<strong>the</strong> dermalogica double<br />
cleanse routine<br />
step-by-step<br />
1 Remove eye and lip make-up with Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover or, for<br />
more stubborn eye make-up, use PreCleanse on damp cot<strong>to</strong>n.<br />
2 Shake an ample amount of PreCleanse in<strong>to</strong> dry cupped hands and spread<br />
evenly between both palms.<br />
3 Apply PreCleanse <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> sternum and spread up and out across <strong>the</strong> chest <strong>to</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> shoulders and behind <strong>the</strong> shoulders. Apply <strong>to</strong> face by spreading up and out<br />
across <strong>the</strong> neck, out across <strong>the</strong> jaw, out over <strong>the</strong> cheeks, down <strong>the</strong> nose and<br />
across <strong>the</strong> forehead, coming off at <strong>the</strong> temples. Perform spreading movement<br />
from <strong>the</strong> chest, below collarbone, up on throat, over chin, scissor mouth,<br />
between eyes, circle 1-2-3, temple 1-2-3 and back <strong>to</strong> chest.<br />
4 With one hand on <strong>to</strong>p of <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r, proceed with finger circles between <strong>the</strong><br />
breast and up <strong>the</strong> sternum, separate hands and circle out across <strong>the</strong> chest<br />
<strong>to</strong>wards <strong>the</strong> shoulders, turn hands over shoulders and use fingertips <strong>to</strong> circle<br />
behind <strong>the</strong> shoulders and up <strong>the</strong> back of <strong>the</strong> neck, 1x.<br />
5 Starting at client’s right side of <strong>the</strong> neck, roll pat across <strong>the</strong> neck and <strong>the</strong><br />
décolleté area, 2x.<br />
6 With fingers under <strong>the</strong> jaw, alternate thumbs over <strong>the</strong> chin in a figure eight<br />
movement, 4x. Continue using small thumb circles over <strong>the</strong> chin area, 4x.<br />
7 Separate hands and thumb circle across both sides of <strong>the</strong> jaw line <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> ear,<br />
lightly slide back with thumbs under <strong>the</strong> jaw line and repeat, finishing <strong>the</strong> ear, 2x.<br />
8 With fingers behind <strong>the</strong> ears, thumb circle in front of <strong>the</strong> ear <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> earlobe,<br />
making sure <strong>to</strong> work inside of <strong>the</strong> ear and around <strong>the</strong> spine of <strong>the</strong> ear, 1x.<br />
9 Once <strong>the</strong> front and <strong>the</strong> ear itself is complete, circle downwards behind <strong>the</strong> ear<br />
with <strong>the</strong> index and middle fingers.<br />
10 Slide back <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> mouth and thumb stroke above <strong>the</strong> upper lip <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> corner,<br />
<strong>the</strong>n below <strong>the</strong> lip, 4x.<br />

Perform upward inner cheek circles with fingertips, 4x.<br />
12 Cross thumbs over <strong>the</strong> nostrils, lift off fingers and thumb circle with light<br />
pressure on ei<strong>the</strong>r side of <strong>the</strong> nostril, right <strong>the</strong>n left, and small circles up <strong>the</strong><br />
nose <strong>to</strong> in between <strong>the</strong> brows.<br />
13 Finger frictions in outward circles with middle and ring finger over entire<br />
forehead, concentrating around <strong>the</strong> hairline and finishing at <strong>the</strong> temple.<br />
