Lake Constance and its Region
Situated in the foothills of the Alps, Lake Constance is a scenically
varied and attractive holiday and excursion destination that has a lot

region is also rich in architecture and culture, and well worth a visit.
Lindau
Already on the bridge connecting the Lindau mainland with the
island, a view opens up that quickly gives an idea of what makes
this region so unique: the clear water of Lake Constance against
the backdrop of the Alps, the bright green of the old villa gardens
and the architectural jewels of the historic old town. The lakeside
promenade with its cafés is considered the most beautiful at Lake
Constance. From here you also have a great view on Lindau’s
landmark: the harbour entrance flanked by the lion and lighthouse.

Konstanz
Konstanz is one of the most important medieval city ensembles in
Baden-Württemberg, having remained intact during the last world
war with almost 600 individual historical monuments. Since 1982,
the old town of Konstanz has been under a preservation order as a
valuable ensemble and allows you to take a walk through history.
Friedrichshafen
The skyline of Friedrichshafen is characterised by the striking
white building of the Zeppelin Museum and the two towers of
the baroque Palace Church. However, zeppelins are more than just
a central museum theme in Friedrichshafen. You can also fly with
them and take a look at the picturesque region from above.
Mainau
Mainau is the third largest island in Lake Constance and is
owned by the Lennart-Bernadotte Foundation. A visit to the
island is a must especially for garden lovers as it is characterised by
extensive parks and gardens and a colourful array of flowers.
