• DT Ndamukong Suh also accounted for five of the <strong>Lions</strong>’<br />
six quarterback hits against the Texans.<br />
¾ The <strong>Lions</strong> defensive line applied disruptive pressure against<br />
the Green Bay Packers in Week 11 (11/18), racking up three<br />
sacks (17 yards) and recording three of the team’s five tackles<br />
for loss.<br />
• DT Nick Fairley had another career day has he finished<br />
with a career-high seven tackles (four solo), two sacks<br />
(12 yards), two tackles for loss and one forced fumble. DE<br />
Cliff Avril picked up the third sack, giving him 2.5 for the<br />
year, while DT Ndamukong Suh finished with five tackles<br />
(two solo).<br />
¾ In Week 10 at Minnesota, DT Nick Fairley had a breakout<br />
game by applying pressure to Vikings QB Christian Ponder<br />
with four solo tackles, three of which were tackles for loss,<br />
and the <strong>Lions</strong>’ only sack on the day (7 yards). Fairley now has<br />
2.5 sacks in <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
¾ Against the Seahawks (10/28), the <strong>Lions</strong> starting defensive<br />
tackle tandem of DT Ndamukong Suh and DT Corey Williams<br />
combined for four tackles for loss against a quality Seahawks<br />
rushing attack. Suh had a pivotal tackle for loss as he stuffed<br />
RB Marshawn Lynch, forcing the subsequent Seahawks field<br />
goal attempt to land just short to end the half.<br />
¾ In Week 7 against the Bears on Monday Night Football (10/22),<br />
the <strong>Lions</strong> defensive line helped <strong>Detroit</strong> rack up five sacks on<br />
Chicago QB Jay Cutler. DE Kyle Vanden Bosch led the way<br />
with two sacks for a total loss of 6 yards while DT Ndamukong<br />
Suh had one for a loss of 8 yards.<br />
• LBs Stephen Tulloch and Justin Durant also combined<br />
for half a sack on the night, while rookie CB Jonte Green<br />
recorded his first career sack for a loss of 2 yards.<br />
• Suh now has 17.5 sacks for his career and passed DT<br />
Hentry Thomas (16.5) for sole possession of seventh place<br />
on the <strong>Lions</strong> career sacks list (since 1982) for defensive<br />
tackles.<br />
¾ Led by DE Cliff Avril, DT Nick Fairley and DE Kyle Vanden<br />
Bosch, the <strong>Lions</strong>’ defensive line played a huge part in the<br />
team’s 26-23 overtime win in Week 6 at Philadelphia (10/14)<br />
by applying consistent pressure on QB Michael Vick. The unit<br />

<strong>Detroit</strong>’s defensive line is led by the pressure forced in the<br />
middle the team’s defensive tackles: Ndamukong Suh, Nick<br />
Fairley, Corey Williams, Sammie Hill and Andre Fluellen.<br />
¾ The <strong>Lions</strong> defensive tackles have recorded the most sacks<br />
(14.0), have more tackles for loss on rushing plays (19.5)<br />
and have more total negative defensive plays (33.5) than<br />
any other group of defensive tackles in the NFL.<br />
¾ Suh is second (6.5) and Fairley is tied for fourth (5.5) among<br />
defensive tackles in the NFL.<br />
¾ <strong>Detroit</strong> is the only team in the League with two defensive<br />
tackles with 5+ sacks this season.<br />
¾ With Suh registering 6.5 sacks and Fairley garnering 5.5<br />
sacks this season, it marks the first time since 1996 that<br />
two <strong>Lions</strong> defensive tackles (DT Luther Elliss, 6.5; DT Henry<br />
Thomas, 6.0) had at least 5.5 sacks.<br />
¾ Fairley and Suh are tied for second (7.5) in tackles for loss<br />
on rushing plays by defensive tackles. The <strong>Lions</strong> are the only<br />
team in the NFL with two defensive tackles with 5+ tackles<br />
for loss on rushing plays.<br />
¾ On combined sacks and tackles for loss on rushing plays,<br />
Suh ranks second with 14.0 and Fairley ranks third with 13.0<br />
¾ In the opener, three defensive tackles registered sacks<br />
against St. Louis (9/9), with DT Nick Fairley, DT Ndamukong<br />
Suh and DT Corey Williams each registered one<br />
apiece. It was only the fourth time (third since 2010) that<br />
three defensive tackles have registered sacks in the same<br />
game for the <strong>Lions</strong> since quarterback sacks became an official<br />
stat in 1982.<br />

<strong>Lions</strong> third-year DT Ndamukong Suh continues to produce and disrupt<br />
opponent offenses. Since entering the NFL in 2010, he is tied for<br />
the most sacks by a defensive tackle over the past three years (19.5).<br />
Among defensive tackles in <strong>2012</strong>, Suh is tied for third with 5.5 sacks,<br />
fourth with 7 tackles for loss on rushing plays, and tied for second<br />
in combined sacks and tackles for loss on rushing plays with 12.5.<br />
¾ Since entering the League in 2010, Suh has the most combined<br />
sacks and tackles-for-loss on rushing plays by defensive tackles<br />
with 35 (19.5 sacks, 15.5 TFLs).<br />
¾ In just his third year, he is seventh among all <strong>Lions</strong> defensive<br />
tackles in career sacks since the statistic became official in 1982.
