Erhan Gökçe:
"We are experts in bed; we want
to be a world brand"
Dartistebedding has a goal this year is to become an exemplary brand in the world.
Dartistebedding, which has been
carrying out mattress production
activities in İzmir Torbalı facility with
the philosophy of "quality sleep and quality
life" since 1990, maintains its pioneering
identity in the sleep sector by exporting to
more than 30 countries in the international
arena. Emphasizing on their target to
have 20 stores in Turkey to promote quality
sleep experience across the country and to
increase value of their brand, Erhan Gokce,
Store and Corporate Sales Director, told
us about his company's production, sales
and growth strategies and projects for this
year.
By introducing Dartistebedding;
Could you give information about
production capacity, product
range and target markets of your
company?
In 1990, we had set our hearts on our
job from our 200 technical and 50
administrative staff masters to apprentices
with our years of experience and our
success story in many countries, in our
35 thousand square meter facility located
in Torbalı, İzmir. Now we have gained an
important place in the world markets.
Our priority target, “quality sleep and
quality life” philosophy, has been our motto
and criterion from past to present in order
to meet customer demands perfectly.
Dartistebedding, which has risen to the
top ranks in the sleep industry with our
exports to more than 30 countries with an
international vision, has become a reliable
and quality brand thanks to its naturally
produced mattresses. In our R&D activities,
we are in an ongoing research activity
with the aim of producing mattresses
suitable for different life styles and
different sleeping habits of our consumers.
We use all the knowledge, skills and
experience required for a healthy sleep
by combining the latest technology in the
world with our carefully handcrafted and
naturally produced mattresses, at above
world standards. In addition, besides the
mattress production unit, we offer a visual
feast in our stores with our bed bases in
different models and features, and our
headboards in different models and colors,
all beautifully are hand-made.
What are your bedding solutions
that you offer to hotels, resorts and
touristic businesses?
Hotels are the platform for all companies
in our industry where they can express
their products to their consumers in the
best way. This platform can give very
important tips about the brand to guests
accommodated.
As an example, our store sales staff said,
"I stayed at x hotel, I was very comfortable;
I want the same comfort and quality sleep
I can get at home." He says that they often
hear similar expressions. While these
comments make us happy, they also
provide important tips for our customers
about what should be offered themselves
as mattresses.
In hotels, tourist facilities and businesses,
the most important function between the
supplier and the guest is housekeeping.
Our main goal is to make their job easier.
You can think of it as a long-lasting, more
durable, but also a base where even a
female employee can lift and clean the
bottom with one hand, as a mattress with
a zipper against the stubborn guests who
request a double bed in a room with two
separate beds, soft bed pads etc. I can
say that our corporate solutions and R&D
studies for the hospitality industry with our
products are quite high.
In which regions are your domestic
and international sales outlets
located? What is your competitive
power in the channels you export
to?
We have 14 stores, 5 of which were opened
last year. For this year, we have plans for
6 additional stores in different cities and
locations in our country. Our target on
brand basis is to reach their number up to
20 stores in the country and providing our
customers with quality sleep experience
in these stores. In addition, representing
our country and our brand in the best way
in the world is among our primary goals.
As a matter of fact, it is a known fact that
the mattress industry is very important
in the world, but it also increases the fast
competition runs.

With which products did you
