week after the “Comeback at Kezar,”
the Lions routed Cleveland 59-14 for its

¾ The Lions opened up a 20-0 lead and
rolled to a 41-14 victory over the
Seahawks in the first-ever meeting
between the two teams october
24, 1976. greg Landry threw three
touchdown passes for the Lions, and
Jim Zorn was intercepted six times,
including two that were returned
for touchdowns (Levi Johnson and
Lem Barney). Zorn was the Lions
quarterbacks coach from 1998-00.
¾ The Seahawks defeated the Lions 37-14
in the third and final game during the
1987 players’ strike. in a game played
predominantly by replacement players,
Seattle QB Jeff Kemp passed for 344
yards and four touchdowns, while hall
of Famer Steve Largent caught 15
passes for 261 yards (both individual
Silverdome records) and three scores.
¾ in the 1990 regular season finale played
december 30, Barry Sanders rushed
for 23 yards on nine carries to claim
the nFL rushing title with 1,304 yards.
¾ The Lions’ game with the Seahawks

games) since the Portsmouth Spartans
moved to the Motor City in 1934.
