General notes for installing the <strong>start</strong>er battery<br />

Batteries discharge automatically <strong>and</strong> shall thus me serviced <strong>and</strong><br />
maintained properly. The higher the quality of the battery the lower<br />
the factor of self-discharge.<br />
• Mount the battery only at a suitable place.<br />
• Mount the battery/protective battery housing* so that it is protected from shocks<br />
<strong>and</strong> tilting.<br />
• Install the battery cable – according to the cable length – at a fire resistant base<br />
or in an appropriate cable duct.<br />
• When installing make sure that the pole shoes of the lead out cable ends can<br />
be connected with the relevant poles of the battery.<br />
Do not connect the battery unless installation <strong>and</strong> assembly of the<br />
generator systems are completed.<br />
