Die 59. Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung Nutzfahrzeuge
findet auf dem Gelände der „Deutschen
Messe AG“ (DMAG) in Hannover in der Zeit vom
12. bis 19. September 2002 statt (Pressetage: 10. (Tag
der Pressekonferenzen) + 11. September); Veranstalter
ist der Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. (VDA).
Zuständig für die Ausstellungsorganisation und -technik
ist die Abteilung Ausstellungen im VDA.

die Aussteller vorzugsweise den schriftlichen Weg
wählen. Für Besuche ist eine vorherige Terminvereinbarung
erforderlich.
In der Auf- und Abbauzeit und während der Ausstellung
befindet sich das IAA-Ausstellungsbüro im Informations-Centrum
(IC).

The 59th International Automobile Exhibition Commercial
Vehicles will take place on the fairgrounds
of the ”Deutsche Messe AG“ (DMAG) in Hanover from
12 until 19 September 2002, (Press day: 10 (Day of
press conferences) + 11 September); Organizer is the
Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V. VDA, (Association
of the German Automotive Industry).
The VDA Exhibition office is in charge of the organization
and technical issues of the exhibition.

writing with regard to all communication. For all personal
visits, prior confirmation of the organizer is
required.
During the days of construction and dismantling as
well as during the exhibition the IAA exhibition office
will be located in the Information Center (IC).

2.2 Aufbauzeit
Die Aufbauzeit beginnt am Samstag, 31. August 2002,
(0.00 Uhr) und endet am Dienstag, 10. September
2002 (24.00 Uhr); alle Stände müssen bis zu diesem
Zeitpunkt fertiggestellt und eingerichtet sein. Verpackungsabfälle
u. ä. müssen entfernt sein.
Während der Aufbauzeit kann von 0.00 Uhr bis 24.00
Uhr gearbeitet werden.
Während der Aufbauzeit sind vor dem 11. September
2002 Veranstaltungen gleich welcher Art auf dem
Ausstellungsgelände einschließlich Restaurants, Tagungsräume
im Convention Center (CC) und auf den
Ständen grundsätzlich verboten. Das Ausstellungsgelände
darf während dieser Zeit nur für Zwecke des
Aufbaus befahren bzw. betreten werden.
2.3 Pressetage
Am letzten Aufbautag (10. September) können auf
besonderen Antrag des Ausstellers beim Veranstalter
Pressekonferenzen im Convention Center (CC)
durchgeführt werden.
Der 11. September 2002 ist der allgemeine Pressetag.
Das Ausstellungsgelände ist an diesem Tag für
Pressevertreter von 8.00 bis 19.00 Uhr zugänglich.
Die Aussteller sind verpflichtet, in dieser Zeit ihre
Stände besetzt zu halten, sie haben von 7.00–20.00
Uhr Zugang.
Als Ausweise gelten ausschließlich Pressekarten und
Ausstellerausweise.
2.4 Ausstellung
Vom 12. bis 19. September ist die Ausstellung täglich
von 9.00 bis 18.00 Uhr für Besucher geöffnet.
Die Aussteller sind verpflichtet, in diesen Zeiten ihre
Stände besetzt zu halten.
Aussteller haben an diesen Tagen Zugang zum Ausstellungsgelände
jeweils zwischen 7.00 und 19.00
Uhr. In der Zeit zwischen 19.00 und 7.00 Uhr ist den
Ausstellern und dem in ihrem Auftrag tätigen Personal
der Aufenthalt auf dem Ausstellungsgelände nicht
gestattet. In besonderen Fällen (z. B. für Instandsetzungsarbeiten)
kann der Veranstalter Ausnahmegenehmigungen
von diesem Verbot erteilen. Zuständig
ist das VDA-Ausstellungsbüro (s. 1.). (Bei Abendveranstaltungen:
siehe 2.5)
2.5 Abendveranstaltungen
Der Aussteller kann in besonderen Fällen nach 18.00
Uhr auf seinem Stand Abendveranstaltungen durch-
September 19, 2002 Thursday 7.00 p.m.

2.2 Construction period
The construction period begins on Saturday, August
31, 2002 (12.00 p.m.) and ends on Tuesday, September
10, 2002 (12.00 p.m.); up to this time all exhibition
stands must be finished and equipped. Packaging
waste has to be removed.
During construction period, work may be carried out
between 0.00 a.m. until 12.00 p.m.
During construction period before September 11,
2002, all events of any kind are prohibited within the
fairgrounds including restaurants, conference rooms
in the Convention Center (CC) and the exhibition
stands. The fairgrounds may be entered for construction
purposes only during this time.
2.3 Press days
On the last day of construction (September 10)
press conferences can be held at the Convention
Center (CC) only, upon application at VDA.
September 11, 2002 is the general press day. The
fairgrounds may be entered by journalists on this day
between 08.00 a.m. and 07.00 p.m. The exhibitors
undertake to keep their stands attended during this
time; access from 07.00 a.m. to 08.00 p.m.
Valid passes are exclusively press tickets and exhibitor
passes.
2.4 Exhibition
From September 12 to 19, the exhibition is open daily
from 09.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. for visitors.
The exhibitors undertake to keep their stands attended
during this time.
Exhibitors may enter the fairgrounds between 07.00
a.m. and 07.00 p.m. From 07.00 p.m. to 07.00 a.m.,
neither exhibitors nor their stand personnel are
allowed to be on the exhibition grounds. In special
cases, the organizer may make exceptions from this
regulation (e.g. repair work). The VDA Exhibition Office
is in charge and has to be contacted (see par. 1). (For
evening events see 2.5)
2.5 Evening events
In special cases, the exhibitor may be allowed to have
evening events on his stand after 18:00 h; the requi-

führen. Hierfür ist eine Genehmigung erforderlich, die
der Aussteller bei der DMAG (Abt. 212) beantragen
muss und die mit Auflagen verbunden ist. Für jede
angefangene Stunde nach 21.00 Uhr hat der Aussteller
eine Kostenpauschale von € 3,–/m 2 , jedoch max.
€ 1.000,– zzgl. MWSt. an die DMAG zu zahlen.
2.6 Abbauzeit
Die Abbauzeit beginnt am Donnerstag, 19. September
2002, 19.00 Uhr.
Während der Abbauzeit kann von 0.00 bis 24.00 Uhr
gearbeitet werden.
Die Abbauzeit endet am Dienstag, 24. September
2002, 24.00 Uhr.

4. Standzuteilung

Nach Ablauf der Anmeldefrist wird der Flächenbedarf
für die einzelnen Ausstellungsgruppen ermittelt und
mit der Detailplanung begonnen.
Die Zuteilung erfolgt durch den Veranstalter nach einheitlichen
Gesichtspunkten. Die Wünsche der Aussteller
werden dabei soweit wie möglich berücksichtigt.
Die Standzuteilung wird dem Aussteller durch die
Standbestätigung mitgeteilt (s. im Einzelnen auch Ziff.
(25)–(30) der Ausstellungsbedingungen).
Bei Bedarf besteht die Möglichkeit, Hallen- und Freigeländeflächen
vor Ort in Hannover zu besichtigen;

Die Standbestätigungen mit genauen Angaben über
die Lage und Abmessungen der Stände werden voraussichtlich
im April 2002 verschickt.

lump sum of € 3.–/sqm, but max € 1,000–. plus VAT
must be paid to DMAG by the exhibitor for each hour
started after 09.00 p.m.
2.6 Dismantling period
The dismantling period begins on Thursday September
19, 2002, at 07.00 p.m.
During dismantling period, work may be carried out
between 0.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m.
The dismantling period ends on Tuesday, September
24 2002, 12.00 p.m.

4. Stand allocation
After expiration of the closing date the area needed
for the individual exibition groups will be determined,
and detailed planning will beginn.
The exhibition stands will be allocated according to
uniform criteria. In this respect, your requests will be
considered as far as possible. The exhibitor will be
notified and receive a confirmation about the stand
allocation (for details see also items (25)–(30) of the
Exhibition Conditions).
If necessary, halls and the open air section may be
visited on site in Hannover; for meeting arrangements
please contact DMAG

The stand confirmations including detailed specifications
about stand location and dimensions are
expected to be mailed out in April 2002.

5. Mappe „Service-Angebot”
Nach Versand der Standbestätigung wird die DMAG
im Auftrag des Veranstalters die Mappe „Service-
Angebot“ versenden; sie enthält:
– Alle erforderlichen Informationen über das
Angebot der Dienstleistungen, die zur organisatorischen
Vorbereitung bzw. Durchführung der Ausstellungsbeteiligung
benötigt werden.
– Die Bestellvordrucke auf denen neben dem
Einsendeschluss auch vermerkt ist, ob deren
Rücksendung obligatorisch ist.
– einen Terminplan, der einen Gesamtüberblick
über den zeitlichen Ablauf der Vorbereitungen gibt
und die letzten Einsendetermine für die Bestellungen
umfasst.
Sämtliche Unterlagen sind zweisprachig (Deutsch,
Englisch) abgefasst.
Alternativ zum Serviceangebot in Papierform wird die
Bestellung dieser Leistungen im Internet angeboten
(www.iaa.de)
Für die bestellten und von der DMAG zu erbringenden
Serviceleistungen muss je Quadratmeter zugeteilter
Ausstellungsfläche eine Vorauszahlung geleistet
werden. Sie beträgt
€ 17,–/m2 in Hallen
€ 10,–/m2 im Freigelände
Bei dieser Vorauszahlung für Nebenleistungen handelt
es sich nicht um eine Pauschalabgeltung. Für die
bestellten Lieferungen und Leistungen wird vielmehr
nach Ausstellungsschluss entsprechend der tatsächlichen
Inanspruchnahme eine besondere Nebenkostenrechnung
erstellt. In dieser Schlussabrechnung
wird die Vorauszahlung verrechnet.
Die Aussteller werden gebeten, die nachstehenden
Kurzinformationen zu einzelnen ausgewählten
Bestellformularen in der Mappe „Service-Angebot“ zu
beachten:
5.1 IAA-Katalog
Der zweisprachig (Deutsch/Englisch) abgefasste offizielle
IAA-Katalog zur 59. IAA Nutzfahrzeuge wird vom
Veranstalter herausgegeben und in seinem Auftrag
durch einen Katalogverlag hergestellt. Er erscheint ca.
vier Wochen vor Beginn der Ausstellung und enthält:
– alphabetisches Ausstellerverzeichnis
– Gelände- und Hallenpläne
– Ausstellerverzeichnis nach Standorten
– Stichwortverzeichnis
– Aussteller nach Produkten
– Firmenzeichen-Register.
Die Aufnahme des Ausstellers in den Ausstellungskatalog
geschieht durch einen kostenpflichtigen
Grundeintrag. Die Preise sind dem Vordruck im „Service-Angebot“
zu entnehmen. Alle Unterlagen für die
Bestellung der Katalogeintragungen werden den Ausstellern
unaufgefordert direkt vom Katalogverlag
rechtzeitig zugeschickt.
Jeder Aussteller erhält einen Gutschein für ein Freiexemplar
des IAA-Kataloges; diese Gutscheine werden
den Ausstellern im August 2002 zugeleitet und

After the stand confirmation is mailed out, DMAG will
also mail the “Services Offered” portfolio on behalf of
the organizer, including:
– All necessary information about the services
offered, which you need for the organizational
preparation or realization, when participating in the
exhibition respectively.
– The order forms are marked with the final deadline
for submission, and next to this date there is
an indication, whether the return of the order forms
is obligatory.
– A timetable, giving a general overview about the
course of the preparatory measures, and including
the last mailing deadlines for your orders.
All material is bilingual (German, English).
In addition the forms are available in the online ordering
(www.iaa.de).
For supplementary services orderd by the exhibitor,
and to be rendered by DMAG, an advance payment
per square meter of exhibition area allocated must be
made. This advance payment is
€ 17.–/m2 in the halls
€ 10.–/m2 in the open-air site.
This advance payment for supplementary services
does not represent a lump sum payment. Moreover,
after the termination of the exhibition, a specific billing
statement will be compiled for the supplies and services
ordered in accordance with your actual utilization.
The advance payment is credited to this final bill.
The exhibitors are kindly asked to note the following
concise information about selected order forms in the
portfolio “Services Offered”:
5.1 IAA-Catalog
The bilingual (German/English) catalog of the 59th
IAA Commercial Vehicles will be issued by the organizer
and published on his behalf by a catalog
publishing company. Publication will approximately
be four weeks before the beginning of the exhibition
and will include:
– Alphabetic list of exhibitors
– Floorplans of halls and open-air sections
– Exhibitors listed by location
– Keyword index
– Exhibitors listed by products
– Trademark index.
Exhibitors will be registered in the exhibition catalog
upon receipt of a general registration fee. Prices can
be found in the ”Services Offered” forms manual. All
papers required for ordering catalog entries will be
mailed out automatically and in due time to the exhibitors.
Each exhibitor will receive a voucher for a free copy
of the IAA catalog; these vouchers will be distributed
to the exhibitors in August 2002, and they are re-

5.2 Elektronisches
Besucher-Informationssystem (EBi)
Das EBi dient als wettbewerbsneutrale Information für
Besucher und Aussteller während der Ausstellung.
Geschultes Personal informiert an zahlreichen EBi-
Standorten über das gesamte Angebot der 59. IAA
Nutzfahrzeuge in den Sprachen Deutsch und Englisch.
Die Informationen erfolgt optisch über den Bildschirm
und kann auf Wunsch auch schriftlich auf „EBi-
Ausdrucken“ ausgegeben werden. Nur Aussteller
können sich ins EBi eintragen lassen, die Katalogeintragung
wird automatisch auch ins EBi übernommen.
5.3 Werbemittel
Zur Unterstützung der Besucherwerbung des Ausstellers
bietet der Veranstalter verschiedene Werbemittel
an. Die Werbemittel und die Preise können
dem Formular in dem „Service-Angebot” entnommen
werden.
5.4 Pressekonferenzen
Um Überschneidungen mit Presseterminen anderer
Aussteller zu vermeiden, ist es notwendig, Termin und
Ort mit dem Veranstalter abzustimmen:

Am 10. September (eingeschränkter Pressetag) dürfen
Pressekonferenzen nur im Convention Center

Nach Terminabstimmung mit dem Veranstalter können
über die DMAG Räume im CC angemietet werden.

Der Veranstalter erstellt die Broschüre „IAA-Presseinformationen”,
in der u. a. alle von den Ausstellern
angemeldeten und mit dem Veranstalter abgestimmten
Termine der Pressekonferenzen zusammengefasst
sind.
5.5 Ansprechpartner für Journalisten
In der vom Veranstalter herausgegebenen Broschüre
„IAA-Presseinformationen” werden Firmenvertreter
genannt, die während der gesamten Dauer der Ausstellung
den Medien als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung
stehen. Dieser Eintrag, der über den Vordruck
„Ansprechpartner für Journalisten” abgefragt wird, ist
kostenlos.

5.2 Electronic Visitor
Information System (EBi)
The EBi system serves as a non-competitive information
system for visitors and exhibitors during the exhibition.
At numerous EBi-locations, trained personnel
will give information about the overall offer of the 59th
IAA Commercial Vehicles in German and English. The
information is given on an optical screen and, upon
request, can be given in writing also on “EBi print
outs”. Exhibitors may be registered in EBI, the catalog
listing is automatically transferred in the ESI registration.
5.3 Advertizing materials
To support the exhibitors promotional activities
towards visitors, the organizer will prepare advertizing
materials, the different products with price list can be
found in the “Services offered“ forms manual.
5.4 Press conferences
In order to avoid collisions with press meetings of
other exhibitors, it is necessary that exhibitors consult
with the organizer for date scheduling and location.

On September 10, press conferences are allowed
only in the facilities of the Convention Center (CC).
After date scheduling with the organizer the exhibitors
may rent rooms through DMAG. The appropriate
order form is included in the portfolio “Services
Offered” (see 5.7).
The organizer will publish the multilingual brochure
called ”IAA Press Information”, which summarizes all
dates of press conferences that have been applied
for and agreed upon by the organizer.
5.5 Contact partners for journalists
The brochure ”IAA Press Information” published by
the organizer includes a list of company representatives,
who are available during the entire duration of
the exhibition as contact partners for the media. This
list, for which inquiries can be made by using the form
”Contact partners for journalists” is free of charge.

