it, drawn <strong>by</strong> one horse, driven <strong>by</strong> John Clark.<br />

Old H<strong>and</strong>-engine "Invincible," from Thompsonville, built in 1820, drawn <strong>by</strong><br />

two horses, with a company <strong>of</strong> nineteen men. R. B. Wilson, secretary.<br />

H<strong>and</strong>-engine from New Haven, built 1825, <strong>and</strong> drawn <strong>by</strong> two horses, attended <strong>by</strong><br />

Old Ocean Engine, No. 4, in use from 1844 to 1856, drawn <strong>by</strong> two horses, <strong>and</strong><br />

Old H<strong>and</strong>-engine " Torrent," <strong>of</strong> Chicopee Falls, in use since 1850, attended <strong>by</strong><br />

Chief Engineer <strong>of</strong> the Chicopee Falls Fire Department,<br />

with his assistant chief, W. H. Osgood.<br />

Steam Fire-engine " Henry Gray," owned <strong>by</strong> the Boston & Albany Railroad,<br />

built in 1862.<br />

Steam Fire-engine from Chicopee Department, built in 1872, drawn <strong>by</strong> two horses,<br />

with a company <strong>of</strong> twelve men. Foreman, W. H. Lees ; assistant<br />

Fire Extinguisher, from Westfield, built in 1872, <strong>and</strong> drawn <strong>by</strong> two horses,<br />

attended bv ten men, under comm<strong>and</strong> <strong>of</strong> George Simpson, foreman,<br />

<strong>and</strong> Charles Allen, assistant foreman.<br />

Department.
