Dieser Kurs befasst sich im Detail mit
dem Betrieb von Netzwerken, in denen
das Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
eingesetzt wird. Dabei liegt ein Schwerpunkt
auf den Routern der Brocade
NetIron-Serie, einschließlich vielfältiger
fortgeschrittener L2 / L3 VPN-Technologien,
wie z.B. VLL, VPLS und L3 VPNs. Der
Kurs behandelt MPLS-Konzepte, deren
Vorteile, Protokolle, Planung, Konfiguration
und die grundlegenden Fehlersuche.
MPLS 400 ist ein Kurs aus einem Curriculum,
das den Teilnehmer auf die Zertifizierung
als Brocade Certified Service
Provider Network Engineer (BCSPNE) vorbereitet.
Weiterhin ist die Teilnahme an
diesem Kurs Voraussetzung zum Besuch
von Schulungen zu Brocade University
MPLS Traffic Engineering.

study of the Layer 4 through 7 features
of Brocade ServerIron ADX products. The
student gains hands-on experience in
configuration of typical installations with
the ServerIron product. Lecture topics are
supported with real world labs involving:
Source NAT, Direct Server Return, Active-
Active Server Load Balancing, and Global
Server Load Balancing (GSLB).

• Identify where Brocade ServerIron ADX products
are used in a typical data network.
• Describe the core functions and capabilities
of the ADX GUI.
• Configure the ServerIron ADX in Layer 4
through 7 SLB applications using the CLI or
GUI.
• Incorporate fault tolerance and high availability
at:
• The local level with multiple servers that failover.
• The public address level with multiple Virtual
IP addresses (VIPs) that failover.
• The global level with multiple business sites
that failover.
• Implement policy-based switching keying
on cookies or URL parsing using CSW.
• Implement GSLB with and without an authoritative
DNS server.

This advanced course provides an in-depth
study of Server Load Balancing (SLB) using
Brocade ADX ServerIron products. The
course focuses on advanced techniques of
implementing SLB in a variety of network
topologies. It includes an intense study of
SLB theory of operations, configuration,
network design and troubleshooting. The
course is lab-intensive and as result, fastmoving.
Key topics include, but are not
limited to; Load Balancing, Global Server
Load Balancing (GSLB), SSL, High Availability
(HA) and Layer 7 switching. This course
teaches and reinforces a majority of
the skills necessary for Brocade Certified
Layer 4-7 Professional (BCLP).

the Brocade IP Networking products.
• Implement advanced designs and configurations
in Server Load Balancing (SLB).
• Implement a Basic SLB design.

fast Active-Active failover and thus HA.
• Determine the appropriate SLB design for a
given network.
• Implement the Packet Capture feature.
• Describe and implement SSL framework.
• Identify key security issues and implement

• Discuss and implement GSLB and Route
Health Injection (RHI).
• Prepare for the Brocade Cert. Layer 4 –7 Professional