5.6 Pressefächer
Zur Auslage von firmeneigenen Presseinformationen

5.10 Ausstellerausweise
Dem Aussteller und seinem während der Ausstellung
beschäftigten Personal stehen kostenlose Ausstellerausweise
zur Verfügung. Sie gelten für die Dauer der
59. IAA Nutzfahrzeuge jeweils von 7.00–19.00 Uhr einschl.
Pressetage.
Zur Berechnung der Anzahl der kostenlosen Ausstellerausweise
gilt folgende Basisformel:
– Standfläche bis 20 m2 4 Ausstellerausweise
– für jede weiteren angefangenen
10 m2 1 Ausstellerausweis.
Stände im Freigelände werden mit dem Faktor 0,5 in
die Berechnung einbezogen.
Hat ein Aussteller mehrere Stände belegt, so ergibt
sich die Standfläche aus der Summe der Einzelflächen.
Ist eine Halle allein durch einen Aussteller belegt, so
ergibt sich die Standfläche aus der mit 0,7 multiplizierten
Brutto-Hallenfläche.
Bei Gemeinschaftsständen gilt – sofern ein Flächenaufteilungsplan
vorliegt – die jeweilige Teilfläche als
Standfläche.
Mitaussteller gemäß Ziffer (12) der Ausstellungsbedingungen
haben gegenüber dem Veranstalter
keinen Anspruch auf kostenlose Ausstellerausweise.
Die nach diesen Regeln den Ausstellern zustehenden
kostenlosen Ausstellerausweise werden nach
vollständiger Zahlung der Standmietenrechnung
unaufgefordert übersandt.
Darüber hinaus können weitere Ausstellerausweise
mit dem Formular in der Mappe „Service-Angebot”
zum Preis von € 60,– pro Stück bestellt werden.
5.11 Gästeausweise und Dauerausweise
Zur Abgabe an Geschäftsfreunde und Kunden stehen
Tagesgastkarten zur Verfügung, die zum einmaligen
Betreten des Ausstellungsgeländes berechtigen.
Die benutzten Karten werden den Ausstellern zum
jeweiligen Tagespreis (siehe 3.) in Rechnung gestellt.
Zur Bestellung der Gästeausweise dient der entsprechende
Vordruck in der Mappe „Service-Angebot“.
Am IAA-Wochenende (14./15. September 2002) findet
zusätzlich zum Ausstellungsgeschehen wieder
ein Trucker & Country-Festival innerhalb des Ausstellungsgeländes
statt. Es ist keine gesonderte Eintrittskarte
erforderlich.
Zur 59. IAA Nutzfahrzeuge können an Geschäftsfreunde
und Kunden auch Dauerkarten verteilt werden.
Ihre Bestellung erfolgt über den Vordruck „Dauerkarten“.
Der Preis pro Stück beträgt € 60,–.
5.12 Ausstellerparkplätze

Rund um das Messegelände stehen für die Dauer der
Veranstaltung bewachte Parkplätze für Pkw, Lkw sowie
Wohnwagen/Wohnmobile zur Verfügung. Sofern
Fahrzeugstellplätze benötigt werden, besteht die
Möglichkeit, Parkplätze mit dem entsprechenden
Bestellformular in der Mappe „Service-Angebot“ zu
bestellen. Für die Bewirtschaftung der Parkplätze ist
5.10 Exhibitor passes
Exhibitor passes are available at no cost to the exhibitor
and staff employed by the exhibitor during the
exhibition. They are valid for the duration of the 59th
IAA Commercial Vehicles from 7:00 h–19:00 h each
day including press days.
For calculating the number of free passes, the
following basis calculation formula applies:
– Stand area up to 20 m2 4 exhibitor passes
– for every additional fraction
of 10 m2 1 exhibitor pass
Exhibition stands in the open-air section are included
in the calculation at a factor of 0.5
If one exhibitor occupies several stands, the resulting
stand area is the total of the individual areas.
If an exhibitor rents one entire hall, the stand area is
calculated as 70 % of the gross hall area.
In case of joint exhibition stands, the respective partial
stand area is applicable, as far as a subdivision
floorplan has been established.
Subexhibitors according to item (12) of the exhibition
conditions are not entitled to their own quota of free
exhibitor passes from the organizer.
After the bills for the stand rent have been
completely paid, the cost-free exhibitor passes
due to a. m. regulations will be mailed out to the exhibitor
automatically.
In addition, those exhibitor passes which will have to
be purchased can be ordered by using the corresponding
form from the portfolio ”Services Offered”.
The exhibitor’s price for these passes is € 60.– each.
5.11 Guest tickets and season tickets
Guest tickets for distribution among business friends
and customers are available for one-time access to
the fairgrounds.
Only used day tickets will be billed to the exhibitor at
the actual day price (see 3.). For ordering guest tickets
the relevant order form in the portfolio “Services offered“
may be used.
In addition to the exhibition, a Trucker & Country Festival
will again be held on the weekend of the IAA (September
14/15 2002) on the IAA fairground. No separate
ticket is necessary.
For the 59th IAA Commercial vehicles, season
tickets may also be distributed to business friends
and to customers. They can be ordered by using the
order form “Season Tickets“. They will be billed at
€ 60.– each.
5.12 Exhibitor parking space
Guarded car parks are available for cars, commercial
vehicles and camping cars/caravans around the exhibition
grounds for the duration of the event. If you
require vehicle parking spaces, you can order them
using the corresponding order form. The organizers
have put “Gesellschaft für Verkehrsförderung mbH

im Auftrag des Veranstalters die Gesellschaft für Verkehrsförderung
mbH, (GfV), Messegelände, Hannover,
zuständig.
Die Messeparkplätze sowie die Parkhäuser sind technisch
neu ausgestattet. Dadurch ergeben sich geänderte
Abläufe in der Parkplatzbewirtschaftung. Zum
Verlassen des Parkplatzes wird ein Ausfahrticket
benötigt, mit dem die Ausfahrschranke zu öffnen ist.
Mit dem Aussteller-Dauerparkschein erhält man ein
Ausfahrticket, das zum wiederholten Öffnen der Ausfahrschranke
berechtigt, bis ca. 14 Tage vor Veranstaltungsbeginn
zugeschickt. Danach können Dauerparkscheine
gegen entsprechende Legitimation
direkt bei der GfV abgeholt werden.
Parkscheine, die nicht genutzt werden, können nur bis
zum 10. September 2002 (letzter Aufbautag) bei der
GfV zur Verrechnung zurückgegeben werden.

5.13 Bewachung
Die allgemeine Bewachung der Ausstellungshallen
wird im Auftrag des Veranstalters von der DMAG
durchgeführt. Sie beginnt am 31. August und endet
am 24. September 2002. Diese allgemeine Bewachung
kann jedoch den Schutz des Eigentums eines
jeden Ausstellers nicht sicherstellen. Firmen, die ihre
Stände nachts bewachen lassen möchten, können
sich unter Verwendung des Formulars 5.80 (Standbewachung)
an die Vertragsfirmen der Deutsche
Messe AG wenden.
5.14 Reinigung
Für die Grundreinigung der Hallen und des Freigeländes
(Außenflächen) sowie der Gänge sorgt die
DMAG im Auftrag des Veranstalters. Die Reinigung
der Ausstellungsstände obliegt dem Aussteller. Sie
muss täglich vor Veranstaltungsbeginn beendet sein.
Lässt der Aussteller nicht durch firmeneigenes Personal
reinigen, müssen der DMAG zugelassene
Reinigungsfirmen mit der Durchführung der Arbeiten
beauftragt werden.
Für die Bestellung steht hierzu im „Service-Angebot“
ein Formularsatz „Standreinigung“ zur Verfügung, der
an die zuständige Reinigungsfirma weitergeleitet
wird.
5.15 Abfallentsorgung
Für die Entsorgung von Abfällen gilt Abschnitt 6. der
Technischen Richtlinien. Das zugehörige Erklärungsund
Bestellformular ist in der Mappe „Service-Angebot“
enthalten.
5.16 Speditionen
Für den Transport der Messegüter zum Messegelände
und zurück kann eine Spedition in freier Wahl
bestimmt werden.
Der Einsatz von Kranen, kraftbetriebenen Gabelstaplern
mit Fahrerplatz u. ä. Flurförderzeugen zum Beund
Entladen sowie zum Auf- und Abbau ist auf dem
(GfV), Messegelände, Hannover“ in charge of controlling
and administering the parking spaces.
The exhibition parking spaces and multi-storey car
parks are equipped with modern technical facilities.
Consequently, the parking control procedures are different.
In order to leave your parking space, you will
need an exit ticket with which you can then open the
exit barrier. With the Exhibitor long-term parking ticket,
you will receive an exit ticket that entitles you to open
the exit barrier repeatedly. This ticket will be sent to
you by approx. 14 days before the start of the event.
Thereafter, you can obtain long-term parking tickets
directly from GfV on presentation of your credentials
as legitimate exhibitor.
Unused parking tickets can only be returned to GfV
for refund up to September 10, 2002 (last date of stand
erection).

5.13 Security
The general guarding of the exhibition halls shall be
carried out by DMAG (Deutsche Messe AG) on behalf
of the organizer. Guard duties shall start on August 31
and end on September 24, 2002. However, this general
guarding cannot guarantee to protect the property
of each individual exhibitor. Companies that
wish to have their stands guarded at night can apply
to the subcontracors of DMAG using form 5.80 (Stand
Guarding).
5.14 Cleaning
On behalf of the organizer, DMAG will make arrangements
for the basic cleaning of the halls and the open
fairgrounds (outside area) including walkways both
inside and outside. Stand cleaning is the responsibility
of the exhibitor. It must be carried out daily and
must be completed before the fair opens to visitors. If
cleaning is not carried out by the exhibitor’s own personell,
only firms approved by DMAG may be engaged.
To order this work, the “Stand Cleaning” order form in
the portfolio “Services Offered” should be completed
and returned to us for forwarding to the authorized
cleaning contractor.
5.15 Waste disposal
Par. 6. of the Technical Regulations governs all waste
disposal procedures. The relevant explanatory and
order form can be found in the portfolio “Services
Offered”.
5.16 Forwarding services
The exhibitor is free to choose any forwarding Service
for the transport of his exhibits to and from the fairgrounds.
For administrative and safety reasons, the use of
cranes, power-operated forklift trucks with a driver’s
seat and similar industrial trucks for loading, unload-

Diese Speditionen sind verpflichtet, alle notwendigen
Geräte und Arbeitskräfte, die für die ordnungsgemäße
Verbringung der Ausstellungsgüter zu den Ständen
notwendig sind, auf Anforderung bereitzustellen.
5.17 Leergut
Leergut darf nicht in den Ausstellungshallen und im
Freigelände gelagert werden; es kann den zugelassenen
Messespeditionen zur Einlagerung während
der Veranstaltungszeit übergeben werden. Der Abund
Antransport (Messestand – Lagerhalle – Messestand)
wird nach Messe-Speditionstarif abgerechnet.
5.18 Versicherung
Die Versicherung der Ausstellungsgüter einschließlich
der Gefahren des Hin- und Rücktransports muss
gesondert beantragt werden. Der Veranstalter hat zu
diesem Zweck mit dem Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen
Industrie V.a.G. in Frankfurt am Main einen Rahmenvertarg
geschlossen, innerhalb dessen Versicherungsmeldungen
in vereinfachter Form erfolgen können.
Für die Erteilung solcher Versicherungsaufträge
dient das entsprechende Formular in der Mappe
„Service-Angebot“.
6. Weitere Hinweise
6.1 Ausstellerbusse und Werksbusse
Für Busse, die von Ausstellern für Mitarbeiter oder
besondere Gäste zum Besuch der IAA eingesetzt werden,
steht ausreichend Parkfläche rund um das Messegelände
zur Verfügung.

These forwarding agents undertake to provide on
demand all the equipment and labour required for the
efficient transport of exhibits to the stands.
5.17 Empties
Empties must not be stored in the exhibition halls and
on the open-air site; emties may be given to the authorized
exhibition forwarders for storage during the
exhibition. Delivery to and from the stands (exhibition
stand – storage – exhibition stand) will be billed
according to the exhibition forwarding tariff.
5.18 Insurance
The insurance of the exhibition goods including the
risk of transportation must be applied for separately.
For this purpose, the organizer has entered into a
general insurance contract with the “Haftpflichtverband
der Deutschen Industrie V.a.G.”, in order to
process applications for insurance in a more simplified
way. The exhibitors are asked to use the prepared
order form in the portfolio “Services Offered” for such
insurance contracts.
6. Further instructions
6.1 Exhibitors and company buses
For buses, which are used by the exhibitors to transport
their employees or special guests to the IAA, sufficient
space for parking is available around the fairgrounds.

6.2 Containerstellplätze
Südlich von Halle 11 ist ein Containerabstellplatz für
Aussteller ausgewiesen. Den Bedarf an Containerstellplätzen
kann der Aussteller formlos bei der DMAG
anmelden.

6.3 Interimskarten
Personen, die zur Erledigung eines Auftrages das
Ausstellungsgelände während der Ausstellung betreten
müssen, ohne eine gültige Eintrittskarte zu
besitzen, können gegen Hinterlegung des jeweils gültigen
Eintrittspreises eine Karte für kurzfristiges Betreten
des Geländes (Interimskarte) erhalten.
Das hinterlegte Eintrittsgeld wird nur zurückerstattet,
wenn der Inhaber der Interimskarte innerhalb von 60
Min. nach Einlass das Ausstellungsgelände wieder
verlässt.
Interimskarten werden auch für Begleiter von Versorgungsfahrzeugen
an den Einlasstoren für Versorgungsfahrzeuge
ausgegeben.
6.4 Sanitätsdienst
Während der Auf- und Abbauzeit, der Pressetage
sowie während der Ausstellung ist eine Sanitätswache
eingerichtet:

6.5 Zollabfertigung
Für ausländische Aussteller, deutsche Im- und Exporteure
sowie Vertriebsorganisationen gelten die einschlägigen
Zollbestimmungen.
Auskünfte hierzu erteilen alle Zollämter sowie die
Industrie- und Handelskammern.

6.2 Container parking space
There is a designated container parking space for
exhibitors on the south of hall 11. Exhibitors may
request the number of container parking spaces
required from DMAG; no specific form is required.

6.3 Interim passes
Individuals not in possession of a valid pass, but who
need to enter the fairgrounds to complete an order,
may receive a pass for a short-term visit (interim pass)
upon deposit of the applicable entry fee.
The deposit will be refunded if the owner of the interim
pass leaves the fairgrounds within 60 min.
Interim passes will also be issued at the entrance
gates to individuals accompanying logistic support
vehicles.
6.4 First aid service
During the construction and dismantling periods as
well as during the press days and the exhibition, first
aid services will be established.

The actual customs regulations apply to foreign exhibitors,
German importers and exporters as well as to
sales organizations.
Information can be obtained from all customs offices
as well as from the chambers of commerce.

6.6 Einkaufsmöglichkeiten
und weitere Dienstleistungen
In den Ladenstraßen der Hallen 11, 16 und 17 bieten
namhafte Einzelhandelsgeschäfte aus Hannover alle
Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs an.
Darüber hinaus befinden sich auf dem Ausstellungsgelände
verschiedene Serviceleistungen, wie Banken,
Postamt, Autovermietung, Copyshop, Apotheke,
Reisebüro, Zimmervermittlung und vieles mehr.
7. Neuheiten-Übersicht
Zur Information der in- und ausländischen Vertreter
von Presse, Funk und Fernsehen über besonders
interessante Ausstellungsobjekte erstellt der Veranstalter
eine Neuheiten-Übersicht. Die Aussteller werden
hierzu vom Veranstalter im Juni 2002 gesondert
angeschrieben.
8. Rahmenveranstaltungen

Die Eröffnungsveranstaltung für die 59. IAA Nutzfahrzeuge
findet am Donnerstag, dem 12. September
2002, 10.00 Uhr im Ausstellungsgelände statt.
Am Mittwoch, dem 18. September 2002, wird für Aussteller
sowie Gäste aus Politik und Wirtschaft ein
„Abend der Nutzfahrzeugindustrie“ durchgeführt.
Zu beiden Veranstaltungen erfolgen gesonderte
Einladungen durch den Veranstalter.
An den Ausstellungstagen werden zudem für Fachbesucher
und Publikum Diskussionsforen und
Fachveranstaltungen rund um das Nutzfahrzeug
angeboten. Diese Veranstaltungen werden im Convention
Center (CC) stattfinden.
Im Westteil des IAA-Geländes wird sich das Testund
Vorführstreckengelände befinden.
Das Trucker & Country-Festival wird am Wochenende
(14./15. September) innerhalb des IAA-Geländes
stattfinden.

during official opening hours.
6.6 Shopping facilities and other services
In the shopping complexes at hall 11, 16 and 17 wellknown
retail shops from Hanover are offering all
normally required provisions.
Furthermore, there are various services at the exhibition
complex like banks, post office, car rental companies,
copyshop, pharmacy, travel agency as well as
accomodation agency.
7. Novelties overview
The organizer compiles an overview of novelties, in
order to give to national and international representatives
from press, radio and TV stations a summary
report on specifically interesting novelties and further
developments from the exhibitors. Exhibiting companies
will receive a special letter from the organizer regarding
this subject (presumably June 2002).
8. General program
The opening ceremony of the 59th IAA Commercial
Vehicles will take place at the fairgrounds on
Thursday, September 12, 2002, 10.00 a.m.
On Wednesday evening, September 18, 2002, a
„Commercial Vehicle Industry Evening“ is held
for exhibitors as well as for guests from politics and
economy. Separate invitations will be mailed for both
events by the organizer.
In addition, discussion panels and special meetings
around the commercial vehicle are offered to
specialist visitors and to the public on the exhibition
days. These events will be held at the Convention
Center (CC).
The area with the test tracks and demonstration
course is in the West section of the IAA fairgrounds.
The Trucker & Country Festival will be held on the
weekend (September 14 and 15) within the fairground.

