<strong>da</strong>s as<br />
vias com ocupações urbanas. As áreas rurbanas não estão equipa<strong>da</strong>s com re<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> água.<br />
Essas áreas <strong>de</strong> urbanização rarefeita utiliza formas alternativas <strong>de</strong> abastacimento.<br />
A re<strong>de</strong> coletora <strong>de</strong> esgoto não apresenta o mesmo quedro. A Tabela 16 mostra<br />
que em 2000 havia 45,8% <strong>do</strong> total <strong>de</strong> <strong>do</strong>micílios em Embu liga<strong>do</strong>s à re<strong>de</strong> coletora. Em<br />
1995 essa taxa era <strong>de</strong> 29,01%. O Programa Guarapiranga instalou um coletor tronco ao<br />
longo <strong>do</strong> rio Embu-Mirim <strong>para</strong> servir à re<strong>de</strong> instala<strong>da</strong> em vários núcleos próximos à<br />
BR-116 que, porém, não está ca<strong>da</strong>stra<strong>da</strong> funcionan<strong>do</strong> em vários casos cla<strong>de</strong>stinamente.
