As shown in the table above, the net effect of the changes in regulation represent
an increase of approx. 60 million d.kr./year, equivalent to approx. 1 percent of the
Ministry’s total administrative costs.
The majority of the net effect can be allocated to the Commerce and Companies
Agency. This legislative area has seen a reduction in the administrative costs
amounting to 233.2 million d.kr./year. This reduction is mainly due to a revision of
the Company Accounts Act that, among other things, included an alteration of the
classification of the companies subject to the diversified rules of accounting, inccluded
in the Act.
The increase related to the Financial Supervisory Authority is namely caused by the
transfer of the good practice legislation to the agency’s competence sphere. The
good practice legislation contains obligations for the companies, subject to the
rules, of written proceedings in customer relations and sales materiel, and documenation
of compliance with the regulation.
