Procedure for Registration Old Rule<br />

P.9. The Secretary shall keep a register of Managers’ contracts of employment. Q.9<br />

P.10. Upon completion of a contract of employment between a Club and a Manager<br />

the Club shall within 7 days send the contract of employment to the Secretary<br />

for registration.<br />

P.11. The Secretary shall refuse to register the contract of employment and<br />

shall forthwith give notice to that effect to the Club if:<br />

P.11.1. Rule P.8 has not been complied with; or<br />

P.11.2. a contract of employment between the Manager and any other Club or<br />

Football League club has been registered under the provisions of these<br />

Rules or the Regulations of the Football League and the registration of<br />

that contract of employment has not been cancelled.<br />

Cancellation of Registration Old Rule<br />

P.12. An application for cancellation of the registration of a Manager’s contract of<br />

employment shall be made in writing to the Secretary and may be made by<br />

either party to the contract of employment.<br />

P.13. The Board shall cancel the registration upon being satisfied that either:<br />

P.13.1. both parties to the contract of employment have consented to the<br />

cancellation of the registration; or<br />

P.13.2. the contract of employment has been properly terminated by either party<br />

to it; or<br />

P.13.3. the contract of employment has expired; or<br />

P.13.4. a period of one year has elapsed since the Manager ceased to perform his<br />

duties under the contract of employment.<br />

P.14. Any period during which a Manager in breach of his contract of employment<br />

is employed abroad as Manager of a foreign club shall not be taken into<br />

account by the Board in determining whether such Manager’s contract of<br />

employment has expired.<br />

Pre-Season Meeting Old Rule<br />

P.15. All Managers are required to attend in person an annual pre-Season meeting<br />

organised by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited and failure to do<br />

so without just cause shall be a breach of these Rules.<br />

Q.15<br />

P.16. Each Club shall ensure that its Contract Players attend an annual meeting<br />

organised by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited at the Club. Failure<br />

to attend (in the case of a Contract Player) or to take reasonable steps to ensure<br />

attendance (in the case of a Club) without just cause shall be a breach of<br />

these Rules.<br />
