Degree of Religious Consciousness of Forestry
Employees in Croatia
Summary
Within the framework of the longitudinal sociological investigation in forestry
the degree of religious consciousness of forestry employees was investigated.
It was established that forestres were less religious than other society
groyps in Croatia. More religious feeling was present in the materially better
situated and greater number of atheists and non-beliveres was found among more
educated individuals. It was also confirmed by using multi-variety analyses
and other statistical methods, that no firm connection exists between the degree
of religious feeling and the age of examinees: i.e. there is no statistically significant
difference in this field. Of interest are data showing that nearly a fifth
of League of Communist members have not entirely abandoned religion and celebration
of religious events.
