BOLLYWOOD GOES GLOBAL<br />
Das 21. Jahrhundert eroberte das Indische Kino mit Filmen wie „Lagaan“, „Monsoon Wedding“, „Bend<br />
It Like Beckham“ und „Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham“, vier Filme die das Indische Kino endgültig<br />
globalisierten und auch dafür sorgten, dass Bollywood auch in Deutschland mehr Beachtung und<br />
Anhänger fand. Zu der Zeit dieser Globalisierung etablierte sich der Begriff „Bollywood“ als Synonym<br />
für das Hindi-Cinema. Anfänglich fand der Begriff noch wenig Akzeptanz bei den indischen Filmemachern,<br />
doch der Erfolg Bollywoods sprach für sich. Stars wie Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan<br />
und Amitabh Bachchan eroberten nun nicht mehr nur die indischen Leinwände, sondern die Kinoleinwände<br />
weltweit. Eine neue Fangemeinschaft entstand.<br />
