ChemSys was established in 1999 as a producer-independent supplier of graphite
components and products. Graphite is a functional material with a unique profile
of outstanding properties (conductivity, heat and corrosion resistance, sliding
behavior) available as a massive or as granules of varying size, slurries, coatings,
flexible foils and more.
From the early days on requests from our industrial customers focused around
innovation (new products with so far unseen capabilities and improvement of
existing products using functionality of materials). Today we deliver customerspecific
products to companies on four continents in areas such as chemical
equipment and machinery, electrical equipment, non ferrous metals production
and processing, silicon, medical devices and aerospace.
Over time we have - encouraged by customer demand - expanded our portfolio
of functional materials beyond graphite to copper and other non-ferrous metals,
composites and, at an experimental stage, graphene.
Our typical customer first approaches us with a project or an idea and we help
them identify the most suitable material and grade, alloy or composite,
manufacture first prototypes, run tests and continue to supply anything from
small series to mass manufacturing, in many cases for decades.
In areas of our competence - functional materials - we are available to discuss
co-funding of start-ups, if concept, business outlook and most important the
people behind are convincing to us.
