Interesting high school programs and option courses
Canadian schools are known worldwide for the high quality
education programs they offer. This is not a haphazard occurrence –
in fact, the per-pupil fi nancial expenditures are higher in Canada
than in all other leading industrial nations. Most noteworthy is the
great variety of wide-ranging course offerings as well as the many
extracurricular activities available to students. Students are also
encouraged to enrol in a number of courses of choice according
to individual interests, preferences and aptitudes. Our schools
offer international students a wide variety of unique high school
programs as well as many extracurricular activities. Course and
program offerings as well as extracurricular activities will vary
across Canada among the school districts. Courses prescribed by
our Ministries of Education remain constant but school districts
may also offer different option courses. All this is provided to
students in a comfortable learning atmosphere with caring teacher
supervision & support and fi rst-rate technical & sports facilities.
The extracurricular activities at the end of the school day also
enrich school life and help to develop a sense of cooperation and
community among students. They provide a solid opportunity
for students to follow their own areas of interest as well as to
experience new ones. The social contacts and new friendships
forged certainly add to the students’ overall international
