Contacting emergency services
There are usually nominated people who are responsible for contacting the emergency
services when a fire or serious accident occurs. However, if for some reason this job falls
to you, it is important that you know what to do.
Activity 5
Design a sign for fixing next to the telephones that can be used to ring the
emergency services. You should include the following information:
1 The method of getting an outside line.
2 The number to be dialled.
3 A list of the services available.
4 The address and telephone number of the plant.
