Three orthophotos were available for the experiments for Switzerland (see Figure 4-13). They were recorded in true
colour and each covers 3 x 3 km at a spatial resolution of 50 cm. They show three very different land cover ranging
from urban (see Figure 4-13a) and rural (see Figure 4-13b) to an alpine environment (see Figure 4-13c).