B. Technische Richtlinien
1. Vorbemerkungen
Der Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) hat
zusammen mit der Deutschen Messe AG diese
Richtlinien erstellt, um allen Ausstellern optimale
Gelegenheit zu geben, ihre Exponate darzustellen
und ihre Besucher und Interessenten anzusprechen.
Weitere Forderungen zur Sicherheit und zum Standbau,
die sich darüber hinaus durch den Veranstalter
ergeben sollten, bleiben vorbehalten.
Die Inbetriebnahme eines Ausstellungsstandes
kann im Interesse aller Veranstaltungsteilnehmer
untersagt werden, wenn vorgefundene Mängel bis
zum Beginn der Veranstaltung nicht beseitigt worden
sind.
Die dem Serviceangebot beigefügten Bestellformulare
für Dienstleistungen sind bei Bedarf auszufüllen
und termingerecht zurückzusenden, da bei verspäteter
Einsendung keine Gewähr für eine ordnungsund
fristgerechte Erledigung übernommen werden
kann. Außerdem wird für verspätet eingereichte Aufträge
bzw. Ausführungszeichnungen teilweise ein
Zuschlag auf die Entgelte erhoben.
1.1 Hausordnung
Die Hausordnung befindet sich im Anhang.
2. Verkehr im Messegelände,
Rettungswege, Sicherheitseinrichtungen
2.1 Verkehrsordnung
Um einen reibungslosen Verkehrsablauf während
der Auf- und Abbauzeit und der Veranstaltungsdauer
gewährleisten zu können, sind verkehrsordnende
und verkehrslenkende Regeln im Messegelände
unbedingt zu beachten.
Widerrechtlich abgestellte Fahrzeuge, Auflieger,
Container und Hindernisse jeder Art können auf
Kosten und Gefahr des Besitzers entfernt werden.
2.2 Rettungswege
Die Anfahrtswege zu den Hallen und die Bewegungsflächen
für die Feuerwehr müssen ständig
freigehalten werden.
Fahrzeuge und Gegenstände, die auf den Rettungswegen
und den Sicherheitsflächen abgestellt
sind, können kostenpflichtig entfernt werden.
Die Rettungswege sind jederzeit freizuhalten. Die
Türen im Zuge von Rettungswegen müssen von
innen leicht und in voller Breite geöffnet werden können.
Die Ausgangstüren und Notausgänge und
deren Hinweiszeichen dürfen nicht verbaut oder
unkenntlich gemacht werden. Die Gänge in den Hallen
dürfen nicht durch abgestellte oder in den Gang
hineinragende Gegenstände eingeengt werden. Sie
dienen im Notfall als Rettungswege.
B. Technical Regulations
1. About these regulations
The German Association of the Automotive Industry
(VDA) and the Deutsche Messe AG have prepared
these regulations, so as to provide all exhibitors with
the best possible means of presenting their products
and services and communicating with the public.
The organizer reserves the right to impose additional
requirements concerning safety and stand construction
should it deem such additional requirements
necessary. An exhibition stand may be prohibited
from being used at the event in the interests of
all participants should it become obvious that any
known deficiencies in the stand have not been
obviated by the beginning of the event.
The order forms for services in the Services file must
be filled out and returned by the return by date indicated
on the form. If forms are submitted late, it cannot
beguaranted that services will be carried out properly
and on time. Orders or construction drawings
submitted after the deadline might be subject to a
surcharge over and above the normal charge.

The General Regulations governing the exhibition
grounds are enclosed in the appendix.
2. Traffic regulations, rescue
routes and safety installations
2.1 Traffic regulations
To ensure that traffic slows smoothly during the construction
and dismantling periods as well as during
the event itself it is essential that the traffic regulations
as well as traffic signs etc. on the exhibition
grounds are observed.
Any vehicle, trailer, container or obstacle of any kind
that is parked illegally can be removed at the expense
and risk of the owner.
2.2 Rescue routes
The approach routes to the halls and the access
ways for the fire services must be kept clear at all
times. Vehicles or any other objects that are parked
or left on rescue routes or areas reserved for safety
services can be removed at the expense of the
owner.
Rescue routes must be kept clear at all times. It must
be possible to open easily to their full width from the
inside any doors along the rescue routes. The exit
doors and emergency exits as well as the exit signs
must not be covered or obscured. Objects must not
be deposited or allowed to protrude into the aisles.
In cases of emergency the aisles serve as rescue
routes.

2.3 Sicherheitseinrichtungen
Feuerschutztechnische Einrichtungen und andere
Sicherheitseinrichtungen sowie deren Hinweiszeichen
müssen jederzeit zugänglich und sichtbar sein,
sie dürfen nicht durch Standbauten oder Exponate
verdeckt werden. Versorgungsschächte und -kanäle
müssen zugänglich sein.

3.2 Ausstattung der Hallen
und des Freigeländes
3.2.1 Allgemeinbeleuchtung, Stromart,
Spannung in den Hallen
Die Allgemeinbeleuchtung in den Hallen hat eine
mittlere Beleuchtungsstärke von 300 lux, gemessen
0,8 m über dem Hallenfußboden.
Für die Versorgung Ihres Standes steht messeseitig
ein TN-S-Netz 3 x 400/230 V (+ 6 %/– 10 %), 50 Hz
zur Verfügung. Für andere Spannungen und Frequenzen
sind Umformer vom Aussteller bereitzustellen.
Eine „unterbrechnungsfreie“ Stromversorgung
steht nicht zur Verfügung.
3.2.2 Elektro-, Wasser und Druckluftversorgung
in den Hallen
Die Elektro- Wasser- und Druckluftversorgung der
Stände erfolgt in der Regel aus den Versorgungskanälen
im Hallenboden bzw. über dem Hallenboden
entlang der rückseitigen Standgrenzen.
Elektroanschlüsse sind in allen Hallen möglich, dort
stehen 300 W/m2 zur Verfügung.
Wasseranschlüsse sind in allen Hallen möglich. Der
Betriebsdruck beträgt in der Regel 2,5 bis 3,0 bar.
Druckluftanschlüsse sind mit Ausnahme der Pavillons
P32 – P35 möglich. Der Betriebsdruck beträgt
in der Regel 8,0 bis 10,0 bar. Bei einem Druckluftkleinanschluss
(< 1 /2“) ist mit Leistungsschwankungen
zu rechnen. (Lieferant siehe Punkt 7.5)
3.2.3 Kommunikationseinrichtungen
in den Hallen
Telefon-, Daten- und Gemeinschaftsantennenanschlüsse
sind in allen Hallen möglich.
3.2.4 Freigelände
Die Standflächen sind asphaltiert oder gepflastert.
Von einem waagerechten oder planebenen Zustand
kann nicht ausgegangen werden. Die Bodenbelastbarkeit
der Flächen beträgt ca. 200 kN/m2 und ist
damit nicht für alle Exponate ausreichend.
3.2.5 Elektro-, Wasser- und Druckluftversorgung
im Freigelände
Für die Elektroversorgung Ihres Standes steht messeseitig
ein TN-S-Netz 3 x 400/230 V (+ 6 %/
–10 %), 50 Hz zur Verfügung. Für andere Spannungen
und Frequenzen sind Umformer vom Aussteller
bereitzustellen. Eine „unterbrechnungsfreie“ Stromversorgung
steht nicht zur Verfügung.
Die Elektro- und Wasserversorgung der Stände
erfolgt in der Regel aus den Schächten und Versorgungskanälen
bzw. über dem Boden entlang der

3.2 Characteristics of the halls and the

halls at a capacity of 300 W/m2 . Water connections
are available in all the halls, as a rule at a pressure
of between 2.5 and 3.0 bar.
Compressed air connections are available except
for pavillon P32 to P35.
The operating pressure is 8.0 to 10.0 bar. Use of
small diameter connections (less than 1/2’’) may
result in uneven performance. (for suppliers refer to
section 7.5)
3.2.3 Telecommunication in the halls
Telephone, data and multi-party antenna connections
can be installed in all halls.
3.2.4 Technical specification on open-air site
Stand areas are paved or asphalt. The surfaces are
not necessarily completely horizontal or even. The
maximum ground load on the site is approximately
200 kN/m2 , which means it cannot support all exhibits.
3.2.5 Electrical, water and compressed air
supply on the open-air site
Stands are supplied with electrical current via a
TN-S network 3 x 400 V/230 V (+ 6 % / – 10 %) at 50
Hz. If different voltages or frequencies are required,
the exhibitor must provide a suitable transformer.
There is no uninterruptible power supply.
Electrical and water supply lines are generally located
in undergound supply channels or above
ground alongh the rear boundaries of stands.
Electrical connections are available on the open-air
site at a capacity of 100 W/m 2 .

Eine Wasserver- und -entsorgung steht im Freigelände

4. Standbaubestimmungen
4.1 Standsicherheit
Für die Standsicherheit aller Bauten und Exponate
ist der Aussteller verantwortlich und gegebenenfalls
nachweispflichtig. Es gilt das niedersächsische Baurecht.
4.2 Standgestaltung
4.2.1 Gestaltungsrichtlinien in den Hallen
Grundsätzlich ist darauf zu achten, dass die Hallentransparenz
durch Standaufbauten und Ausstellungsobjekte
nicht gestört, sowie der Standnachbar
nicht beeinträchtigt wird.
4.2.1.1 Bei eingeschossiger Bauweise (maximale Bauhöhe
gemäß 4.2.1.9 Bauhöhen) dürfen Standaufbauten
in einer Tiefe von 1,00 m, gemessen von der
vorderen Standgrenze bei Wandständen und von
den Gängen bei Mittelständen nicht höher sein als
90 cm.
4.2.1.2 Zweigeschossige Bauweise ist erst ab einer
Standgröße von 300 m2 zulässig.
Der Grenzabstand für zweigeschossige Bauten
beträgt 3,00 m. Die Gebäudelänge darf die Transparenz
der Halle nicht beeinträchtigen.
4.2.1.3 Fußböden
Fußbodenkonstruktionen dürfen nicht höher sein als
10 cm, gemessen vom Hallenboden. Die nach
außen gerichteten Kanten sind so abzuschrägen,
dass eine Stolpergefahr vermieden wird.
4.2.1.4 Abgrenzung von Ständen
Die Stände dürfen nicht durch Zäune, Kordeln, Blumenkästen
oder andere Einrichtungen eingezäunt
werden. Die Besucher müssen von allen Gängen
ungehindert Zutritt zu den Ständen haben. Bei Ständen
mit einer Fläche von nicht mehr als 300 m2 kann
der Veranstalter auf Antrag Ausnahmen zulassen;
der Aussteller muss den Antrag mit dem Standentwurf
einreichen und begründen.
4.2.1.5 Hallenstützen
An den Hallenstützen dürfen keine Standaufbauten
oder andere Teile befestigt werden. Soweit Hallen-

3.2.6 Telecommunications installations
on the open-air site
Telephone, data and multi-party antenna connections
can be installed.
4. Stand construction regulations
4.1 Stand safety
The exhibitor is responsible for the safety of his stand
structures and exhibits and if necessary must provide
proof of such. Building law for Lower Saxony
applies.
4.2 Stand Layout
4.2.1 Design regulations in the halls
As a basic principle, we would like you to to pay
attention for not disturbing the transperancy in the
hall or to impair the stand neighbour with stand construction
or exhibited objects.
4.2.1.1 For one-storey constructions (max. building
heigth according to 4.2.1.9 Bauhöhen) stand structures
up to a depth of 1.00 m, measured from the
front stand borderline of wall-mounted stands and
measured from the hallways of center-type stands
must not be higher than 90 cm.
4.2.1.2 Two storey buildings are allowed beginning from
a standsize larger than 300 m2 .
The borderline distance for two storey buildings is
3.00 m. The length of the building may not compromize
the transparency of the hall.
4.2.1.3 Floors
Floors must not be higher than 10 cm above the hall
floor. The outside edges must be slanted to avoid
any stumbling hazards.
4.2.1.4 Stand boundaries
The stand must not be enclosed by fences, roping,
flower boxes or by other such means. The visitors
must have unrestricted access to the stand from all
hallways. On request, the organizer may allow
exceptions in the case of stand area not greater than
300 m2; the exhibitor must submit and justify the
request with the stand plan.
4.2.1.5 Hall support columns
Stand fixtures or other objects must not be attached
to the hall columns. The stand owner may cover hall

werden. Versorgungseinrichtungen müssen
zugänglich bleiben. In einer Höhe von mehr als

in jeder Richtung höchstens 20 cm über die
Kontur der Hallenstütze hinausragen.
4.2.1.6 Standbegrenzungswände
Standbegrenzungswände sind messeseitig nicht
vorhanden. Trenn- und Kabinenwände können bei
der Deutschen Messe AG über die Servicemappe
bestellt werden.
4.2.1.7 Werbeaufbauten
(Aufbauten über 3,50 – 6,50 m Höhe)
Werbeaufbauten sind nur in den unter Abschnitt
4.2.3.1 gekennzeichneten Hallen zulässig.
Werbeaufbauten bis zu einer Höhe von 6,50 m ab
Oberkante Hallenboden sind bei Einhaltung folgender
Punkte zulässig:
– Die Standfläche muss größer als 300 m2 sein.
– Grundfläche der Aufbauten darf 10 % der Standfläche
nicht überschreiten.
– Abstand zu allen Standgrenzen mind. 3,00 m.
– Beachtung der maximalen Nutzhöhe über der
gemieteten Standfläche.
– Drehbare Aufbauten maximal 2 Umdrehungen/
Minute.
– Auf Fahrzeugständen, deren Exponate höher als
3,50 m sind.
4.2.1.8 Schriften und Zeichen
Oberhalb der in Abschnitt 4.2.1.9 festgelegten Höhe
dürfen nur Markennamen und Firmenzeichen des
Herstellers der ausgestellten Kraftfahrzeuge sowie
die zur Abstützung und Befestigung notwendigen
Bauelemente angeracht werden. Die Gesamtzahl A
der Markennamen und Firmenzeichen darf den aus
der nachstehenden Gleichung errechneten Wert
nicht überschreiten:

4.2.1.6 Stand partitions
Partitions at stand boundaries are not provided. Simple
separating partitions and cubicle partitions can
be ordered from the manual “Services offered”.
4.2.1.7 Advertising fixtures (structures
exceeding a height of 3.50 – 6.50 m)
Advertising fixtures are permissible only in the hall
indicated in par. 4.2.3.1.
Advertising fixtures of a maximum height of 6.50 m
above the floor surface are permissible that the following
requirements are met:
– The stand area must exceed 300 m2 .
– The floor area covered by the fixtures must not
exceed 10 % of the total stand area.
– Minimum distance from all stand boundaries:
3.00 m.
– Conformity with max. usable height above the
rented stand surface.
– Revolving fixtures must not revolve at more than
2 rpm.
– On vehicle stands which have exhibits higher than
3.50 m.
4.2.1.8 Lettering and signs
Only brand names and company logos of the manufacturer
of the exhibited motor vehicles as well as
the supports and mountings may be attached at a
height exceeding the height specified in par. 4.2.1.9.
The total quantity A of brand names and company
signs must not exceed the value calculated below,
using the following equation:

The top edge of the brand names or the panels bearing
the brand names must not be more than 6.50 m
above the hall floor. The characters or the panels
must not be greater than 80 cm in height. Open neon
tubes, flashing lettering or other light effects are not
permitted.
Company signs must have a size that can be covered
by a rectangular surface area of 2.5 m2 . The
highest point must not be more than 6.50 m away
from the hall floor.

4.2.1.9 Bauhöhen für die Standgestaltung

4.2.2 Gestaltungsrichtlinien im Freigelände
4.2.2.1 Standabgrenzungen
Diese sollen nur in transparenter Form erfolgen, um
den Durchblick auf den Nachbarstand zu gewährleisten.
Beginn der Abgrenzung mind. 2,00 m von
der Straßenfront.
4.2.2.2 Allgemeine Standvorschriften
Die Standflächen sind gepflastert. Von einem waagerechten
und/oder planebenen Zustand kann nicht
ausgegangen werden.
Die Bodenbelastbarkeit der Flächen beträgt ca. 200
kN/m2 und ist damit nicht für alle Exponate ausreichend.
Lastannahme nach DIN 1055 beachten.
Bei Vorführungen von Maschinen und Geräten
sowie Krananlagen sind alle Sicherheitsvorschriften
zu beachten.
Krananlagen sind meldepflichtig.
Vorführungen außerhalb der Standfläche sind nicht
zulässig.
4.2.1.9 Stand hights for the stand design

4.2.2 Open-air site regulations
4.2.2.1 Stand boundary barriers
These must be of transparent construction in order
to ensure a clear view through to the neighbouring
stand. The barrier must be at least 2 m away from
the edge of the road.
4.2.2.2 General stand conditions
Stand surface areas are covered with or paving. It
cannot be assumed that a stand area will be horizontal
or even.
The load capacity of the surface is approx. 200 kN/m2 and is thus not suitable for all exhibits.
Please note design loads according to DIN 1055.
When demonstrating machines, equipment, or cranes
all safety regulation must be observed.
When exhibiting crane installations, the DMAG must
be notified.
Demonstrations are not permitted outside the stand
boundary.

