Prof. Ralf Bill in Rat für Sozial- und<br />
Wirtschaftsdaten berufen<br />
Im November <strong>2010</strong> hat der Rat für Sozial- und Wirtschaftsdaten<br />
eine Arbeitsgruppe zur Erörterung der<br />
Chancen und Möglichkeiten der Nutzbarmachung von<br />
georeferenzierten Daten eingerichtet. Prof. Ralf Bill<br />
(Professur für Geodäsie und Geoinformatik der Universität<br />
Rostock) wurde als Mitglied in diese Arbeitsgruppe<br />
durch den Vorsitzenden des Rates für Sozial-<br />
und Wirtschaftsdaten Herrn Prof. Dr. G. Wagner<br />
berufen.<br />

Prof. Peter A. Berger erneut in den<br />
Vorstand der Deutschen Gesellschaft<br />
für Soziologie gewählt<br />
Prof. Peter A. Berger, Lehrstuhlinhaber für Allgemeine<br />
Soziologie und Makrosoziologie, ist im März <strong>2011</strong> erneut<br />
in den Vorstand der Deutschen Gesellschaft für<br />
Soziologie gewählt worden. Sie ist die zweitälteste soziologische<br />
Gesellschaft der Welt und zählt mehr als<br />
2.100 Mitglieder.<br />

for Social and Economic Data<br />
In November <strong>2010</strong>, the Council for Social and Economic<br />
Data established a workgroup dealing with the<br />
chances and potentials to use georeferenced data.<br />
The chairman of the Council for Social and Economic<br />
Data, Prof. Dr. G. Wagner, appointed Prof. Ralf Bill<br />
(Professorship for Geodesy and Geoinformatics) as<br />
member of the workgroup.<br />
Prof. Peter A. Berger re-elected to<br />
the board of Deutsche Gesellschaft<br />
für Soziologie<br />
Prof. Peter A. Berger, chair for General Sociology and<br />
Macrosociology, was re-elected to the Board of Deutsche<br />
Gesellschaft für Soziologie (German sociology<br />
association) in March <strong>2011</strong>. The association is the second-oldest<br />
sociological association in the world and<br />
has more than 2,100 members.
