This connector explores a lovely
little corner of the Yukon between the
Campbell and Klondike highways. Choose
from four lakeside campgrounds. Turn east
from the Klondike Highway about
30 km north of Carmacks.

Dawson City’s dynamic arts and cultural
scene is evident in the flourishing Klondike
Institute of Art and Culture (KIAC). Visit
the art gallery operated by KIAC in the
restored Odd Fellows Hall at the corner of
Second and Princess.
Parks Canada Tours, Dawson City
Hear captivating stories of the gold rush
era from knowledgeable guides attired in
period costume. The Town Guided Walking
Tour is a one-and-a-half-hour stroll
through Dawson City’s downtown core.
Don’t miss other Parks Canada attractions:
the Commissioner’s Residence, Robert
Service Cabin, and the National Historic
Sites of the S.S. Keno, Dredge No. 4. and
Discovery Claim.

The Midnight Dome
Drive or hike to the top of the Dome,
the rounded peak above Dawson City with
panoramic views of the town, Yukon and
Klondike river valleys, and Ogilvie
Mountains. This spot is extra special
during a summer’s night, when the light
won’t quit and the sky is glorious.
Hiking or Biking the Ridge Road
Trail, Dawson City
The 32-km Ridge Road Heritage Trail
makes for an enjoyable afternoon of
mountain biking or a one- to three-day
hike along the ridgetops back to the
Klondike River valley. Pick up a brochure

Diamond Tooth Gerties
A visitor can’t come to Dawson City
without spending an evening at Diamond
Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall. Gamblers can
whoop it up like sourdoughs, while Gertie
and the cancan girls perform shows
nightly. The casino is operated by the
Klondike Visitors Association—a non-profit
organization.