4.2.2.3 Standbauten, Pavillons
Sie sollen möglichst im hinteren Bereich der Ausstellungsfläche
platziert werden.
Abstand zur Straßenfront mind. 2,00 m.
Bei mehrgeschossigen Bauten beträgt die Bauhöhe
max. 4,00 m je Geschoss.
Überdachte Standbauten zum Aufenthalt von Personen,
mit einem Rauminhalt über 15,0 m3 sowie
Werbeaufbauten mit einer Ansichtsfläche über
0,5 m2 sind nach Niedersächsischer Bauordnung
(NBauO) genehmigungs- und abnahmepflichtig.
4.2.2.4 Werbemaßnahmen
Werbliche Aktionen sind nur auf der eigenen Standfläche
zulässig.
Optische, akustische und andere Werbemaßnahmen
dürfen nicht zu Behinderungen auf Straßen und
Nachbarständen führen.
Laseranlagen müssen dem Gewerbeaufsichtsamt
angezeigt werden.
4.2.2.5 Standbeschriftungen und
Firmenzeichen
Freistehende Firmenschilder sind bis zu 5,00 m
Höhe, Firmenzeichen bis 8,00 m Höhe zulässig.
Grenzabstand mindestens 2,00 m.
Bewegliche Firmenzeichen sind ab 30,00 m Höhe
gestattet. Max. Geschwindigkeit zwei bis drei Umdrehungen
pro Minute.
Bitte Abschnitt 4.3.4 beachten.
Fesselballone sind nicht zulässig!
4.2.2.6 Fahnen
Die Fahnenstangen sollen die Höhe von 10,00 m
nicht überschreiten.
Vor Einbau Leitungspläne der DMAG einsehen.
4.3 Standbaugenehmigung:
Einreichungspflicht für alle Standentwürfe beim Veranstalter
zur Prüfung und Genehmigung.
Die Genehmigung der Standentwürfe ist Grundlage
der Standnutzung durch den Aussteller.
Termine
Spätester Einreichungstermin der Unterlagen zur
Genehmigung für alle Planungen ist der 20. Juni

4.2.2.3 Stand construction and pavilions
As far as possible, these should be situated to the
rear of the exhibition area.
Minimum distance from the edge of the road: 2 m.
The maximum building heigth for multi-storey buildings
is 4.00 per storey.
Roofed stand structures exceeding a volume of
15 m3 which are intended to accommodate people,
must be inspected and approved in accordance with
the Lower Saxony Building Code (NBauO). The
same applies to advertising fixtures having a visible
surface exceeding 0.5 m2 .
4.2.2.4 Advertisements
Advertising is permitted only at the exhibitor’s own
stand.
Optical, acoustic, and other forms of advertising
must not cause obstruction on roadways or to neighbouring
stands.
Any use of laser equipment must be reported to the
Trade Inspection Office (Gewerbeaufsichtsamt).
4.2.2.5 Stand lettering and company signs
Free-standing company signs are permitted up to a
height of 5 m. Company signs may be up to 8 m
high.
Minimum distance from stand boundary: 2 m.
Moving signs are permitted above the height of
30 m. These may revolve at a maximum speed of
2–3 rpm.
Please note par. 4.3.4.
Captive balloons are not allowed.
4.2.2.6 Flags
The height of flagpoles must not exceed 10 m.
Before erecting flagpoles, refer to map of supply network
from DMAG.
4.3 Approval of stand constructions:
All construction designs for stands must be submitted
to the organiser for examination and approval.
The exhibitor’s approval of the stand is subject to the
use of the stand design.

The documents for the entire planning must be submitted
for approval by 20th June, 2002 at the latest

Pläne verbleibt beim Veranstalter, ein Exemplar geht
mit Gestaltungsprüfvermerk zurück an den Aussteller,
zwei Exemplare sowie die Statik leitet der Veranstalter
zur technischen und baurechtlichen Prüfung
an die DMAG weiter. Die DMAG prüft kostenpflichtig
die weitergeleiteten Pläne und sendet einen
Plansatz mit Prüfvermerk an den Aussteller zurück.

For two-storey buildings, special constructions,
outdoor constructions and buildings requiring a permit,
4 copies of the documentation must be submitted
to the organiser (exception: structural
calculation, two copies).

one copy of the approved plans. One copy bearing
the design certification will be returned to the exhibitor,
two copies together with the structural analysis
will be forwarded by the organiser to DMAG for
technical examination and official approval. DMAG
will examine the forwarded plans with costs and
return a set of the plans bearing the building certification
to the exhibitor.

4.3.1 Beseitigung nicht genehmigter Bauteile
Standbauten, die nicht genehmigt sind, den Technischen
Richtlinien oder den Gesetzen nicht entsprechen,
müssen gegebenenfalls geändert oder beseitigt
werden. Bei nicht fristgerechter Ausführung ist
die Deutsche Messe AG oder der Veranstalter
berechtigt, auf Kosten und Gefahr des Ausstellers
selbst Änderungen vornehmen zu lassen.
4.3.2 Wiederherstellung der Ausstellungsflächen
Fundamente und sonstige, vom Aussteller erstellte
Bauwerke sind durch die beauftragte Vertragsfachfirma
abzubrechen, auszubauen, und der anfallende
Bauschutt ist sofort vom Messegelände zu entfernen.
Alle Bohrlöcher, Bau- und Vorführgruben sind
lagenweise zu verfüllen und zu verdichten.
Der Ursprungszustand ist wieder herzustellen.
Alle erforderlichen Wiederherstellungsarbeiten müssen
bis zum Termin „Abbauende“ abgeschlossen
sein.
Bis zur endgültigen Wiederherstellung der Flächen
ist seitens des Ausstellers für die Unfallverhütung zu
sorgen.
4.3.3 Prüfung der Standfläche
Die gemietete Standfläche wird von dem Veranstalter
gekennnzeichnet. Jeder Aussteller ist verpflichtet,
sich vor Ort über Lage, Maße und etwaige Einbauten
zu informieren. Die Standfläche ist unbedingt
einzuhalten, auch Beleuchtungskörper und Schilder
dürfen nicht über die Standgrenzen hinausragen.
4.3.4 Eingriffe in die Bausubstanz
Hallenteile und technische Einrichtungen dürfen
nicht zur Befestigung von Standbauten und Exponaten
genutzt werden, sie dürfen auch nicht beklebt
oder angestrichen werden. Werden Bohrlöcher im
Hallenboden hergestellt, berechnet die Deutsche
Messe AG dem Aussteller eine Reparaturpauschale.
In der jeweiligen Halleninspektion bestätigt der
verantwortliche Bauleiter auf einem Formular mit
seiner Unterschrift die Anzahl der vorgenommenen
Bohrungen.
Eingebrachte Schwerlastanker, Schrauben oder
Bolzen müssen vom Aussteller bzw. von der Messebaufirma
sofort bei der Standdemontage entfernt
werden. Bei Nichtbeachtung haftet der Aussteller für
Folgeschäden.
4.3.5 Verkehrslasten, Lastannahmen
– Für zweigeschossige Messestände sind die Verkehrslasten
nach DIN 1055 anzusetzen:
– Versammlungs-/Ausstellungs- und
ähnliche Räume 5,0 kN/m2 – bei büroähnlicher Nutzung
Abminderung möglich auf 3,5 kN/m2 – Treppen 5,0 kN/m2 26
4.3.1 Removal of non approved structures
Stand structures that have not been approved or do
not comply with the Technical Regulations or legal
requirements may have to be modified or removed.
If the necessary modifications or the removal are not
done by the prescribed date, Deutsche Messe AG or
the organizer is authorized to have the modifications
or removal carried out at the expense and risk of the
exhibitor.
4.3.2 Restoration of stand space to previous
condition
Foundation and other structures erected by the exhibitor
must be demolished by the appointed specialist
contractors. The resulting rubble and debris must
be removed from the fairgrounds immediately.
All drilled holes, foundation pits, and demonstration
pits must be filled and compacted in layers.
The original condition must be restored.
All necessary restoration work must be completed
by the end of the dismantling period.
Until the stand area has been fully restored to its original
condition, the exhibitor must provide appropriate
accident prevention measures.
4.3.3 Checking the stand area
The rented stand area will be appropriately marked
by the organizer. It is the responsibility of every exhibitor
to check the location and dimensions of his
stand as well as any fixed objects on the rented area.
No object, including light fittings and signs, may
protrude beyond the boundary of the stand.
4.3.4 Violations of structural integrity
It is not permitted to secure stand structures or exhibits
to parts of the hall installations. Moreover it is
not permitted to stick objects onto or paint parts of
the hall or its installations. If holes are drilled in the
hall floor, Deutsche Messe AG will charge the exhibitor
a lump sum for repairs. The foreman responsible
for the work must report to the hall supervisor
and fill out the appropriate form indicating how many
holes were drilled.
Any heavy duty anchors, screws or bolts put into the
floor must be removed by the exhibitor or the stand
construction company when the stand is dismantled.
The exhibitor is liable for any damage that may result
in the event of non-compliance.
4.3.5 Working and design loads
– The working loads in two-storey stands are to be
based on DIN 1055, for example:
– conference, exhibition and
similar areas 5.0 kN/m2 – office and similar areas, reduction
possible to 3.5 kN/m2 – stairs 5.0 kN/m2

– Horizontallast für Brüstungen und
Geländer in Holmhöhe 1,0 kN/m2 – Horizontallast für Außenwände im
Obergeschoss in 0,90 m Höhe über
Fußboden 1,0 kN/m2 Es ist nachzuweisen, dass die Punktlast aus Standobergeschossen
die maximal zulässige Fußbodenpressung
nicht überschreitet. (Siehe Punkt 3.1)
Auf Abdeckungen von Schächten und Versorgungskanälen
können keine schweren Lasten positioniert
werden.
4.3.6 Werbemaßnahmen, Präsentationen
Werbliche Aktionen sind nur auf der eigenen Standfläche
zulässig. Hierfür ist ausreichender Zuschauerraum
auf der eigenen Standfläche nachzuweisen.
Werbemaßnahmen, insbesondere optische und
akustische, dürfen nicht zu Behinderungen und
Störungen auf den Gängen und Nachbarständen
führen.
Bei Showveranstaltungen sind die Sicherheitsbestimmungen
der Berufsgenossenschaftlichen Vorschrift
„Veranstaltungs- und Produktionsstätten für
szenische Darstellung“ (BGV C1, ehemals VBG 70)
zu beachten. Shows oder Produktpräsentationen mit
Showeinlagen müssen beim Veranstalter angemeldet
werden.
Geräte, Einrichtungen und Vorführungen, die dazu
bestimmt oder geeignet sind, die besondere Aufmerksamkeit
der Besucher auf sich zu lenken, müssen
besonders genehmigt werden:
– Im Antrag auf Prüfung und Genehmigung eines
Standentwurfs nach Abschnitt 4.3 ist die vorgesehene
Vorführung anzugeben.
– Im Standentwurf muss eine vollständige Beschreibung
der Anordnung, Funktion und Betriebsweise
der Geräte und Vorführungen enthalten sein.
Unabhängig von den bei der Genehmigung im
Einzelfall erteilten Auflagen gelten für besondere
Vorführungen folgende Bedingungen:
a) Die Geräte, Einrichtungen und Vorführungen
dürfen nur zur Erläuterung von Merkmalen
und Funktion der Ausstellungsgegenstände dienen.
Sie müssen so angeordnet sein, dass durch
Ansammlungen der Besucher keine Behinderungen
auf den Gängen entstehen können.
b) Akustische Darbietungen auf dem Ausstellungsgelände
sind anzeige- und genehmigungspflichtig
und hinsichtlich Art und Dauer dem Ausstellungsveranstalter
auf dem Formular Standgenehmigung
der Mappe „Service-Angebot“ zu
beschreiben.
Aus physiologischen Gründen und um einer
Störung von Gesprächen auf angrenzenden
Ständen entgegenzuwirken, kann eine Genehmigung
akustischer Darbietung nur dann erteilt
werden, wenn der Aussteller sich verpflichtet,
sicherzustellen, dass der Lautstärkepegel der
Darbietung – an den Grenzen des Ausstellungsstandes
gemessen – als Spitzenwert höchstens
10 db (A) über dem Geräuschpegel der Umgebung
liegt, und in keinem Fall der Spitzenpegel
85 db (A) überschritten wird; der jeweils kleinere
sich ergebende Wert ist entscheidend.

covers of shafts and supply channels.
4.3.6 Advertising activities and presentation
Advertising activities may be carried out only on the
exhibitor’s own stand. It must be shown there is adequate
space available for spectators on the stand.
Advertising presentations, in particular those involving
audio and visual elements, must not cause
obstructions and interference in the aisles or to
neighbouring stands.
For show events, the safety regulations of the German
trade association directive, “Veranstaltungsund
Produktionsstätten für szenische Darstellung”,
(BGB C1, formerly VBG 70) must be observed. The
organizer must be notified of shows or product presentations
with show components.
Device, equipment and displays that are intended or
designed to attract the attention of visitors must be
specially approved:
– The planned display is to be indicated in the application
for inspection and approval of a stand draft
to section 4.3
– A complete description of the arrangement, function
and mode of operation of devices and displays
must be included in the stand draft.
Independent of the instruction given in the individual
cases at the time of approval, the following conditions
apply to special displays to section 2.1.4:
a) Devices, equipments and displays must
serve only to clarify characteristics and the operation
of the exhibited articles. They must be
arranged in such a way that gathering visitors will
not block the aisles.
b) Acoustic performances on the exhibition site
are subject to notification and approval and their
nature and duration must be described to the
exhibition organizer on the Stand Construction
Approval form in the “Services Offered”.
For physiological reasons and to avoid interference
with conversation on neighbouring
stands, approval for an acoustic performance can
only be granted if the exhibitor undertakes to
ensure that the loudness level of the performance
– measured at the limits of the stand – does not
exceed a peak value of 10 dB (A) over the ambient
noise level and at no time exceeds the peak level
of 85 db (A). The lower value shall apply in each

wenn dadurch weder Besucher noch andere aussteller
gestört oder belästigt werden.
d) Der Betrieb von Maschinen ist nur zulässig,
wenn dadurch Besucher und andere Aussteller
nicht belästigt werden.
e) Lichteffekte und Projektionen dürfen nicht
auf Boden- oder Wandflächen außerhalb des
durch die Standflächen begrenzten Bereichs
erzeugt werden.
Der Veranstalter kann auch nach bereits erteilter
Genehmigung für Geräte, Maschinen, Anlagen und
Ausstellungsobjekte sowie Darbietungen Auflagen
im Hinblick auf die Art und Dauer des Betriebs aussprechen.
Er kann den Betrieb untersagen, wenn der
Aussteller den erteilten Auflagen nicht nachkommt
oder die genannten Bedingungen nicht einhält.
Musikalische Darbietungen sind gebührenpflichtig.

4.3.7 Klimatisierung
Bei geschlossenen Standdecken und in Standobergeschossen
ist eine gleichmäßige Klimatisierung
durch die zentrale Anlage der Halle nicht sichergestellt.
Installationen von standeigenen Lüftungs- oder Klimaanlagen
sind nur in Abstimmung mit der Deutschen
Messe AG vorzunehmen. Der Betrieb von luftgekühlten
Kondensatoren innerhalb der Halle ist
nicht gestattet.
4.3.8 Leitungsverlegung und Revisionsöffnungen
Die Standversorgung erfolgt in der Regel aus den
Versorgungskanälen im Hallenboden. Im Stand
erfolgt die Leitungsverlegung grundsätzlich über
Flur. Die Leitungen sind so zu sichern, dass Unfallgefahren
für Personen und Beschädigungen der
Leitungen ausgeschlossen sind.
Für den Bau von Doppelböden und schützenden
Standwänden ist der Aussteller verantwortlich.
Bodenbeläge und Doppelböden sind so vorzusehen,
dass die Versorgungskanäle und -schächte
ohne Aufwand zugänglich sind. Kosten und Schäden,
die dadurch entstehen, dass Versorgungseinrichtungen
der Deutschen Messe AG nicht zugänglich
sind, gehen zu Lasten des verursachenden Ausstellers.
An den Standgrenzen, die nicht Ganggrenzen sind,
gestattet der Aussteller die Überflurverlegung von
Leitungen zur Versorgung Dritter (siehe auch Punkt
3.2.2).

c) Visual presentations are permitted only if they
neither disturb nor annoy visitors or other exhibitors.
d) The operation of machines is permitted only,
if visitors and other exhibitors will not be annoyed
e) Light effects and projections may not be
produced on any ground or wall areas outside the
limited stand spaces.
The organizer has the right in the case of approval
already given for devices, machines, systems and
exhibited articles as well as presentations, to give
instructions concerning the type and duration of
operation or to prohibit operation if it is in the interest
of the overall design or for other important reasons.
The organizer has the right to prohibit the
operation, if the exhibitor does not comply with the
regulations or the conditions.
Musical presentations are subject to a fee. Please

4.3.7 Air conditioning
The central air-conditioning system is not necessarily
adequate to guarantee uniform air conditioning
in stands with closed ceilings and on the upper
floors of stands. Ventilation or air-conditioning
systems may be installed for individual stands only
if approval has been obtained from Deutsche Messe
AG. It is not permitted to operate air-cooled condensers
inside the halls.
4.3.8 Laying of supply lines and
inspection openings
Stands are usually supplied via supply channels in
the hall floor. In the stands all lines are laid above
floor level and must be secured in such a way as to
preclude any risk of accident to persons and damage
to the lines.
Exhibitors are responsible for constructing raised
floors and protective stand walls. Any floor covering
and raised flooring must be fitted in such a way that
supply channels and shafts are readily accessible.
The exhibitor responsible shall be liable for any
damage and costs that result from his failure to
ensure that the supply system of Deutsche Messe
AG is accessible.
A stand boundaries that do not border an aisle, the
exhibitor shall permit lines to be laid for supplying
third parties (refer to Section 3.2.2).

