a grey full-bottomed wig, green jacket and brocade
waistcoat. Signed on the reverse L. E. Cuerland
Pinx Aa 1749 and Dr. Hermanus Heineken Natus
1714 Lond. (The inscription from the original
canvas has been transferred to the new canvas
by Bent Hacke chief restorer, Aarhus 1987). Oil on
canvas. 73 x 60 cm.
Heineken was a doctor in London. He died 26th of June
