" Well, I declare", said the lady, " this impudence is<br />

beyond everyth<strong>in</strong>g. It is true, I had often heard that you<br />

<strong>Irish</strong> are too lazy and <strong>in</strong>dolent to apply yourselves to<br />

learn anyth<strong>in</strong>g, and that the trouble of keep<strong>in</strong>g your children<br />