4.4 Brandschutz- und
Sicherheitsbestimmungen
4.4.1 Brandschutz/Sicherheit
4.4.1.1 Standbau- und Dekorationsmaterialien
Leicht entflammbare sowie brennend abtropfende
oder toxische Gase bildende Materialien dürfen
nicht verwendet werden. Standbau- und Dekorationsmaterialien
müssen gemäß DIN 4102 nichtbrennbar
oder schwerentflammbar sein. In Teilbereichen
dürfen normal entflammbare Materialien
verwendet werden, wenn diese durch die Bearbeitung
oder den Einbau ausreichend gegen Entflammen
geschützt sind.
An tragende Konstruktionsteile können aus Gründen
der Sicherheit im Einzelfall besondere Anforderungen
(z. B. nichtbrennbar) gestellt werden.
Ein Prüfzeugnis über die Baustoffklasse des eingesetzten
Materials kann gefordert werden.
Laub- und Nadelgehölze dürfen nur mit feuchten
Wurzelballen verwendet werden. Polystyrol-Hartschaum
(Styropor), Heu, Stroh, Rindenmulch, Torf,
Ried und ähnliche Materialien genügen in der Regel
nicht den genannten Anforderungen.
Der Einsatz von Kunststoff-Kabelbindern zur Befestigung
statisch beanspruchter Teile ist nicht gestattet.
4.4.1.2 Standdecken und Sprinkleranlagen
Die Hallen sind teilweise mit Sprinkleranlagen ausgestattet
(siehe Punkt 3.1). In der Nähe von Sprinklerdüsen
dürfen keine Wärmeerzeuger aufgestellt
werden, da sich die Sprinklerdüsen bei ca. 68° C öffnen
und Löschwasser austritt.
In den Hallen 11 bis 27 können Standdecken ohne
zusätzliche Brandschutzauflagen bis zu einer Größe
von 200 m2 geschlossen ausgeführt werden. Bei
größeren geschlossenen Decken bis maximal 1000
m2 ist der Stand mit Rauchmeldern (Einzelmelder
mit akustischem Alarm), einer Standbewachung und
zusätzlichen Feuerlöschern auszustatten. Bitte fordern
Sie weitere Informationen beim Aussteller-Service
der Deutschen Messe AG an.
4.4.1.3 Glas
Es darf nur Sicherheitsglas verwendet werden. Kanten
von Glasscheiben müssen so bearbeitet oder
geschützt sein, dass eine Verletzungsgefahr ausgeschlossen
ist. Ganzglasbauteile sind in Augenhöhe
zu markieren.
Beim Einsatz von Glas/Acryl in Böden, Brüstungen,
Fassaden und Decken sind besondere Auflagen
beim Technischen Ausstellerservice der Deutschen
Messe AG zu erfragen.
Normalentflammbares Acrylglas muss in Metallrahmen
eingefasst sein oder geschliffene Kanten
haben.
4.4 Fire safety and safety regulations
4.4.1 Fire safety/safety
4.4.1.1 Stand construction and
decoration materials
It is not permitted to use highly imflammable materials
or materials that drip when burning or that form
toxic gases. All materials used in the construction
and decoration of stands must be non-flammable in
accordance with DIN 4102. Materials that are
flammable to a normal extent may be used in parts
of stands if they are prepared or fitted in such a manner
so as to provide adequate protection against fire.
For safety reasons load-bearing structural components
may be required in certain cases to satisfy
special requirements (e.g. to be non-flammable).
You may be required to present a test certificate of
the classification of the building material used.
Plant arrangements with leafy ore pine twigs or
branches may be used only if they have moist, potted
roots. Polystyrene, hay, straw, tree bark, peat,
reeds and similar materials do not usually satisfy the
above requirements.
The use of plastic cable connectors to affix any parts
subject to static loads is prohibited.
4.4.1.2 Sprinkler systems and stand ceilings
Several halls are fully or partially equipped with
sprinkler systems (see Section 3.1). No heat source
of any kind is permitted in the vicinity of the sprinkler
nozzles, as these are activated at a temperature
of about 68 °C.
In halls 11 – 27 closed stand ceilings up to a total
area of 200 m2 are exempt from any special fire prevention
regulations. Stands with larger closed ceilings
up to a maximum of 1,000 m2 must be outfitted
with smoke detectors (individual detectors with
acoustic alarms) and additional fire extinguishers, as
well as requiring a security guard at night. Please
contact the Services for Exhibitors dept. at Deutsche
Messe AG for more information.
4.4.1.3 Glass
Only safety glass may be used. Edges of sheet glass
must be finished or protected so as to abviate any
risk of injury. Structural components made completely
of glass must be marked at eye level.
Contact Deutsche Messe AG’s Technical service for
special regulations governing the use of glass in
floors, railings, facades and ceilings.
Plexiglass that is flammable to a normal extent must
be fitted in a metal frame or have smoothed edges.

4.4.1.4 Ausstellung von Kraftfahrzeugen
Fahrzeuge mit Verbrennungsmotoren dürfen in den
Hallen nur mit weitgehend leerem Tank ausgestellt
werden. Die Batterie ist abzuklemmen und der Treibstofftank
muss abgeschlossen sein.
4.4.1.5 Explosionsgefährliche Stoffe
Explosionsgefährliche Stoffe unterliegen dem
Sprengstoffgesetz und dürfen nicht ausgestellt werden.
Das gilt auch für Munition im Sinne des Waffengesetzes
4.4.1.6 Pyrotechnik
Der Einsatz von Pyrotechnik ist nicht gestattet.
4.4.1.7 Luftballons und Flugobjekte
Die Verwendung von ferngesteuerten Flugobjekten
ist nicht gestattet. Mit Ballongas gefüllte Luftballons
müssen vom Veranstalter genehmigt werden.
4.4.1.8 Nebelmaschinen
Der Einsatz von Nebelmaschinen ist mit dem Veranstalter
abzustimmen.
4.4.1.9 Leergut
Die Lagerung von Leergut jeglicher Art in der Halle,
auch auf den Standflächen, ist verboten. Anfallendes
Leergut ist unverzüglich zu entfernen.
4.4.1.10Feuerlöscher
Jeder Stand muss mit mindestens einem Feuerlöscher
ausgestattet sein. (Siehe Punkt 7.1)
4.4.1.11 Küchen
Zur Vermeidung von Geruchsbelästigungen sind
Küchendünste aus der Halle abzuleiten. Aus Sicherheitsgründen
dürfen in den Hallen keine gasgefeuerten
Küchengeräte betrieben werden. Im Interesse
des Umweltschutzes sind Speiseöle, Friteusenfette
u. ä. gesondert zu entsorgen (siehe Punkt. 6.2.1).
Schmutzwasser, welches in das Abwassernetz eingeleitet
werden soll, darf die für Haushalte üblichen
Schadstoffmengen nicht übersteigen. Werden stark
fetthaltige Abwässer eingeleitet, ist der Einsatz von
Fettabscheidern erforderlich.
4.4.1.12Blitzschutz
Bauliche Anlagen und Exponate, bei denen nach
Lage, Bauort oder Benutzung Blitzschlag leicht eintreten
oder zu schweren Folgen führen kann, müssen
mit dauernd wirksamen Blitzschutzanlagen versehen
sein. Darüber hinaus sind alle Bauten und
Exponate über 15 m Höhe mit einer Blitzschutzanlage
nach DIN 57185/VDE 0185 auszustatten.

4.4.1.4 Exhibition of vehicles
Vehicles with internal combustion engines may be
exhibited in the halls provided the fuel tanks is virtually
empty. The fuel tank must be locked and the
battery disconnected.
4.4.1.5 Explosive materials
Explosive materials are subject to the law on explosives
and may not be exhibited. This is also true for
ammunition as defined by the law on munitions.
4.4.1.6 Pyrotechnics
The use of pyrotechnics is not allowed.
4.4.1.7 Balloons and flying objects
The use of remote-controlled flying objects is prohibited.
Air balloons filled with balloon gas are subject
to approval by the organizer.
4.4.1.8 Fog machines
The using of fog machines is subject to approval by
organizer.
4.4.1.9 Empty packaging
The storage of any type of empty packaging in the
halls, including on stand areas, is not allowed. Empty
packaging must be removed immediately.
4.4.1.10Fire extinguishers
Every stand must be equipped with at least one fire
extinguisher (refer to Section 7.1).
4.4.1.11 Kitchens
Cooking facilities must have an exhaust system
connected to the hall exhaust system to prevent a
build-up of odours. For safety reasons it is not
allowed to use gas operated kitchen appliances inside
the halls. In the interests of environmental protection
edible oils, cooking fat and similar products
must be disposed of separately from other waste
materials (refer to Section 6.2.1)
The disposal of pollutants in waste water via the
sewage system is not allowed to exceed the pollutant
level that is considered normal for households.
If the oil or grease content in sewage exceeds these
levels, a suitable oil/grease separator must bee
used.
4.4.1.12Lightning conductor equipment
Where building and exhibits are particulary exposed
to lightning due to their position, location, or use, or
where the impact of lightning might have serious
consequences, they must be fitted with permanently
effective lightning conductor equipment. In addition,
all structures and exhibits over 15 m in height
must be fitted with lightning conductor equipment as
specified in German standard DIN 57185/VDE 0185.

4.4.2 Ausgänge und Rettungswege
Geschlossene Standbereiche mit einer Grundfläche
von mehr als 150 m 2 , einer Länge von mehr als 20
m oder unübersichtlicher Aufplanung müssen mindestens
zwei möglichst weit auseinandergelegene
Ausgänge haben. Diese Rettungswege sind nach
BGV A8, ehemals VBG 125 zu kennzeichnen.
4.4.2.1 Rettungswege und Treppen
Im Obergeschoß eines zweigeschossigen Messestandes
darf die Entfernung zur Treppe von jeder
zugänglichen Stelle aus höchstens 20,0 m Lauflinie
betragen. Bei Überschreitung oder unübersichtlicher
Raumordnung ist eine zweite Treppe erforderlich.
Alle Treppen sind nach DIN 18065 auszuführen. Die
mindeste lichte Breite ist abhängig von der Personenzahl
im Obergeschoß:
bis max. 50 Personen 1,00 m
über 50 Personen 1,20 – 1,60 m
mehr als 100 Personen 2,00 m
Die Treppen müssen immer für eine Verkehrslast
von 5,0 kN/m2 ausgelegt werden. die Steigungshöhe
darf nicht mehr als 0,19 m, die Auftrittstiefe
nicht weniger als 0,26 m Lauflienie (Treppenmitte)
betragen.
Spindeltreppen sind als notwendige Treppen nicht
zulässig. Handläufe müssen griffsicher und endlos
ausgeführt sein. Bei notwendigen Treppen sind
Handläufe beidseitig erforderlich.
4.4.2.2 Obergeschoss
Im Obergeschoss sind bei offener Brüstung Abrollsicherungen
von mindestens 0,05 m Höhe auf dem
Fußboden anzubringen. Brüstungen müssen eine
Mindesthöhe von 0,90 m aufweisen und sind entsprechend
Punkt 4.3.5 auszuführen.
5. Betriebssicherheit und Unfallverhütung
– technische Sicherheitsbestimmungen
und technische
Versorgung
5.1 Allgemeine Hinweise
Der Aussteller ist für die Betriebssicherheit und die
Einhaltung der Arbeitsschutz- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften
auf seinem Stand selbst verantwortlich.
Er haftet auch für alle Schäden, die durch
den Standbau und den Betrieb seines Standes und
der darauf platzierten Exponate entstehen. Während
der gesamten Auf- und Abbauzeit herrscht innerhalb
und außerhalb der Hallen und im Freigelände
ein baustellenähnlicher Betrieb. Das eingesetzte
Personal ist auf die besonderen Gefahren hinzuweisen.
Für das gesamte Messegelände gilt die Hausordnung
der Deutschen Messe AG.
4.4.2 Stand exits and escape routes
Closed-in stands with a floor area of more than
150 m2 , a length of more than 20 m or stands which
have a complex layout must have at least two separate
exits located as far away as possible from each
other. The escape routes to the exits must be signposted
in accordance with BGV A8, formerly VBG
125.
4.4.2.1 Escape routes and stairs
On the upper levels of two-storey stands, stairs must
be no more than 20 m walking distance away from
every accessible point. If this distance is exceeded
or if the room arrangement is confusing, a second
set of stairs must be installed.
All stairs must assord with DIN 18065. The minimum
width of the stairs depends on the number of persons
that the upper level can hold:
up to persons 1.00 m
over 50 persons 1.20 m to 1.60 m
more than 100 persons 2.00 m
Stairs must be designed to handle a working load
of at least 5 kN/m2 . The rise of each step must not
exceed 0.19 m and the tread depth must not be less
than 0.26 m at the middle of the steps. The clearance
on stairways must be at least 2.00 m.
Newelled staircases are not allowed as a necessary
set of stairs. Hand rails must be continuouse and
provide a safe grip. Hand rails must be fitted on
either side of necessary stairs.
4.4.2.2 Upper level
If open balustrades are fitted on the upper level, a
safety edge at least 0.05 m high must be fitted on the
floor. Balustrades must be at least 0.90 m high and
fulfil the requirements given in section 4.3.5.
5. Industrial safety and
accident prevention, and
technical safety regulations
5.1 General information
The exhibitor is responsible for safety at the stand
and for ensuring that industrial safety and accident
prevention regulations are complied with. He is liable
for any damage that results from the construction
or running of his stand or the exhibits diosplayed
in it. Conditions inside and outside the halls as
well as on the open-air site are similar to those on a
building site throughout the construction and dismantling
periods. The personnel working in this
enviroment must be made aware of the dangers that
exist.
The General Regulations of Deutsche Messe AG
apply to the entire exhibition grounds.

Während der Auf- und Abbauzeiten und während
der Veranstaltung müssen die Hallengänge als Rettungswege
freigehalten werden. Das Lagern von
Standbaumaterial, Leergut und Exponaten in den
Gängen ist deshalb nicht zulässig.
Dem Gewerbeaufsichtsamt, den Ordnungsbehörden,
den berufsgenossenschaftlichen Messekommissionen,
dem Veranstalter, der Polizei und der
Feuerwehr sowie den Beauftragten der Deutschen
Messe AG ist jederzeit zur Überprüfung der Betriebssicherheit
und der Unfallverhütungsmaßnahmen
Zutritt zu den Ständen zu gewähren. Werden Sicherheitsmängel
festgestellt, ist den Anordnungen der
vorgenannten Stellen unverzüglich Folge zu leisten.
5.2 Einsatz von Arbeitsmitteln
Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen dürfen nur verwendet
werden, wenn sie mit allen gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen
Schutzeinrichtungen einschließlich Späneabsaug-
und Späneauffangeinrichtungen ausgerüstet
sind. Der Gebrauch von Spritzpistolen und die
Verwendung von Nitrolacken ist verboten.
Der Einsatz von Kranen, kraftbetriebenen Gabelstaplern
mit Fahrerplatz u. ä. Flurförderzeugen ist auf
dem Messegelände den von der Deutschen Messe
AG zugelassenen Vertragsspeditionen vorbehalten.
5.2.1 Schweißen, Schneiden und verwandte
Arbeiten
Schweißen, Schneiden und verwandte Arbeiten dürfen
nur unter Beachtung der Brandschutzbestimmungen
durchgeführt werden. Bei Arbeiten in
brand- und explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen ist der
Schweißerlaubnisschein des ausführenden Unternehmers
der Deutschen Messe AG vorzulegen.
5.3 Elektroinstallation
5.3.1 Anschlüsse
Alle Standzuleitungen bis zu einem Leitungsquerschnitt
von 6 mm2 (20 kW) werden als flexible Leitungen
ausgeführt. Sie sind mit einer CEE-Kupplung
16 A bzw. 32 A versehen.
Bei Leistungen über 3 kW wird ihr Stand mit Dreiphasenwechselstrom
3 x 400 V, 50 Hz eingespeist.
Anschlüsse an die Versorgungsnetze, auch an
Steckdosen in den Versorgungskanälen, sowie die
Verlegung von Leitungen außerhalb des Standes
und in messeeigenen Kanälen und Schächten dürfen
nur von den zugelassenen Hallenelektrikern
ausgeführt werden. Dem Bestellformular ist eine
Grundrissskizze beizufügen, aus der die Leitungsführung
und die gewünschte Platzierung der Anschlüsse
ersichtlich sind. Die Inbetriebnahme erfolgt
mit Beginn der Aufbauzeit. Unmittelbar nach Messeschluss
wird mit der Außerbetriebnahme und Demontage
begonnen.

