EUROAVIOnICS
Die Firma EuroAvionics Navigationssysteme
GmbH & Co. KG ist führend in
der Entwicklung und Fertigung digitaler
Navigationssysteme für Hubschrauber
und Flugzeuge. Das von Sven Bogner
geführte Unternehmen setzt fast
ausschließlich auf regionale Zulieferer.
Seit Januar 2010 hat sich EuroAvionics
in Pforzheim niedergelassen. Neben
der Zertifizierung und Endmontage
setzt man verstärkt auf die Weiterentwicklung
von Navigationssystemen
und konzentriert sich auf die Umsetzung
von Kundenwünschen.
Aktuell sind mehr als 1.600
fliegende Systeme weltweit im
Einsatz. Rund 80 Prozent der
Geräte werden an die größten
Hubschrauberhersteller geliefert.
Begonnen hat alles damit, dass 1993
der Firmengründer, ein Hubschrauberpilot,
bei einem Flug selbst in eine Notsituation
geriet. Wenig später wurde
daraus die Geschäftsidee geboren, aus
der die Firma EuroAvionics entstand.
Mit einem Entwicklungsteam, bestehend
aus einem Soft- und einem Hardwareingenieur,
wurde die erste Generation
von Navigationssystemen für
Hubschrauber überhaupt entwickelt.
In der Zwischenzeit ist die Mehrheit
der Luftrettungs- und Polizeihubschrauber
in Europa mit einem System
von EuroAvionics ausgestattet. Brandbekämpfungs-
oder Transportflugzeuge
nutzen ebenfalls die technische
Vielseitigkeit und hohe Flexibilität des
Systems. Zu den größten deutschen
Kunden zählen die Bundespolizei und
die Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht
(DRF). Auch zahlreiche Betreiber von
VIP- und Militärhubschraubern haben
EuroAvionics Navigationssysteme
GmbH & Co. KG is leading in development
and manufacture of digital navigation
systems for helicopters and
fixed-wing aircrafts. The company almost
solely relies on regional suppliers.
EuroAvionics located in Pforzheim
since January 2010. Besides certification
and final assembly the company
increasingly focuses on the advancement
of navigation systems and concentrates
on the realization of customer
requests.
Meanwhile the majority of air rescue and
police helicopters in Europe are
equipped with a system of EuroAvionics.
Fire-fighting and transport aircrafts
likewise utilize the technical versatility
and high flexibility of the system. The
federal police (Bundespolizei) and the
German air rescue (Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht
DRF) count among the largest
German customers. Numerous operators
of VIP and military helicopters
decided in favour of a system of
EuroAvionics as well.
It all started when in 1993 the founder
of the company, a helicopter pilot, got
into an emergency situation himself
during flight. Hence the business idea
was born soon after out of which
EuroAvionics arose. Along with a development
team consisting of one hardware
and one software engineer, the
first generation of navigation systems
for helicopters was designed after all.
More than 1.600 flying systems are currently
in use worldwide. Roughly 80 per
cent of the devices are delivered to the
largest helicopter manufacturers such
as Eurocopter, AgustaWestland or
Sikorsky. The company was also able to
successfully establish itself in the fixedwing
market and counts – among others
– the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer
Embraer among its customers. In re-
