125 Years Jacobs Coffee
On January 15, 1895, the Bremen merchant Johann Jacobs
opened his »Specialgeschäft für Caffee, Thee, Cacao, Chocoladen
und Biscuits« at Domshof 18 in Bremen. The small Bremen shop
has long since grown into a global brand. Thus, Jacobs Douwe
Egberts (JDE) celebrates the 125th anniversary of its Jacobs brand
in 2020 with various events and campaigns.
In April, the Johann Jacobs House on Obernstrasse in Bremen is
also to be reopened. Johann Christian Jacobs, great-grandnephew of
Johann Jacobs, has had the house rebuilt in its historical style and
at the same time reinterpreted. With the reopening, the entrepreneur
is continuing the tradition of the house and the history of his
family.www.jacobskaffee.de
