DGC-report 8DKK per year or 0,19 DKK per m 3 of biogas produced. See Table 1. Forprices of upgrading please refer to Appendix 1.Table 1Number of equivalent full-load hours and upgrading cost relatedto biogas that cannot be used by CHP for production; expectedgas consumption and gas production are as shown in Figure 2.Eqv. full load hoursH 3.142Upgrading costs DKK/m 3 CH 4 1,52Upgrading costs Mio. DKK/year 17,0Upgrading costs DKK./m 3 biogas prod. 0,19The data given in Table 1 is based on the expected gas consumption and gasproduction as shown in Figure 2. This will of course change if these conditionsare different than expected. If the biogas production is lower than expected, less biogas needs to be upgraded. To some extent it will be possible to vary the biogas production duringthe year. This will also reduce the need for upgrading and, in turn, therelated costs. If the biogas production can be varied to make the surplus ofbiogas production constant, the specific upgrading costs would be 8,2 mio.DKK corresponding to 0,90 DKK/m 3 CH 4 .If the total heat demand in summer is reduced, for instance due to installationof large solar heating units, the picture would be the opposite. Thenmore biogas must be upgraded leading to higher upgrading cost. For furtherdetails, please refer to Appendix 1.
