Co-operating means 'working together' and by offering to help others you can make work
go more smoothly and give support to new colleagues.
Co-operating in a task can make it more efficient and enjoyable, and often means that
colleagues can learn good practices from each other.

Having effective working relationships when everything is going well for everyone is quite
easy, but maintaining relationships is not always easy when things go wrong, when there
are problems or issues in the workplace, or when you have to keep the relationships going
over long periods.
It is not the sole responsibility of one person to build and maintain effective relationships;
each person is responsible for their own part. This is easier said than done. It is not
humanly possible to be always cheerful especially if someone is having an 'off' day, or has
problems in their personal life which spill over into work.