Aisles in the hall must be kept clear at all times, even
during the construction and dismantling periods, in
case they are needed as rescue and escape routes.
It is not allowed to store stand constructions materials,
empty packaging and exhibits in the aisles.
The Office gor Industrial Health and safety, the regulatory
authorities, trade associations for fairs and
exhibitions, the organizer, the police and the fire brigade
as well as representatives of Deutsche Messe
AG must be granted access to stands whenever
necessary to enable them to inspect safety and accident
prevention measures. If stand safety is found to
be deficient in any way, the instructions issued by
above authorities must be followed without delay.
5.2 Use of machines and equipment
Wood working machines may be used only if they
are fitted with all the legally prescribed safety
guards, including a wood-chip extractor and woodchip
catch pan. The use of spray guns and the application
of cellulose nitrate is not allowed.
Cranes, driver-operated fork-lift trucks and similar
industrial loaders may be used on the exhibition grounds
only by the freight carriers authorised by the
Deutsche Messe AG.
5.2.1 Welding, cutting and similar work
Welding, cutting and other work of a similar nature
may be carried out provided the fire safety regulations
are adhered to. If work is to be carried out in
areas where there is danger of fire or explosion, the
person performing the work must present a welding
permit to the officials responsible at Deutsche Messe
AG.
5.3 Electrical installations
5.3.1 Electrical connections
All electrical cables to the stand are flexible up to a
cross-section of 6 mm2 (20 kW). They are fitted with
16 A or 32 CEE socket connections. A three-phase
AC supply (3 x 400 V, 50Hz) is supplied to stands
that require more than 3 kW.
Connections to the supply networks and to sockets
in the supply channels as well as the laying of lines
outside the stand and generally in channels and
shafts may be carried out only by an authorized contractor.
A stand layout plan showing the placement of power
lines and desired locations of sockets must be submitted
with the order form.
Commissioning will occur at the start of stand construction.
Decommissioning and dismantling will
commence immediately after the trade show
finishes.

5.3.2 Standinstallation
Im Stand dürfen Installationsarbeiten auch durch
eigene Fachkräfte des Ausstellers unter Beachtung
der gültigen Vorschriften ausgeführt werden.
Dem Hallenelektriker ist die selbstinstallierte Anlage
zur Abnahme zu melden. Die Abnahme ist gebührenpflichtig.
Bei Nichtbeachtung der gültigen
Installationsvorschriften ist der Hallenelektriker verpflichtet,
den Anschluss des Standes an die Messe-
Versorgungsnetze zu verweigern.
Die Inbetriebnahme der Elektroinstallation darf erst
erfolgen, wenn sie auf ihren ordnungsgemäßen
Zustand ach BGV A2, ehemals VBG 4 geprüft worden
ist.
Die Verantwortung für die Selbstinstallation trägt der
Aussteller.
5.3.3 Montage- und Betriebsvorschriften
Für die elektrischen Anlagen sind die Bestimmungen
des VDE Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker
e.V. zu beachten, insbesondere VDE 0100 Teil 711
(HD 384.7.711) bzw. IEC 60364-7-711) und für Niedervoltbeleuchtung
VDE 0100 Teil 715 und VDE 0711
Teil 223.
Bei allen Standzuleitungen sind Schutzleiter (PE)
und Neutralleiter (N) als separate Leiter ausgeführt
und dürfen nicht miteinander verbunden werden.
Um eine gleichmäßige Belastung sicherzustellen,
sind die Stromkreise auf ihrem Messestand entsprechend
aufzuteilen.
Motoren mit einer Anschlussleistung über 20 kW
dürfen nur mit strombegrenzenden Anlassgeräten
eingeschaltet werden.
Bei Steckdosen- und Beleuchtungsstromkreisen bis
63 A sind Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtungen mit Nennfehlerstrom
von max. 30 mA zu installieren. Die Leitungsadern
für Starkstrom- und Beleuchtungsstromkreise
müsen einen Querschnitt von mindestens
1,5 mm2 haben. Unzulässig sind Flachleitungen
jeder Art.
Das Anschließen des ausstellerseitig erforderlichen
Hauptschalters erfolgt durch den zugelassenen Hallenelektriker
zu Lasten des Ausstellers. Ist ausstellerseitig
kein Hauptschalter vorhanden, wird auf
Mietpreisbasis ein Hauptschalter installiert. Um eine
Selektivität zum Messenetz zu gewährleisten, sind
die ausstellerseitig erforderlichen Sicherungen mit
dem Hallenelektriker abzustimmen.
5.3.4 Sicherheitsmaßnahmen
Zum besonderen Schutz sind alle wärmeerzeugenden
und wärmeentwickelnden Elektrogeräte (Kochplatten,
Scheinwerfer, Transformatoren usw.) auf
nichtbrennbaren, wärmebeständigen, asbestfreien
Unterlagen zu montieren. Entsprechend der Wärmeentwicklung
ist ein ausreichend großer Abstand
zu brennbaren Materialien sicherzustellen.
Beleuchtungskörper dürfen nicht an brennbaren
Dekorationen oder ähnlichem angebracht werden.
5.3.2 Installation
The exhibitor may use his own personnel to install
supply lines and fittings in his stand provided that
the pertinent regulations are observed.
Any installation work completed by the exhibitor
requires the final approval by an authorized hall
electrician. This approval is subject to a fee. If pertinent
regulations have not been observed, the authorized
electrician is obliged not to connect the
stand to the supply network.
Electrical installations may be connected only after
they have been chacked to ensure compliance with
the German BGV A2, formerly VBG 4, accident prevention
regulations.
The exhibitor is responsible for any installations he
has carried out himself.
5.3.3 Installation and operation
For the electrical systems, the regulations of the
Association of German Electrical Engineers (VDE)
must be ovserved, in particular VDE 0100 part 711
(HD384.7.711) or ICE 60364-7-711 and, for low-voltage
lighting, VDE 0100 part 715 and VDE 0711 part
223.
Earth (PE) and neutral (N) are always two separate
wires and must never be connected. It is important
that the ring circuits in the stand be installed properly
to ensure a uniform load. Motors with a power
rating of more than 20 kW may be switched on only
if they have a current limiting starter. Fault current
breakers with a nominal fault current of up to a maximum
of 30 mA must be installed in circuits (lighting
and sockets) that carry up to 63 A. Cables in highvoltage
(> 50 V) and lighting circuits must have a
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm2 . Flat cords of any
type are not permitted.
Connection of the master switch in the stand to the
network will be carried out by an authorized hall
electrician at the expense of the exhibitor. If there is
no master switch, one will be installed on a rental
basis. The authorized electrician should be consulted
as to what fuses and circuit breakers are
needed for the stand in order to ensure selective
protection in the exhibition network.
5.3.4 Safety regulations
All heat-generating electrical equipment (hot plates,
spot lights, transformers, etc.) must be mounted on
non-flammable, heat-resistant, asbestos-free surfaces.
The distance to adjacent, flammable materials
must reflect the amount of heat produced by the
relevant item. Lighting equipment must not be
mounted on flammable decorations or similar surfaces.

5.3.5 Sicherheitsbeleuchtung
Stände, in denen durch die Besonderheit ihrer Bauweise
die vorhandene allgemeine Sicherheitsbeleuchtung
nicht wirksam ist, bedürfen einer zusätzlichen
eigenen Sicherheitsbeleuchtung. Sie ist so
anzulegen, dass ein sicheres Zurechtfinden bis zu
den allgemeinen Rettungswegen gewährleistet ist.
(siehe auch VDE 0108).
5.4 Wasser- und Abwasserinstallation
5.4.1 Anschlüsse
In der Regel besteht der Wasseranschluss aus einer
Zuleitung 1/2“ und einer Abwasserleitung DN 50 auf
Fußboden. Größere Anschlüsse können nach technischer
Klärung und rechtzeitiger Anmeldung ausgeführt
werden.
Anschlüsse an das Ver- und Entsorgungsnetz sowie
die Verlegung von Leitungen außerhalb des Standes
und in messeeigenen Kanälen und Schächten
dürfen nur von den zugelassenen Halleninstallateuren
ausgeführt werden.
Dem Bestellformular ist eine Grundrißskizze beizufügen,
aus der die Leitungsführung und die
gewünschte Platzierung der Anschlüsse ersichtlich
sind.
Die Inbetriebnahme erfolgt mit Beginn der Aufbauzeit.

5.4.2 Standinstallation

Dem zugelassenen Halleninstallateur ist die selbstinstallierte
Anlage zur Abnahme zu melden. Die
Abnahme ist gebührenpflichtig. Bei Nichtbeachtung
der gültigen Installationsvorschriften ist der Halleninstallateur
verpflichtet, den Anschluss des Standes
an die Messe-Versorgungsnetze zu verweigern.
Die Verantwortung für die Selbstinstallation trägt der
Aussteller.
5.4.3 Montage- und Betriebsvorschriften
Frischwasser darf in Klimaanlagen nur zur Kühlung
von Kältekompressoren eingesetzt werden. Der
Wasserverbrauch für diese Klimageräte ist durch
Wasserzähler zu erfassen.
Aus Sicherheitsgründen erhalten nur Geschirrspülmaschinen
mit eingebauter Abwasserpumpe einen
Wasseranschluss.
Bei mobilen Ständen im Freigelände ist eine
störungsfreie Wasserversorgung bei Frost nicht
gewährleistet.
Beim Verlassen des Standes ist das Hauptabsperrventil
zu schließen. Für Wasserschäden haftet der
Aussteller.

5.3.5 Safety lighting
Additional safety lighting must be fitted in those
stands in which the generally available safety
lighting is ineffective owing to the stand design. This
additional lighting must be installed in such a way
as to ensure that persons can easily find the main
escape routes in the hall (refer also to VDE 0108).
5.4 Water and sewage connections
5.4.1 Connections
Generally water is supplied via a 1/2“ pipe and
discharged through a DN 50 waste outlet on the floor
within the stand area. Larger connections can be
supplied, provided this is technically possible and
an application is made in good time.
Connections to the supply and sewage networks as
well as the laying of pipes outside the stand and
generally in channels and shafts may be carried out
only by an authorized hall contractor. A stand layout
plan showing the placement of pipes and desired
locations of taps must be submitted with the order
form.
Commissioning will occur at the start of stand construction.

5.4.2 Installation

to install supply lines and fittings in his stand provided
that the pertinent regulations are observed.

authorized contractor is obliged not to connect the
stand to the supply network.
The exhibitor is responsible for any installations he

5.4.3 Installation and operation
Fresh water may be used in air-conditioning units
only for the cooling of refrigerating compressors. A
water meter must be fitted to measure the water consumption
of these air-conditioning units.
For safety reasons a water supply can be connected
to dishwashing machines only if they have a
built-in waste-water pump.
The water supply to mobile stands on the open-air
site cannot be guaranteed during periods of frost.
Before the stand is vacated the main stop valve must
be turned off. The exhibitor is liable for any damage
caused by water.

5.5 Druckluftinstallation
5.5.1 Anschlüsse
In den Hallen 11–17 und 25–27 gibt es ein zentrales
Druckluftnetz, an dem Druckluftanschlüsse bis zu
einer Nennweite von 11 /4“ möglich sind.
Anschlüsse an das Druckluftnetz sowie die Verlegung
von Leitungen außerhalb des Standes und in
messeeigenen Kanälen und Schächten dürfen nur
von den zugelassenen Halleninstallateuren der
Deutschen Messe AG ausgeführt werden.
Dem Bestellformular ist eine Grundrissskizze beizufügen,
aus der die Leitungsführung und die
gewünschte Platzierung der Anschlüsse ersichtlich
ist.
Die Inbetriebnahme erfolgt mit Beginn der Aufbauzeit.
Unmittelbar nach Messeschluß wird mit der
Außerbetriebnahme und Demontage begonnen.
Diese Arbeiten werden durch die Halleninstallateure
der Deutschen Messe AG ausgeführt.
5.5.2 Standinstallation
Im Stand dürfen Installationsarbeiten auch durch
eigene Fachkräfte des Ausstellers unter Beachtung
der gültigen Vorschriften ausgeführt werden.
Dem Halleninstallateur ist die selbstinstallierte Anlage
zur Abnahme zu melden. Die Abnahme ist
gebührenpflichtig. Bei Nichtbeachtung der gültigen
Installationsvorschriften ist der Halleninstallateur
verpflichtet, den Anschluss des Standes an die Messe-Versorgungsnetze
zu verweigern. Die Verantwortung
für die Selbstinstallation trägt der Aussteller.
5.5.3 Montage- und Betriebsvorschriften
Zum Schutz der Exponate empfehlen wir, Feinfilter
(gegebenenfalls Microfilter), Wasserabscheider,
Druckminderventil und Sicherheitsventil zu installieren.
Das Sicherheitsventil muss auf den geringeren
Druck eingestellt sein. Erforderliche Armaturen können
auch bei der Deutschen Messe AG gemietet
werden.
5.6 Maschinen-, Druckbehälter- und
Abgasanlagen
5.6.1 Maschinengeräusche
Der Betrieb lärmverursachender Maschinen und
Geräte soll im Interesse aller Aussteller und Besucher
möglichst eingeschränkt werden.
5.6.2 Gerätesicherheitsgesetz
Alle ausgestellten technischen Geräte und Maschinen
müssen die Anforderungen des Gerätesicherheitsgesetzes
erfüllen. Maschinen und Geräte, die
diesen Vorschriften nicht entsprechen, müssen ein
gut sichtbares Schild tragen, das darauf hinweist,
dass sie nicht den Anforderungen entsprechen und
erst erworben werden können, wenn die Übereinstimmung
hergestellt worden ist.
5.5 Compressed air installation
5.5.1 Connections
In hall 11 to 17 and 25 to 27 is a central compressed
air supply net, which allowes compressed air
connections up to 11 /4“.

In order to protect the exhibits, it is recommended
that a fine filter (if necessary a microfilter), water
separator, pressure reducing valve and a safety
valve be installed. The safety valve must be set to
the lower pressure. Any fittings that are required can
also be rented from Deutsche Messe AG.
5.6 Machines and pressure tank and
exhaust gas installations
5.6.1 Machine noise
The operation of noisy machines and equipment
should be avoided as far as possible in the interest
of visitors and other exhibitors.
5.6.2 Law on equipment safety
All machines and equipment on display must fulfil
the requirements as laid down in the European law
on equipment safety. Machines and equipment that
do not comply with this law must bear a label in full
view indicating that the exhibit does not fulfil the
requirements and so cannot be purchased until they
have been fulfilled.

Für technische Geräte und Arbeitsmittel, die das CE-
Zeichen führen, muss die entsprechende Konformitätserklärung
des Herstellers am Stand vorliegen.
5.6.2.1 Schutzvorrichtungen
Geräte und Maschinen dürfen nur dann in Betrieb
genommen werden, wenn diese entweder den Mindestvorschriften
für Sicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz
gemäß den gültigen EU-Richtlinien bzw. den
deutschen Unfallverhütungsvorschriften entsprechen
oder wenn ein Nachweis geführt wird, daß eine
Gefährdung von Personen ausgeschlossen ist.
Die Verwendung sicherer transparenter Abdeckungen
anstelle der normalen Schutzabdeckungen ist
erlaubt. Werden Geräte nicht in Betrieb genommen,
können die Schutzabdeckungen abgenommen werden,
sie sind jedoch neben der Maschine sichtbar
aufzustellen.
Lässt das Arbeitsvefahren die unmittelbare Anbringung
von Schutzeinrichtungen nicht zu, so sind entsprechende
Absperrungen und Gefahrenhinweise
anzubringen, damit Unbefugte den Gefahrenbereich
nicht betreten.
5.6.6.2 Berufsgenossenschaftliche Beratung
Die Berufsgenossenschaftliche Beratungsstelle
steht für alle Fragen der Unfallverhütung zur Verfügung.

5.6.3 Druckbehälter
Beim Aufstellen und Betreiben von Druckbehältern
oder Druckgasbehältern sind die staatlichen Vorschriften
wie die Druckbehälterverordnung (DbeVo)
sowie die Technischen Regeln Druckbehälter (TRB)
zu beachten.
5.6.4 Abgase und Dämpfe
Von Exponaten und Geräten abgegebene brennbare,
gesundheitsschädliche oder die Allgemeinheit
belästigende Dämpfe und Gase dürfen nicht in die
Hallen geleitet werden. Sie müssen über entsprechende
Rohrleitungen ins Freie abgeführt werden.
Die Vorgaben des Bundesimmissionsschutzgesetzes
sind zu beachten.
5.6.5 Abgas- und Feuerungsanlagen
Das Betreiben von Feuerungsanlagen wie z. B.
Ölfeuerungen, Gas- und Flüssigkeitsbrennern und
Kaminen bedarf der Genehmigung der Deutschen
Messe AG. Gleiches gilt für das Betreiben typenmäßig
zugelassener Dampfkesselanlagen.
Da das Betreiben dieser Anlagen nicht überall möglich
ist, muss vor Antragstellung mit dem technischen
Ausstellerservice der Deutschen Messe AG
Rücksprache genommen werden.

The manufacturer’s conformity declaration must be
available at the stand for any equipment and tools
that are marked with the CE symbol.
5.6.2.1 Safety measures
Equipment and machinery may be operated only if
they comply with at least the minimum requirements
for safety and health protection as laid down in the
currently valid EU guidelines, or they comply with the
German accident prevention regulations, or it can be
proved that there is no risk to visitors.
It is allowed to use safe, transparent covers instead
of the normal safety covers. If a machine is not to be
put into operation the safety covers may be removed,
however, they must be placed conspicuously
next to the machine.
If the operating procedure prohibits safety devices
being fixed around the machine, appropriate barriers
and warning signs must be set up to prevent
unauthorised persons entering the danger area
around the machine.
5.6.2.2 Employer liability advisory service
The employer liability advisory service will be
pleased to answer any questions on accident prevention.

