Über raschungen bereit. Livia, die als Schweizerin<br />
in Deutschland lebt, wird für ihren<br />
leiblichen Sohn einen Schweizerpass bekommen,<br />
für ihre adoptierte Tochter wahrscheinlich<br />
nicht. «Dabei sind die beiden auch<br />
gesetzlich zu 100 % meine Kinder», sagt sie.<br />
Die gesetzlichen Voraussetzungen<br />
sind also auch in Zeiten der Ehe für alle<br />
noch <strong>im</strong>mer alles andere als ideal. Und<br />
leider reklamieren <strong>im</strong>mer wieder selbsternannte<br />
Sittenwächter den politischen<br />
Diskurs für sich. Ob jemand sich zum Elternsein<br />
eignet, entscheiden schliesslich ganz<br />
andere Faktoren als die sexuelle Neigung.<br />
Argumente der Gegner, die das vermeintliche<br />
Kindswohl <strong>im</strong> Blick haben, entbehren<br />
jeder Logik, wenn man bedenkt, dass jedermann,<br />
der dazu biologisch in der Lage ist,<br />
ohne Brief und Siegel Kinder in die Welt setzen<br />
darf. Gerade homosexuelle Paare gehen<br />
oftmals viel reflektierter an das Thema Kinder<br />
heran als manch ein anderer, sind sie<br />
doch von vornherein dazu gezwungen, sich<br />
aktiv mit der Frage auseinanderzusetzen.<br />
Trotzdem sehen sich gleichgeschlechtliche<br />
Eltern oftmals genötigt zu beweisen<br />
oder zu erklären, dass es ihrem Kind nicht<br />
schlechter geht als anderen. Studien zur Lebenssituation<br />
von Queerkids helfen aufzuklären,<br />
das ist gut. Ihre Existenz zeigt jedoch<br />
gleichzeitig auf, dass wir noch nicht an dem<br />
Punkt sind, Vorurteile, die auf veralteten Moralvorstellungen<br />
basieren, ad acta zu legen.<br />
Dass man die Entwicklung der Geschlechtsidentität<br />
und Persönlichkeit von diesen Kindern<br />
überhaupt speziell untersuchen muss,<br />
ist schliesslich und endlich Beweis für tiefsitzende<br />
Ängste in der Gesellschaft. «Es ist ja<br />
mittlerweile auch für die Kritiker unseres<br />
Familienmodells wissenschaftlich belegt,<br />
dass sich die sexuelle Orien tierung der Eltern<br />
nicht auf die Kinder auswirkt.,» so Livia.<br />
