Que apontamentos faria em relação ao mercado de
preservativos de madeira: há espaço para crescer mais
nos próximos anos, com medidas que incentivem toda
a cadeia produtiva?
A previsão de investimentos em infraestrutura no
país em 2018 apresenta cenário otimista para a madeira
tratada: no setor ferroviário há previsão de investimentos
em torno de R$ 57,1 milhões a partir do próximo ano, com
projetos que visam a ampliação, construção e manutenção
de ferrovias. Existe uma análise de que se essa ampliação
representar o uso de ferrovias eletrificadas, seriam construídas
estruturas que permitiriam a diversificação dos
negócios e ainda levar eletricidade até as comunidades
mais remotas. Destaca-se ainda que segundo especialistas
do setor a ferrovia, mesmo a diesel, é menos poluente que
o modelo rodoviário.
Além disso, podemos dizer que o uso da madeira tratada
com qualidade pode ampliar a movimentação de cargas
nas ferrovias, trazendo mais segurança e menos interrupções
no tráfego ferroviário, aumentando o fluxo de trens
carregados, principalmente de produtos do agronegócio.
Os programas habitacionais, dentre eles o “Minha Casa
Minha Vida”, assim como a retomada de crescimento do
setor da construção civil, também apontam para uma obtenção
de resultados melhores que os alcançados esse ano.
Sem falar no agronegócio, principal mercado para nosso
setor, que segundo as previsões, permanecerá aquecido.
O que podemos prever para 2018 no setor?
Acreditamos que o setor da preservação de madeiras
terá um ano com resultados melhores que os alcançados
em 2017. Primeiramente pelos investimentos previstos
em infraestrutura, que contribuirão de forma importante
para o crescimento do setor. Teremos eleições e em anos
como esse sempre há uma movimentação interessante

In 2017, were there any clear signs that the Country
is coming out of the crisis?
This year, the economy showed some signs of recovery,
especially in some wood preservation such as the railway
and building construction segments.
According to information from the Building Construction
Sector, 2017 represented one of the worst performances
in recent decades, with a fall of nearly 7% compared to
the second quarter of 2016. But confidence in the recovery
of building construction is providing positive signs as to an
increase of investments in land by builders. This should result
in an increased demand for solid wood products from
larger diameter logs.
What would you do regarding the wood preservative
market: is there room to grow in the coming years, with
measures are needed to encourage the entire production
chain?
The forecast for investment in infrastructure in the
Country in 2018 provides an optimistic outlook for treated
wood: in the Rail Sector, the forecast calls for an investment
of around R$ 57.1 million as of next year, in projects
aimed at railway expansion, construction and maintenance.
There is an analysis that if this expansion represents the
use of electrified railways, structures would be built that
would allow the diversification of business and even take
electricity to remote communities. It should be pointed out
that, according to industry experts, rail transport, even diesel,
is less polluting than highway transport.
In addition, we can say that the use of quality treated
wood can increase cargo movement by railways, by providing
more safety and less disruption to rail traffic, increasing
the flow of loaded trains, mainly with agribusiness
products.
The housing programs, amongst them the "my house,
my life", as well as the resumption of growth in the Building
Construction Sector, also point to improved results being
achieved this year. Not to mention agribusiness, the main
market for our industry, according to forecasts, will remain
stable.
