the children and family dog<br />
second honeymoon<br />
the inn’s weathered shingles<br />
darken in the rain<br />
spilling forth<br />
after all these years<br />
her secret wishes<br />
love fades...<br />
the bonfire masks<br />
the scent <strong>of</strong> the sea<br />
divorce pending—<br />
her silk scarf clings<br />
to his cashmere coat<br />
