golden medal. Marstrand got a prize for meritorious work.

He describes the painting and mentions that Marstrand
has a fresh and amiable approach to the motif.
The little children in the hut, where The Holy Family
rests, are delighted with the little boy with the yellow
hair. The girl is making friends with him, talking to
him and her little brother is standing behind his sister
looking with interest at the naked boy. Through the
doorway Joseph is seen watching out.
