DGC-report 14crease in maintenance costs related to fittings, compressors and otherequipment due to the higher sulphur content.For further information please refer to Appendix 3.5.1.4 MeasurementIn order to determine the amount of biogas produced with a sufficient accuracyit is necessary to choose a system that can handle the challenges relatedto biogas.Among the conditions that must be considered before choosing measurementsystem are:- Moisture content- Range of measurement- Risk of pulsations- Required accuracyThere are a number of different technologies available for measurement ofgaseous flows. Some of them are described in Appendix 3 together withtheir respective characteristics.Based on information from suppliers a measurement system for 100 m 3 /h ofbiogas can be acquired for around 170.000 DKK. This price is based on aturbine wheel meter and IR sensors determining the O 2 and CH 4 . If a higheraccuracy is required a gas chromatograph can be chosen instead of an IRsensor. The yearly maintenance costs are assessed to be around 20 % of theinvestment.For further details please refer to Appendix 3.
