copies of the book [i.e The Shepherd’s Calendar]’ but was not yet<br />

ready for the public for De Wit’s first drawing had proved unsuitable<br />

and the second was mad and engraved, thus two more month’s were<br />

added to the long struggle of the Shepherd’s Calendar towards the<br />
