RF & Wireless
during the design process for cavity resonance
disruption, surface wave attenuation,
reflection loss or insertion loss. Featuring
RF absorbing elastomers, RF absorbing
foam, and Suppress-n-Sink, RF Absorber +
Thermally Conductive pad material, the kit
provides solutions for a wide range of applications
including concealment, electronic
enclosures, antenna systems, wireless networking
equipment, test and measurement
systems, millimeter wave technologies and
PIM reduction.
Durable elastomeric material is flexible
and will not crack, even in outdoor environments.
Foam products are lightweight
and broad band. Halogen free and RoHS
compliant, the materials are electrically
non-conductive and can be placed in direct
contact with electronic circuits. MAST
70 Watt GaN Amplifier
RFMW, Ltd. announced design and sales
support for a broad bandwidth, GaN, solid
state power amplifier from Aethercomm.
Model Number SSPA 0.020-6.000-70 operates
from 20 MHz to 6 GHz and delivers a
typical saturated output power of 70 W for
broad band T&M, military and commercial
applications. Typical small signal gain is
50 to 60 dB with gain flatness of +/-3 dB.
Operating from a 28 V supply, this amplifier
includes an external DC blanking command
that enables and disables the module in
less than 25 µsec. Standard features include
over/under voltage protection and reverse
polarity protection. The SSPA 0.020-6.000-
70 is offered in a modular housing that is
approximately 5.5” (width) by 6.5” (long)
by 2” (height).
75 Ohm FTTH Amplifiers
RFMW, Ltd. announced design and sales
support for a pair of 75 ohm Amplifiers.
Qorvo’s QPB7420 and QPB7425 ICs are
designed to support Fiber to The Home
(FTTH) applications from 47 to 1218 MHz.
Both devices offer noise figure of 1.1 dB.
The QPB7420 is a 5 V device with 20 dB of
flat gain. The QPB7425 operates on 8 V with
25 dB of gain. Both devices are packaged
as SOT-89 for convenient layout and design
in set top and 75 ohm CATV and satellite
infrastructure projects.
RFMW Celebrates 15 Year
Anniversary
RFMW, Ltd. marked July 1, 2018 as the
15-year anniversary of their company.
With worldwide headquarters in San
Jose, CA. and sales offices throughout
North America, Europe, the Middle
East and Asia, the company has seen a
continual acceptance of their “niche”
philosophy in that “RFMW, Ltd. is a
specialty electronics distribution company
focused on RF and Microwave
technology”.
“We’re truly humbled by the trust our
customers and suppliers have in RFMW.
Our tagline, “RFMW – it’s who we are,
it’s what we do” is also our strategy for
success. We focus on our strengths and
while the last 15 years have seen tremendous
changes in our organization and the
industry, our dedication to service and
our continuing commitment to provide
products that support customer design
and production efforts will not change”,
said Joel Levine, President and CEO of
RFMW, Ltd. “RFMW was born at the
2003 MTT-S trade show (now IMS) in
Philadelphia. Returning to Philadelphia
during this year’s IMS2018 trade show,
we took the opportunity to celebrate our
success at The Fillmore Philadelphia
where our industry partners became
superstars for the evening and entertained
our suppliers, rep partners and
customers with hours of live music.”
“This milestone is a testament to the
dedication of our people, both customer
facing and corporate support who, on a
daily basis, create an atmosphere where
customers and suppliers are served at
the highest levels” stated Steve Takaki,
in the back room of a supplier’s
warehouse, we’ve grown into a worldwide
organization with our own corporate
headquarters, 5 strategically located
stocking locations and a technically
supportive, international sales staff. As
we head into the future, we’ll grow and
change to build upon our success and
become an even more valuable distribution
partner.”
