Internetangebot<br />
Unter www.destatis.de bietet das Statistische Bundesamt ein ständig aktuell<br />
gehaltenes Informationsangebot in deutscher und englischer Sprache an. Sie<br />
finden dort u. a.<br />
- tagesaktuelle Pressernitteilungen mit den neuesten statistischen Ergebnissen,<br />
- aktuelle Wirtschafts- und Konjunkturdaten,<br />
- Basisdaten aus allen Bereichen der amtlichen Statistik,<br />
- Zugang zu Online-Datenerhebungen, zum Statistik-Shop und zur Datenbank<br />
GENESIS-Online,<br />
- Zugriff auf europäische Statistiken unter www.eds-destatis.de sowie<br />
- Links zu den Angeboten der anderen statistischen Ämter in Deutschland,<br />
der EU und weltweit sowie zu denen der internationalen Organisationen.<br />
Publikationen<br />
Im Internet steht für Sie ein Gesamtkatalog bereit, der Auskunft über alle<br />
Publikationen des Statistischen Bundesamtes gibt. Im Einzelnen enthält er<br />
Titel und Kurzbeschreibung aller gedruckten und elektronischen Publikationen<br />
des Statistischen Bundesamtes. Generell folgen auf den Titel der Veröffentlichung<br />
die Erscheinungsweise, der Umfang und ggf. der Preis.<br />
Daneben ist für jede Publikation ersichtlich, ob sie gedruckt, als CD-ROM<br />
oder als Download erhältlich ist. Bei den »Zusammenfassenden Veröffentlichungen«<br />
erfolgt zusätzlich eine kurze Inhaltsangabe.<br />
Genauere Angaben zu den zu einem bestimmten Fachgebiet erschienenen<br />
aktuelleren Publikationen finden Sie jeweils am Ende der einzelnen Kapitel<br />
des Statistischen Jahrbuchs unter der Bezeichnung »Publikationen und Auskünfte«.<br />
Statistik-Shop<br />
Der Statistik-Shop ist die elektronische Vertriebsplattform für den Bezug von<br />
Publikationen des Statistischen Bundesamtes. Unter www.destatis.de/shop<br />
können Sie auch gedruckte Veröffentlichungen und CD-ROMs online bestellen.<br />
Die meisten Publikationen stehen direkt und kostenlos zum Download<br />
bereit.<br />
Registrierten Kunden steht eine Zusatzoption zur Verfügung, um sich über<br />
jede Neuausgabe eines Produktes per E-Mail benachrichtigen zu lassen.<br />
Wenn Sie Interesse an tief gegliederten Daten zu speziellen Themengebieten<br />
haben, sind die Tabellen der so genannten Fachserien für Sie das Richtige.<br />
Der Statistik-Shop stellt die einzelnen Fachserien als Download kostenlos zur<br />
Verfügung. Hinweise zu den zu einem bestimmten Fachgebiet erschienenen<br />
Fachserien finden Sie jeweils am Ende der einzelnen Kapitel des Statistischen<br />
Jahrbuchs sowie im Gesamtkatalog.<br />

Im statistischen Informationssystem GENESIS-Online können Sie sich unter<br />
www.destatis.de/genesis aus über 120 amtlichen Statistiken mit über<br />
38Mill. Werten Daten auf Ihren individuellen Bedarfzuschneiden, abrufen<br />
und in verschiedenen Formaten auf Ihrem PC speichern. GENESIS-Online<br />
ermöglicht insbesondere die Darstellung von Entwicklungen im Zeitablauf.<br />
Länder- und regionale Daten bietet Ihnen die Datenbank GENESIS-Online<br />
Regional unter www.regionalstatistik.de/genesis.<br />

Information offered on the Internet<br />
At www.destatis.de, the Federal Statistical Office provides a large variety of<br />
continuously updated information in the German and English languages.<br />
Among other things, you may access:<br />
- press releases of the day encompassing the latest Statistical results,<br />
- current economic and short-term data,<br />
- basic data from all fields of official statistics,<br />
- online data collection Systems, the Statistics Shop and the GENESIS-<br />
Online database,<br />
- European statistics at www.eds-destatis.de, and<br />
- links to data offered by other Statistical Offices in <strong>Germany</strong>, the EU and<br />
the world and also by international organisations.<br />
Publications<br />
The internet-based Publications Catalogue includes information on all<br />
publications of the Federal Statistical Office. It lists the individual titles and<br />
gives a brief description of both the printed and electronic publications ofthe<br />
Office. Typically, a listed title is followed by information on the periodicity of<br />
publication, the number of pages and, if intended for sale, also the price of<br />
the publication. Furthermore, it is indicated whether a publication is<br />
available in printed form, on CD-ROM or as a download. With res pect to<br />
»Summary publications«, the content is additionally outlined briefly.<br />
The more recent publications in a specific subject area are specified under<br />
the headline »Publications and information« at the end of the relevant<br />
chapter ofthe Statistical<strong>Yearbook</strong>.<br />
Statistics Shop<br />
The Statistics Shop is the electronic platform for distributing the publications<br />
of the Federal Statistical Office. At www.destatis.de/shop you may as well<br />
place online ordere for publications in printed form or on CD-ROM. However,<br />
most ofthe publications are available as free downloads.<br />
Registered users may benefit from an additional Service, i. e., being notified<br />
of each new edition of a product by e-mail.<br />
If you are interested in detailed data of specific subject fields, the tables of<br />
the so-called subject-matter series supply what you are looking for. The<br />
individual series are accessible as free downloads via the Statistics Shop. At<br />
the end of each chapter ofthe Statistical <strong>Yearbook</strong> and in the Publications<br />
Catalogue, there is information on the subject-matter series published for a<br />
given subject area.<br />

Online databases<br />
GENESIS-Online is a Statistical information System which encompasses well<br />
over 38 million values in more than 120 different statistics. This System,<br />
which you may access at www.destatis.de/genesis, gives you the opportunity<br />
to retrieve and störe data exactly tailored to your needs in various formats on<br />
your PC. In particular, GENESIS-Online allows you to follow trends over time.<br />
Data for the Länder and regional levels can be retrieved from the GENESIS-<br />
Online Regional database to be accessed at www.regionalstatistik.de/<br />
genesis.<br />
