Ferris Gilli has been an Associate Editor <strong>of</strong> The Heron’s Nest<br />

since the autumn <strong>of</strong> 2000. She conducted The Hibiscus School<br />

<strong>of</strong> Western Traditional <strong>Haiku</strong>, Sponsored by World <strong>Haiku</strong> Club,<br />

from January 2001 to April 2002. From 2001 to 2004 she was editor<br />

<strong>of</strong> “Treetops,” a haiku column in World <strong>Haiku</strong> Review. Her<br />

twelve-lesson guide Exploring <strong>Haiku</strong> was translated for use in the<br />

Romanian Educational System and appeared in Albatross, Magazine<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Constantza <strong>Haiku</strong> <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> Romania, Numbers 1 and<br />

2, 2004. Snapshot Press published her first collection <strong>of</strong> haiku and<br />

senryu, Shaped by the Wind, edited by John Barlow, in 2006. Her<br />

work in haiku and related genres has won numerous awards and<br />

appears in prestigious journals in North <strong>America</strong>, Europe, and<br />

Australia.<br />
