SCHARFE ZUNGE
Die bissige Musikcomedy „Spanisch für Anfängerinnen“ von
Enrique Keil folgt dem in die Jahre gekommenen, aber durchaus
noch fidelen Torero José bei seinem Versuch, den Münchner
Damen in nur zehn Spanischlektionen beizubringen,
wie man einen Spanier verführt und wieder loswird. Herrlich
komisch!
The sarcastic musical comedy “Spanish for beginners” by Enrique
Keil follows José, an aging but still very bouncy torero, as he
tries to teach the ladies of Munich how to seduce and get rid of a
Spaniard in just ten Spanish lessons. Delightfully funny!

Nach einem bunten Sommer macht sich das Tollwood bereit

sowie exotische Speisen aus aller Welt.
After a colourful summer, Toolwood is getting ready for an equally
diverse winter. Visitors can once again expect a wild potpourri
of arts and crafts, artistry, performance and exotic food from
around the world on the festively decorated festival grounds.

ROLLENWECHSEL
Die Würde des Menschen, die Einsamkeit, die Liebe, den
Verlust und das Scheitern: In Ferdinand von Schirachs neuem
Buch REGEN geht es um die ganz großen Themen. Bei seiner
Premierentournee schlüpft der Schriftsteller erstmalig in die
Rolle des Schauspielers, um seine Erzählung, die wie ein
Theatermonolog aufgebaut ist, dem Publikum vorzutragen.
If you look very closely, you will find some frivolous details in Salomon
van Ruysdael’s newly restored painting depicting the Utrecht
“Plompetoren”. For example, two cattle copulating in the shade
of the trees and a man urinating on the city wall. The exhibition
“Fantasy and Reality” sheds light on whether this is actually a realistic
snapshot or provocative pranks by the Dutch painter.

BESINNLICHE ZEIT
Christkindl-Märkte gibt es in München an jeder Ecke. Der wohl
schönste und älteste befindet sich mitten in der Stadt auf dem
Marienplatz. Dort trinkt man Glühwein vor der romantischen
Kulisse des neugotischen Rathauses und im Glanz der 2500
Lichter, die den großen Weihnachtsbaum schmücken.
There are Christmas markets on every corner in Munich. Probably
the most beautiful and oldest is in the middle of the city on
Marienplatz. There you can drink mulled wine in front of the
romantic backdrop of the neo-Gothic town hall and in the glow
of the 2500 lights that decorate the large Christmas tree.

In November 2022 the Grand Opening of the new
RIANI Flagship Store in Munich took place. The
store of the international fashion label is located
in the luxury hotel Bayerischer Hof in the middle
of Munich‘s old town. With an area of 245 sqm,
the store impresses on two floors with an unique
atmosphere in which fashion meets interior design
and love for details. It underlines the value of the
collections and conveys the RIANI attitude to life.

ALLES FÜR DIE TÜTE
Nicht jeder kennt seinen Namen, aber alle seine Werke.
Günter Fruhtrunk war nicht nur Grafiker und abstrakter
Maler, sondern auch der Godfather der Aldi Nord Tüte. Seine
prägendste Zeit verbrachte der Künstler in Frankreich, darum
widmet sich eine neue Ausstellung seiner Pariser Lebens- und
Arbeitsphase im Kontext der französisch-deutschen Kunstbeziehungen
der 1950er- und 60er-Jahre.
Not everyone knows his name, but everyone knows his works.
Günter Fruhtrunk was not only a graphic artist and abstract
painter, but also the Godfather of the Aldi Nord bag. The artist
spent his most formative time in France, which is why a new
exhibition is dedicated to his Parisian life and work phase in the
context of Franco-German art relations in the 1950s and 60s.

Human dignity, loneliness, love, loss and failure: Ferdinand von
Schirach’s new book REGEN is about the very big themes.
On his premiere tour, the author slips into the role of an actor
for the first time to present his story, which is structured like a
theatre monologue, to his audience.

EINE FRAGE DER
PERSPEKTIVE?
Wer ganz genau hinschaut, findet auf Salomon van Ruysdaels
frisch restauriertem Gemälde, das den Utrechter „Plompetoren“
zeigt, einige frivole Details. Zum Beispiel zwei im Schatten
der Bäume kopulierende Rinder und einen Mann, der an
die Stadtmauer uriniert. Ob es sich dabei tatsächlich um eine
realistische Momentaufnahme oder um provokativen Schabernack
des holländischen Malers handelt, beleuchtet die
Ausstellung „Fantasie und Wirklichkeit“.

KLANGVOLL
Eine Adventszeit ohne klassische Musik ist wie ein Stollen
ohne Puderzucker. Wer sich auf die besinnlichen Tage einstimmen
will, lauscht dem festlichen Adventsmatinée mit der
Münchner Kammerphilharmonie dacapo. Unter der Dirigentschaft
von Franz Schottky spielt das Orchester das Weihnachtskonzert
von Arcangelo Corelli, Tschaikowskys Nussknacker-Suite
und Rachmaninows 2. Klavierkonzert.
Advent without classical music is like a stollen without icing
sugar. If you want to get in the mood for the sensuous days,
listen to the festive Advent Matinée with the Munich Chamber
Philharmonic Orchestra dacapo. Under the baton of Franz
Schottky, the orchestra plays Arcangelo Corelli’s Christmas Concerto,
Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite and Rachmaninov’s 2nd