5.6.3 Pressure tanks
When installing and operating pressure tanks and
pressurized gas containers, Germany’s official regulations
for pressure vessels (DbeVo) as well as Germany’s
Technical Regulations for Pressure Tanks
(TRB) must be observed.
5.6.4 Exhaust gases and vapours
Any flammable, hazardous or irritating vapours and
exhaust gases must not be released into the halls.
Such fumes must be carried by exhaust ducts outside
the halls. The regulations of the Federal Law on
Emissions must be observed at all times.
5.6.5 Exhaust and heating systems
The use of furnaces and heating systems such as
oil, gas and liquid-fuel fired burners and fireplaces
must be approved by Deutsche Messe AG. The
same applies to the operation of approved steam
boilers.
As these installations cannot be put to use everywhere,
it is necessary to contact the technical services
for Exhibitors dept. of Deutsche Messe AG before
submitting an application.

5.7 Verwendung von Druckgasen, Flüssiggasen
und brennbaren Flüssigkeiten
5.7.1 Druck- und Flüssiggasanlagen
Die Verwendung von Gasen ist der Deutschen Messe
AG schriftlich mit Angabe des Standortes mitzuteilen.
Die Installation von gasführenden Leitungen
und Anlagenteilen ist nur von nachweislich sachkundigen
Personen ausführen und dokumentieren
zu lassen.
Für Vorführungen darf nur der Tagesbedarf an Gas
auf der Standfläche bereitgestellt werden. Bei Propangas
darf die Flüssiggasmenge von 13 kg nicht
überschritten werden. Giftgase dürfen nicht verwendet
werden. Geeignete Feuerlöscher sind in ausreichender
Größe bereitzuhalten.
Werden gasbetriebene Exponate nicht in Betrieb
gezeigt, sind die vorhandenen Gasflaschen durch
leere zu ersetzen.
Beim Umgang mit Gasen und Gasflaschen sind die
Berufsgenossenschaftlichen Vorschriften zu beachten.
Dieses sind im Besonderen die BGV B6, B7, D1
und 2 sowie D34. Darüber hinaus ist die TRG anzuwenden.
Bei der Verwendung von Flüssiggas ist die TRF
1996, Band 1 und 2, zu beachten. Ergänzend gilt die
Berufsgenossenschaftliche Richtlinie ZH 1/455. Bei
der Verwendung von Wasserstoff ist die Berufsgenossenschaftliche
Richtlinie ZH 1/288 zu beachten.

5.7.2 Brennbare Flüssigkeiten
Die Verwendung von brennbaren Flüssigkeiten ist
der Deutschen Messe AG schriftlich mit Angabe des
Standortes anzuzeigen.
Die Installation von entsprechenden Anlagenteilen
ist nur von nachweislich sachkundigen Personen
ausführen zu lassen.
Für Vorführungen dürfen brennbare Flüssigkeiten in
Behältern nur für den Tagesbedarf auf der Standfläche
bereitgehalten werden.
Bei der Verwendung von brennbaren und wassergefährdenden
Flüssigkeiten ist die Verordnung über
brennbare Flüssigkeiten (VbF BGBI), die Verordnung
über wassergefährdene Stoffe (VAwS) sowie
aus der Explosionsschutzverordnung (ElexV) die 11.
Verordnung zum Gerätesicherheitsgesetz (GSG) zu
beachten. Des Weiteren sind die Berufsgenossenschaftlichen
Richtlinien ZH 1/75 und die Technischen
Regeln für brennbare Flüssigkeiten (TRbF)
einzuhalten.
Geeignete Feuerlöscher für Flüssigkeitsbrände sind
in ausreichender Größe bereitzuhalten.
5.7.3 Dampfkessel
Das Betreiben typenmäßig zugelassener Dampfkessel
ist der Deutschen Messe AG rechtzeitig mitzuteilen.
5.7 Use of pressurised gases, liquid gases
and flammable liquids
5.7.1 Pressurised and liquid gas systems
Deutsche Messe AG must be notified in writing if
gases are to be used; this must include the intended
location for use. The installation of pipes and
equipment that carry gas must only be undertaken
by suitably qualified contractors and must be documented.
Gas in cylinders may be stored in halls only if it is to
be used for demonstration purposes and provided
no more than the day’s requirements are stored. The
amount of propane gas stored may not exceed 13
kg. Poisonous gases may not be used. Suitable fire
extinguishers must be kept on site in case of fire.
If gas-operated exhibits are on static display, i.e. not
operated on the stand, empty gas cylinders must be
fitted.
The relevant accident liability insurance regulations
must be observed when using gas and compressed
gas cylinders, in particular the BGV B6, B7, D1 and
2 as well as D34. In addition, the TRG applies.
When using liquid gas, additional regulations (TRF
1996, volume 1 and 2) must be observed. The Accident
Liability Insurance Directive, ZH 1/455, also
applies.
When using hydrogen, the German Accident Liability
Insurance Directive, ZH 1/288, must be observed.

5.7.2 Flammable liquids
Deutsche Mese AG must be notified in writing if
flammable liquids are to be used; this must include
the intended location for use.
The installation of relevant equipment must only be
undertaken by suitably qualified contractors.
Flammable liquids may be stored in halls only if
required for demonstration purposes and provided
no more than the day’s requirements are stored.
When using flammable liquids or liquids that represent
an above-average water contamination risk, the
German Directive on Flammable Liquids (VbF
BGBI), the German Directive on Substances Representing
a Risk of Contaminating Water (VAwS), as
well as the 11th German Law on Equipment Safety
(GSG) from the German Directive on Explosion Protection
(ElexV), must be observed. Furthermore, the
German Accident Liability Insurance Directive, ZH
1/75, and the German Technical Regulations for
Flammable Liquids (TRbF) also apply.
Fire extinguishers suitable for dealing with burning
liquids must be kept on site in case of fire.
5.7.3 Steam boilers
Deutsche Messe AG must be notified in good time
if it is intended to use steam boilers of approved
design.

Lasern der Klassen 3 B oder 4, die im Rahmen einer
Produktpräsentation oder für werbliche Zwecke
(Lasershow) eingesetzt werden sollen, sind vor der
ersten Inbetriebnahme dem Staatlichen Gewerbeaufsichtsamt

5.10.3 Hochfrequenzgeräte, Funkanlagen,

6. Umweltschutz
Der Aussteller verpflichtet, dafür zu sorgen, dass
sämtliche den Umweltschutz betreffenden Bestimmungen
und Vorgaben auch von seinen Auftragnehmern
verbindlich eingehalten werden.
6.1 Abfallwirtschaft
Grundlagen für alle folgenden Regelungen sind die
Vorgaben des Kreislaufwirtschafts- und Abfallgesetzes
(KrW-/Abfg in der jeweils gültigen Fassung), die
dazugehörigen Ausführungsbestimmungen und

6. Environmental protection
The exhibitor is obliged to ensure that all persons
and third parties it employs observe the regulations
and instructions on environmental protection.
6.1 Handling Waste
All the following rules are based on the provisions
laid down in the latest versions of the laws governing
waste and recycling (KrW-/Abfg), and any related
instructions and regulations, as well as state laws

Satzungen. Der Aussteller ist verantwortlich
für die ordnungsgemäße und umweltverträgliche
Entsorgung der Abfälle, die bei Aufbau, Laufzeit und
Abbau seines Standes anfallen. Die technische
Abwicklung der Entsorgung zur Verwertung und
Beseitigung obliegt allein der Deutschen Messe AG
bzw. den von ihr ernannten Vertragspartnern.
6.1.1 Abfallentsorgung
Nach den Grundsätzen der Kreislaufwirtschaft sind
Abfälle auf Messeplätzen in erster Linie zu vermeiden.
Aussteller und deren Vertragspartner sind verpflichtet,
in jeder Phase der Veranstaltung wirkungsvoll
hierzu beizutragen. Dieses Ziel muss
bereits bei der Planung und in Kooperation aller
Beteiligten verfolgt werden. Generell sind für Standbau
und -betrieb wiederverwendbare und die
Umwelt möglichst wenig belastende Materialien einzusetzen.
Der Aussteller bzw. die von ihm beauftragte Standbaufirma
ist für die Reinigung und Abfallentsorgung
seines Standes während der Veranstaltung und für
die Entsorgung der beim Auf- und Abbau anfallenden
Abfälle verantwortlich und verpflichtet, für die
sortenreine Trennung der Abfälle nach wiederverwertbaren
Stoffen und Abfällen zur Deponierung
Sorge zu tragen.
Mit der fachgerechten Entsorgung von wiederverwendbaren
Stoffen (Wertstoffen) und Restabfällen,
die während seiner Messebeteiligung anfallen,
kann, wenn der Aussteller nicht beabsichtigt, diese
Abfälle selbst zu entsorgen, nur die Deutsche Messe
AG beauftragt werden, die sich ihrerseits eines
zugelassenen Entsorgungsunternehmens bedient.
Hierzu steht das im Serviceangebot enthaltene
Erkläungs- und Bestellformular zur Abfallentsorgung
5.70 zur Verfügung, das in jedem Fall ausgefüllt
zurückzusenden ist. Das gilt auch, wenn der
Aussteller beabsichtigt, das Abfallaufkommen selbst
zu entsorgen. Bei Beauftragung einer Messebaufirma
ist dieser eine Kopie des Formulars zu übermitteln.
Bei Selbstentsorgung über 5 t muss dem Aussteller
bzw. dem von ihm beauftragten Standbauunternehmen
bereits vor dem Entsorgungsvorgang eine
gültige Entsorgungsbestätigung vorliegen. Diese
Bestätigung ist zu beantragen bei der

6.1.2 Besonders überwachungsbedürftige
Abfälle
Der Aussteller ist verpflichtet, Abfälle, die nach Art,
Beschaffenheit oder Menge in besonderem Maße
gesundheits-, luft-, oder wassergefährdend, explosibel
oder brennbar sind (z. B. Batterien, Lacke,
Lösungsmittel, Schmierstoffe, Farben etc.) der Deutschen
Messe AG zu melden und deren ordnungsgemäße
Entsorgung durch den zuständigen Vertragspartner
zu veranlassen.

for the proper and environmentally acceptable disposal
of waste that he produces during the fair as
well as during the construction and dismantling of
his stand. The technical aspects of disposal for subsequent
recycling and so on are the sole responsibility
of Deutsche Messe AG or companies it has authorized.
6.1.1 Waste disposal
The principles of the recycling law put emphasis on
avoiding waste at exhibition and fair grounds. Exhibitors
and their contract partners are obliged to support
these principles to the utmost at all stages of the
event starting from the planning stage. As far as possible
recyclable materials that are the least harmful
to the environment must be used in the construction
and operation of stands.
The exhibitor or the company constructing his stand
is responsible for cleaning the stand during the
event and also for disposing of all waste produced
than as well as during stand construction and dismantling.
Moreover it is to be ensured that recyclable
and non-recyclable waste are suitably separated.
The proper disposal of recyclable materials (recoverable
materials) and residual waste that occurs
during the trade fair can only be carried out by Deutsche
Messe AG if the exhibitor does not intend to
dispose of this waste himself. Alternatively, Deutsche
Messe AG can subcontract this task out to a waste
disposal company. The services binder includes an
order form for waste disposal (Form 5.70), which
must be completed and returned to us even if the
exhibitor intends disposing of the waste himself. If a
company is commissioned to construct the stand, a
copy of this form must be forwarded to the said company.
If the exhibitor disposes the waste exceeding 5
tonnes himself, the exhibitor or company authorized
by him to construct the stand must be in possession
of valid waste disposal documents prior to disposing
of the waste. Such documents may be obtained

Any materials left behind will be disposed of at the
expense of the exhibitor without verifying the value
of the materials. In such cases a higher waste disposal
charge is applicable.
6.1.2 Hazardous Waste
The exhibitor is obliged to notify Deutsche Messe AG
of any waste that as a result of its nature, properties
or quantity represents an above average risk to
health or of contamination of the air or water, or is
explosive or combustible (e. g. batteries, varnishes,
solvents, lubricants and paints).
Small quantities of the above types of hazardous
waste may be disposed of in the special containers

Materialien für Abfälle, die nicht im Zusammenhang
mit dem Messebetrieb, Auf- oder Abbau entstehen,
dürfen nicht auf das Gelände gebracht werden.
6.2 Wasser, Abwasser, Bodenschutz
6.2.1 Öl-/Fettabscheider
Die Einleitung in das Abwassernetz dürfen die üblichen
Schadstoffmengen für Haushalte nicht übersteigen.
Sollten öl-/fetthaltige Abwässer eingeleitet
werden, welche diese Menge überschreiten, ist der
Einsatz von Öl-/Fettabscheidern notwendig. Beim
Einsatz mobiler Gastronomie ist darauf zu achten,
dass Fette und Öle gesondert aufgefangen und
einer getrennten Entsorgung zugeführt werden.
Gebrauchte Speisefette und -öle können kostenlos
den auf dem Messegelände zugelassenen Reinigungsfirmen
übergeben werden.
6.2.2 Reinigung/Reinigungsmittel
Reinigungsarbeiten sind grundsätzlich mit biologisch
abbaubaren Produkten durchzuführen. Reinigungsmittel,
die gesundheitsschädigende Lösungsmittel
enthalten, sind den Vorschriften entsprechend
nur im Ausnahmefall zu verwenden.
6.3 Umweltschäden
Umweltschäden/Verunreinigung (z. B. durch Benzin,
Öl, Lösungsmittel, Farbe) sind unverzüglich der
Deutschen Messe AG zu melden.
6.4 Hinterlassen der Ausstellungsflächen
nach Veranstaltungen
Die Ausstellungsfläche ist vom Aussteller in sauberem
Zustand spätestens bis zum Abbauende
zurückzugeben. Klebebänder, Farbreste u. a. müssen
rückstandsfrei entfernt sein. Die ordnungsgemäße
Rückgabe wird auf Antrag in der Halleninspektion
nach gemeinsamer Begehung mit dem
Beauftragten des Ausstellers schriftlich bestätigt.
Wurde die Ausstellungfläche nicht ordnungsgemäß
hinterlassen, wird die Deutsche Messe AG im Auftrag
des Veranstalters die Reinigung und Wiederherstellung
zu Lasten des Ausstellers vornehmen
lassen. Die Ausstellerhaftung für Unfälle und Folgeschäden
endet erst nach ordnungsgemäßer Reinigung
und Wiederherstellung.

6.1.3 Waste not connected to the event
Materials and waste that have not originated from
the trade fair activities may not be brought onto the
exhibition grounds.
6.2 Water, sewage and soil conservation
6.2.1 Oil and grease seperators
The disposal of pollutants via the sewage system is
not allowed above the pollutant level that is considered
normal for the housholds. If sewage containing
oil or grease above these normal levels is to be
disposed of, a suitable oil/grease sepertor must be
used.
Mobile catering services must ensure that oil and
grease are collected separately from other waste
and delivered to the appropriate disposal site. Used
edible oils and greases may be handed over free of
charge to the cleaning companies authorized to
operate on the exhibition grounds.
6.2.2 Cleaning/cleaning agents
All cleaning work is to be carried out using biodegradable
products. Cleaning agents containing solvents
that pose a health risk may be used only in
exceptional cases as laid down in the regulations.
6.3 Environmental pollution
Deutsche Messe AG must be notified immediately of
any environmental damage or pollution that occurs
(e.g. resultingfrom petrol, oil, solvents or paints).
6.4. Vacating exhibition areas after the end
of the event
The exhibitor must hand over his exhibition area in
a clean condition at the latest by the end of the dismantling
period. Adhesive tape, paint and so on
must be completely removed without leaving any
marks. On request the hall supervisor will inspect the
area together with the exhibitor´s representative and
confirm in writing the condition of the stand.
If the exhibition area is not left in a clean and proper
state Deutsche Messe AG on behalf of the organizer
will arrange for any cleaning and repair work
to be carried out at the expense of the exhibitor. The
exhibitor´s liability for accident and consequential
damage terminates only after cleaning and repairs
have been properly completed.

