Close to 80 per cent of the Yukon remains pristine wilderness with
5,000-metre peaks, forested valleys, unspoiled waters and untamed
wildlife. Parks the size of small countries stretch from Canada’s highest
mountain in southwest Yukon to its northern extreme at the Arctic Ocean.
The long, light-filled days of summer are fuel for touring, hiking, and
canoeing adventures. Then, as the days shorten, snow slowly blankets the
landscape, reflecting the mystical northern lights as they shimmer and
dance across the starry sky.
