The table above illustrates that the legislation administrated by the eight Agencies<br />
contains a large amount of information obligations. Furthermore, the table shows<br />
that the quantity of information obligations that the respective Agencies are responsible<br />
for varies significantly, from a total of 9 for the Danish Competition Authority,<br />
to a total of 628 for the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.<br />
The development of the administrative costs shows an increase of app. 60<br />
million d.kr./ year<br />
The evaluation of the administrative costs consists of a baseline measurement<br />
(costs associated with legislation effective the 15 th of September 2004) and a reference<br />
point measurement (costs associated with legislation effective and/or<br />
adopted by the Danish Parliament before the 27 th of November 2001).<br />
The difference between the baseline and reference point measurement represents<br />
the net effect of the legislative initiatives taken by the current government since it<br />
came to office in November 2001.<br />
