Under question 43a, page 33, those granted honorable location, under #1, the name of<br />

Dwayne Alston was deleted because he has withdrawn to join another denomination. Bishop<br />

Gwinn called for the approval of these for honorable location and they were approved. Under<br />

question 45 page 34, the names of Jather Peterson and Erieen Geisselle Thompson were<br />

deleted and placed under question 43.2. Under question 45, the amended list was approved<br />

by the Executive Session. Under question 46a, the the name of Dwayne Alston was added.<br />

Under 46c the removal of Edward Raymond Drew was approved. Under question 50a page<br />

37 who are the members on leave of absence, the names were approved by the necessary ⅔<br />

vote. Under question 52c, page 38, who are granted incapacity leave, the names listed were<br />

approved by the Executive Session.<br />

The names of the Retirees found under question 53, page 39 were read. Bishop Gwinn invited<br />

the new retirees who are present to stand and they were greeted with a round of applause.<br />

Under question 66, page 45, Who constitute the Committee on Investigation, the Committee<br />

on Investigation is valid until 12/31/<strong>2012</strong>, and then will be disbanded. Bishop Gwinn called<br />

for a vote on #66, page 45 and it was approved by the Executive Session. Under Question<br />

76, page 46, ‘Who are approved for less than full time service’ refer to the errata sheet for<br />

changes. The Bishop called for vote on question 76 and they were approved.<br />

Rev. Hill informed the Bishop that except for the reading of those who have passed away<br />

during the previous year, the report was complete and moved for its approval. The Bishop<br />

called for a vote on the full report, except for the reading of the deceased members. The<br />

Executive Session approved the report.<br />

Rev. Hill called on Sally Bates to report on Partners in Caring. Rev. Bates referred to an<br />

article about the Partners in Caring in the current issue of the Christian Advocate. There<br />

are currently 395 members. She recommended that the love gift presented to the family of<br />

a member be raised to $6000. The Trustees also made a recommendation that beginning in<br />

July <strong>2012</strong> the price per call be raised to $20. She invited those current members of Partners<br />

in Caring to stand and they were given a round of applause. Rev. Bates invited the rest of<br />

the Executive Session to consider joining as well. Rev. Bates asked the Partners in Caring to<br />

approve the increase and the benefit to $6000 and it was approved. Rev. Bates then asked the<br />

Partners in Caring members to approve the cost per call to $20 and it was also approved. Rev.<br />

Bates then asked for the Partners in Caring to approve the new Trustees, Charles Michael<br />

Smith, David Beck, and Chris Williams and they were approved.<br />

Rev. Bates then presented the officers for the year and they were approved: Taylor Mills was<br />

elected President, Sally Bates, Vice-President, Henry Lovelace, Treasurer.<br />

The incoming President, Taylor Mills, thanked the Executive Session and closed the meeting.<br />

Rev. Hill asked Ben Williams to report on the new Clergy Retreat Center at Camp Don<br />

Lee. Rev. Williams reminded the Executive Session to complete the survey that was sent<br />

from Bill Norton earlier in the week about how best to use this gift to the clergy. Rev. Hill<br />

then reminded the Executive Session that new leaders of the orders would take office. Steve<br />

McElroy will chair the Order of Elders. Betty Ann Buckley will Chair of the Board of<br />

Deacons. Corey Oliver will Chair of the Fellowship of Local Pastors and Assistant Members.<br />

Each of these was approved by their respective Board or members. Rev. Hill then named two<br />

nominees, Leonard Fairly and Liz Roberts, to serve on the missional committee in response<br />

to the removal of guaranteed appointments. There is a special committee that will help the<br />

Bishop make missional appointments. They were approved. Bishop Gwinn then asked the<br />

members of the Executive Session to stand in remembrance of those who passed away in<br />

the previous year. Rev. Hill read the names aloud (those names are found on page 35, and 36