Ausstellung Nutzfahrzeuge ist der Verband der
Automobilindustrie e.V. (VDA), Westendstr. 61,
Frankfurt am Main.
2. Die Ausstellung wird vorbereitet und durchgeführt
in Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen
Messe AG, Messegelände, 30521 Hannover.
Ort und Dauer der Ausstellung
3. Die 59. Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung
Nutzfahrzeuge wird veranstaltet in Hannover auf
dem Gelände der Deutschen Messe AG.
4. Sie findet in der Zeit vom 12. bis 19. September
2002 für das allgemeine Publikum statt. Der 11.
September 2002 ist ausschließlich der Pressevorbesichtigung
vorbehalten. Wird die Ausstellung
vom Veranstalter verlegt, verkürzt oder
abgesagt, so können, außer der Rückzahlung
von Eintrittsgeldern, gegen den Veranstalter keine
Ersatzansprüche irgendwelcher Art hergeleitet
werden.
Öffnungszeiten
5. Die Ausstellung ist für Besucher von 9.00 bis
18.00 Uhr geöffnet. Der Veranstalter behält sich
vor, im Bedarfsfall die Öffnungszeiten vorzuverlegen.
6. Die vom Veranstalter zugelassenen Versorgungs-
und Dienstleistungsbetriebe und die
sonstigen Einrichtungen und Unternehmen sind
verpflichtet, während der vom Veranstalter
bekanntgegebenen Öffnungszeiten ihre Einrichtungen,
Anlagen und Räumlichkeiten einsatzbereit
und zugänglich zu halten, sofern nicht
vom Veranstalter andere Betriebs- und Öffnungszeiten
vorgeschrieben werden.
Auf- und Abbau
7. Das Ausstellungsgelände wird vom Veranstalter
am 31. August 2002 zur Vorbereitung der Ausstellung
übernommen. Mit diesem Tag beginnt
die Ausgestaltung des Geländes durch den Veranstalter.
Gleichzeitig kann mit dem Aufbau der
Ausstellungsstände und der sonstigen Einrichtungen
begonnen werden.
8. Alle Versorgungs- und Dienstleistungsbetriebe
und die sonstigen Einrichtungen und Unternehmen,
die vom Veranstalter für die Ausstellung
zugelassen sind, müssen die erforderlichen
Vorarbeiten bis zum 10. September 2002, 24.00
Uhr, abgeschlossen haben, sofern nicht andere
Termine vom Veranstalter vorgeschrieben sind.
9. Verpackungsmaterial, Abfälle usw. müssen bei
Abschluss der Aufbauzeit, d.h. bis zum 10. September
2002, 24.00 Uhr, entfernt sein. Der Veranstalter
ist berechtigt, nicht beseitigtes Material
auf Kosten und Gefahr des verantwortlichen
Unternehmens entfernen zu lassen.
House Rules
1. The 59th International Motor Show for Commercial
Vehicles is being organised by VDA e.V.,
the German Association of the Automotive Industry,
Westendstr. 61, Frankfurt am Main.
2. The exhibition will be prepared and held in cooperation
with Deutsche Messe AG, Messegelände,
30521 Hanover.
Exhibition Venue and Dates
3. The 59th International Motor Show for Commercial
Vehicles will be held in Hanover at the
exhibition grounds of Deutsche Messe AG.
4. It will be open to the general public from 12th to
19th September 2002. 11th September 2002
shall be set aside as the preview day for the
media. In the event that the organiser were to
postpone, cut short or cancel the exhibition, no
compensation claims of any kind, other than the
reimbursement of admission charges, could be
deduced.
Opening Times
5. The exhibition is open to visitors between 09.00
a.m. and 06.00 p.m. The organiser retains the
right to move the opening times forward if required.
6. The supply and service companies as well as
the other institutions and businesses admitted
by the organiser shall keep their facilities, installations
and rooms operational and accessible
during the opening times publicised by the
organiser unless the organiser stipulates other
operating and opening times.
Erection and Dismantling
7. The organiser shall take over the exhibition
grounds on 31st August 2002 in order to prepare
the exhibition. The organiser shall customise
the exhibition grounds from this date. At
the same time erection of the exhibition stands
and other facilities may commence.
8. All supply and service companies as well as the
other institutions and businesses admitted by
the organiser must have completed the required
preliminary works by midnight on 10th September
2002, unless the organiser has stipulated
other deadlines.
9. Packaging material, waste etc. must be removed
by the end of the erection period, i.e. by midnight
on 10th September 2002. The organiser
may require any material which has not been
removed to be taken away at the risk and cost
of the company responsible.

10. Die Räumung des Ausstellungsgeländes beginnt
am 19. September 2002, 19.00 Uhr, und
muss bis 24. September 2002, 24.00 Uhr, beendet
sein. Die Fahrstraßen müssen unmittelbar
nach Schluss der Ausstellung von Verkaufsständen,
Vorräten und dergleichen freigemacht
werden. Stände und Räumlichkeiten, die vom
Veranstalter den Versorgungs- und Dienstleistungsbetrieben
und den sonstigen Einrichtungen
und Unternehmen zur Verfügung gestellt
wurden, müssen sich bei Rückgabe indem
ursprünglichen Zustand befinden.
11. Der Veranstalter ist berechtigt, auf Kosten und
Gefahr der verantwortlichen Unternehmen den
ursprünglichen Zustand wiederherzustellen und
nicht rechtzeitig entfernte Gegenstände, Materialien
und Abfälle beseitigen zu lassen.
Eintrittsausweise
12. Das Ausstellungsgelände darf vom 11. September
2002, 0.00 Uhr, bis 19. September 2002,
19.00 Uhr, nur mit den vom Veranstalter vorgeschriebenen
Eintrittsausweisen und an den
dafür vorgesehenen Einlassstellen betreten
werden.
13. Der Veranstalter richtet im „IC“ das IAA-Ausstellungsbüro
ein, das für alle Fragen der Einund
Auslassregelung und der Eintrittausweise
zuständig ist.
14. Vom Veranstalter zugelassene Versorgungsund
Dienstleistungsbetriebe sowie sonstige Einrichtungen
und Unternehmen können Eintrittsausweise
nur im IAA-Ausstellungsbüro beantragen.
Dies gilt für kostenlose und kostenpflichtige
Ausweise.
15. Die Einzelheiten über die Ein- und Auslassregelung
und über die Eintrittsausweise sind
durch den Veranstalter in den „Organisatorischen
und technischen Richtlinien“ geregelt.
Sie bilden einen Bestandteil dieser Betriebsund
Hausordnung.
Hausrecht
16. Vom Beginn des Aufbaues bis zur Beendigung
des Abbaues, d.h. vom 31. August 2002 bis 24.
September 2002, steht dem Veranstalter aufgrund
seines mit der Deutschen Messe AG
abgeschlossenen Vertrages das Hausrecht auf
dem Ausstellungsgelände zu.
17. Der Veranstalter behält sich vor, Unternehmen
und Personen, die gegen die Betriebs- und
Hausordnung verstoßen, insbesondere Personen,
die ohne Eintrittsausweis oder unter missbräuchlicher
Benutzung von Eintrittausweisen
angetroffen werden, vom Ausstellungsgelände
zu verweisen und gegebenenfalls Eintrittsausweise
entschädigungslos einzuziehen.
Sicherheitsbestimmungen
18. Die Verpflichtung zur Beachtung aller feuer-,
bau- und gewerbepolizeilichen Vorschriften
sowie aller berufsgenossenschaftlichen Unfall-

by sales stands, stock and similar items as
soon as the exhibition closes. When handed
back, stands and rooms which the organiser
has made available to the supply and service
companies and the other institutions and businesses
must have been returned to their original
condition.
11. The organiser is entitled to get the original condition
restored at the risk and cost of the company
responsible and to order items, materials
and waste not removed on time to be taken
away.
Entrance Passes
12. Between midnight on 11th September 2002 and
07.00 p.m. on 19th September 2002 access to
the exhibition grounds shall only be granted to
holders of the entrance passes stipulated by the
organiser and at the access points provided for
his purpose.
13. The organiser shall set up the IAA exhibition office
at the “IC“. This office shall be responsible
for all matters relating to access to and leave
from the exhibition grounds as well as for the
entrance passes.
14. The supply and service companies as well as
the other institutions and businesses admitted
by the organiser may only apply for entrance
passes at the IAA exhibition office. This applies
to all entrance passes, irrespective of whether
or not they are free of charge.
15. Details of the regulations concerning access to
and leave from the exhibition grounds as well
as information about the entrance passes have
been set out by the organiser in the “Organisational
and Technical Guidelines“. These form an
integral part of these House Rules.
Authority
16. From the start of erection until the completion of
dismantling, i.e. from 31st August 2002 until
24th September 2002, the organiser under his
contract with Deutsche Messe AG enjoys full
authority in respect of the exhibition grounds.
17. The organiser reserves the right to evict from the
exhibition grounds and, where appropriate,
withdraw entrance passes without compensation
from companies and persons who act in
breach of the House Rules and in particular
from persons who are either found not to carry
an entrance pass or who are making improper
use of entrance passes.
Safety Regulations
18. All supply and service companies, the other
institutions and businesses admitted by the
organiser as well as persons engaged in a com-

sonstige Einrichtungen und
Unternehmen sowie Personen, die gewerbliche
Tätigkeit auf dem Gelände ausüben, auch als
Verpflichtung gegenüber dem Veranstalter.
19. Fahrzeuge, die mit leicht flüchtigen Kraftstoffen
(Benzin, Benzol, Flüssiggas) betrieben werden,
dürfen nicht mit eigener Kraft in die Hallen einfahren.
Für in Hallen mittels Gabelstaplern
durchzuführende Transporte sind ausschließlich
die Ausstellungsspediteure zuständig.
20. Der Veranstalter ist berechtigt, sich jederzeit von
der Einhaltung der Ziff. 18 und 19 zu überzeugen.
Bei Zuwiderhandlungen ist der Veranstalter
berechtigt, den ordnungswidrigen Zustand
auf Kosten und Gefahr des verantwortlichen
Betriebes oder Unternehmens beseitigen zu
lassen.
21. Es ist Besuchern des IAA-Geländes untersagt,
Rollschuhe, Skateboards, Roller, Roller-Skates
u.a. zur Fortbewegung zu benutzen. Ebenso ist
das Mitführen von Hunden und anderen Haustieren
untersagt.
Haftung
22. Versorgungs- und Dienstleistungsbetriebe sowie
sonstige vom Veranstalter zugelassene Einrichtungen
und Unternehmen haften über die
gesetzliche Haftung hinaus für alle Schäden, die
durch Nichtbeachtung behördlicher Vorschriften,
der Betriebs- und Hausordnung oder
besonderer Anordnungen des Veranstalters
entstehen.
23. Sie haften dem Veranstalter auch für alle Schäden,
die durch Vorsatz oder Fahrlässigkeit ihrer
Angestellten oder sonstigen Beauftragten entstehen,
wie für eigenes Verschulden.
24. Der Veranstalter haftet den Versorgungs- und
Dienstleistungsbetrieben sowie sonstigen vom
Veranstalter zugelassenen Einrichtungen und
Unternehmungen und deren Personal während
des Aufenthaltes oder der Unterbringung auf
dem Ausstellungsgelände einschließlich der
Hallen nur für aus dem Betrieb der Ausstellung
entstehende Schäden soweit sie von ihm, seinen
Erfüllungsgehilfen oder Angestellten verursacht
werden. Demnach wird beispielsweise für
Schäden, die durch Diebstahl oder durch Mängel,
die dem Bereich der Geländeeigentümerin
zuzurechnen sind, oder durch ähnliche Ursachen
entstehen, kein Ersatz geleistet. Die persönliche
Haftung der Angestellten und Erfüllungsgehilfen
des Veranstalters wird außer im
Fall von Vorsatz ausgeschlossen.
Werbung und Anbieten von Waren und
Leistungen
25. Werbung auf dem Ausstellungsgelände sowie
das Anbieten von Waren und Leistungen ist nur
mit schriftlicher Genehmigung des Veranstalters
gestattet. Meinungsbefragungen sind nicht
zulässig.

observe all fire, building and trading regulations
as well as all accident prevention regulations
issued by the appropriate professional trade
association, also by way of an obligation
towards the organiser.
19. Vehicles which run on highly volatile fuels
(petrol, benzole, liquid gas) may not be driven
into the halls under their own steam. Any conveyance
to be undertaken by forklift truck inside
the halls is the sole responsibility of the exhibition
carriers.
20. The organiser may at any time reassure himself
that Rules 18 and 19 are observed. In the event
of an infringement, the organiser may get the
irregular state put right at the risk and cost of
the business or company responsible.
21. Visitors to the IAA grounds are not allowed to
use inline skates, skateboards, kickboards, roller
blades etc. Dogs and other pets are not
admitted.
Liability
22. The supply and service companies as well as
the other institutions and businesses admitted
by the organiser shall be liable, over and above
the statutory liability, for any damage caused
through the non-observance of official regulations,
the House Rules or special instructions
issued by the organiser.
23. They shall also be liable to the organiser for any
damage caused through wrongful intent or negligence
by their employees or other agents as
though it had been their own fault.
24. The organiser shall only be liable to the supply
and service companies as well as the other
institutions and businesses admitted by the
organiser and their personnel during their stay
or period of accommodation on the exhibition
grounds including the halls for damage arising
from the operation of the exhibition where this
has been caused by the organiser, his agents
or employees.
Hence no compensation shall, for example, be
offered in respect of damage caused through
theft or through defects within the site owner’s
sphere or through similar causes. Except in
cases of wrongful intent, any personal liability
on the part of the organiser’s employees and
agents shall be excluded.
Advertising and Offer of Goods and Services
25. The organiser’s written permission is required in
respect of any advertising on the exhibition
grounds as well as the offer of goods and services.
No opinion surveys may be conducted.

26. Personen, die ohne Genehmigung des Veranstalters
oder unter Nichtbeachtung der ihnen
vom Veranstalter bei Erteilung der Genehmigung
gemachten Auflagen und Bedingungen
auf dem Ausstellungsgelände Werbung treiben,
Waren oder Dienstleistungen anbieten oder
Bestellungen aufnehmen, werden vom Ausstellungsgelände
verwiesen. Ihre Eintrittsausweise
werden entschädigungslos eingezogen bzw.
elektronisch gesperrt.
Bewachung
27. Das Ausstellungsgelände wird vom Beginn des
Aufbaues bis zur Beenigung des Abbaues im
Auftrag des Veranstalters überwacht.
28. Versorgungs- und Dienstleistungsbetriebe sowie
sonstige vom Veranstalter zugelassene Einrichtungen
und Unternehmen können zusätzliche
Vereinbarungen über die Bewachung ihrer
eingebrachten Sachen treffen.
Fahrzeugverkehr auf dem Gelände
29. Während der Auf- und Abbauzeit ist das Befahren
des Ausstellungsgeländes mit Kraftfahrzeugen
gestattet. Der Veranstalter behält sich vor,
den Fahrzeugverkehr zu beschränken oder
auszuschließen, soweit es im Interesse eines
ordnungsgemäßen Auf- und Abbaues der Ausstellung
oder mit Rücksicht auf Sicherheitsbestimmungen
erforderlich ist.
30. Alle während der Aufbauzeit auf dem Gelände
eingesetzten Fahrzeuge müssen bis zum 10.
September 2002, 24.00 Uhr, das Ausstellungsgelände
verlassen haben.
31. Während der Ausstellung darf das Gelände nur
von Versorgungsfahrzeugen in dem unbedingt
erforderlichen Ausmaß und nur mit einer besonderen
Genehmigung des Veranstalters befahren
werden.
32. Fahrzeuge, die entgegen den Anweisungen des
Veranstalters oder unter Verstoß gegen Ziffer 29
bis 31 auf dem Ausstellungsgelände angetroffen
werden, können auf Kosten und Gefahr des
Fahrzeughalters abgeschleppt werden. Abgeschleppte
Fahrzeuge werden nur zwischen 8.00
und 18.00 Uhr gegen Vorlage des Fahrzeugscheins
und Zahlung der entstandenen Auslagen
herausgegeben.
Reinhaltung des Ausstellungsgeländes
33. Alle vom Veranstalter zugelassenen Versorgungs-
und Dienstleistungsbetriebe und sonstigen
Einrichtungen und Unternehmen sind für
die Reinigung ihrer Räumlichkeiten und der
ihnen zur Ausübung ihrer Tätigkeit überlassenen
Plätze verantwortlich.

26. Persons who, without the organiser’s permission
or failing to observe the rules and regulations
stipulated by the organiser when granting
such permission, advertise, offer goods and services
or solicit orders shall be evicted from the
exhibition grounds by the organiser. Their entrance
passes shall be withdrawn without compensation
or invalidated electronically.
Guards
27. The organiser shall ensure that the exhibition
grounds are guarded from the start of erection
to the completion of dismantling.
28. The supply and service companies as well as
the other institutions and businesses admitted
by the organiser may make additional arrangements
to ensure that the items which they have
brought to the exhibition grounds are guarded.
Vehicle Traffic on the Exhibition Grounds
29. Motor vehicle access to the exhibition grounds
is available during the erection and dismantling
period. The organiser reserves the right to
restrict or ban vehicle traffic where this is necessary
in the interests of a smooth erection and
dismantling of the exhibition or with a view to
the safety regulations.
30. All vehicles deployed on the grounds during the
erection period must have left the exhibition grounds
by midnight on 10th September 2002.
31. During the exhibition access to the grounds
shall be restricted to supply vehicles on vital
business and carrying a special permit issued
by the organiser.
32. Vehicles encountered on the exhibition grounds
contrary to the organiser’s instructions or in
breach of Rules 29 to 31 may be towed away at
the vehicle keeper’s cost and risk. Vehicles
which have been towed away shall only be
released between 8.00 a.m. and 06.00 p.m. on
presentation of the vehicle registration document
and against payment of the costs incurred.
Keeping the Exhibition Grounds Tidy
33. The supply and service companies as well as
the other institutions and businesses admitted
by the organiser are responsible for cleaning
their premises and the sites which they were
assigned for carrying out their business.
