THE BROTHERS IN THEIR NEW SITUATION.<br />

;T was Thursday when the rema<strong>in</strong>s of<br />

Widow <strong>Burke</strong> were laid <strong>in</strong> their rest<strong>in</strong>gplace<br />

; and Father Fitzherbert, <strong>in</strong> his<br />

prudent k<strong>in</strong>dness, advised the two boys<br />

to go on Saturday to the house of Mr.<br />

Talbot, their new employer. " It will<br />

divert your m<strong>in</strong>ds", said he, " from the<br />

gloomy thoughts by which they are now occupied, and<br />

also, by mak<strong>in</strong>g your arrangements on Saturday, you will<br />
