DAS STAR-SYSTEM BEHERRSCHT DIE FILMINDUSTRIE<br />
Die Filmtechnologie entwickelte sich unaufhörlich weiter bis zur indischen Unabhängigkeit im Jahr<br />
1947. Mit der Unabhängigkeit kam die Teilung des Landes und einige Filmemacher wanderten ins<br />
heutige Pakistan aus. Dies war die Zeit, in der auch wieder viele Filmstudios von der Bildfläche<br />
verschwanden. Gleichzeitig entwickelte sich langsam das Star-System in der Filmindustrie. Stars wie<br />
Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand und Raj Kapoor eroberten die Leinwand und die Filme entwickelten sich mehr<br />
und mehr in die Richtung, dass der Star mehr als die Story die Leinwand beherrschte und Zuschauer in<br />
die Kinos lockte. Zudem entstand in Indien das erste eigene Filmfestival, das International Film Festival<br />
of India. In dieser Zeit entstanden Klassiker der indischen Filmgeschichte wie „Pather Panchali“,<br />
„Pyaasa“, „Andaz“, „Kagaz Ke Phool“ und „Mother India“.<br />
