Building and testing the Mobile App The Mobile App is now ready to be tested in the built-in emulator. To test the app: Building and testing the Mobile App 1. In the Server view in Developer Studio, right click restmgr1 and choose Start. 2. Choose Run→ Run Configurations. 3. Double-click Progress OpenEdge Mobile in the pane on the left. 4. Enter a name for the configuration. Select MyMobile from the Project menu, and MyMobileApp from the Mobile App menu. 5. Select the radio button for Run on server. Developer Studio will automatically generate the necessary link. 6. Click Run. After launching is complete, the mobile preview browser will open, and the Mobile App will run in the emulator. To view the app on a mobile device, open a browser on your device and enter the following URL: http://:8980/MyMobileApp For information on deploying the Mobile App for Web, Android, or Apple iOS, see Chapter 5, “Deploying Mobile Applications.” OpenEdge ® Development: Mobile Applications 59
