5.3 Vector Surface Currents Current components estimated bm the track of drifter buoy 3 awe compared to those estimated from the vector m n t algorithm. Three cases were studied to illustrate the performanee of the vector current algorithm. Each rase used a constant angular spsn of 12'. 209, and 36', respectively, while the other two parameters, Ar and AR, wereset to 1.2 and4.8 km, respectively (Seesections 2.3.1,4.6.4. and 4.6.5).
